2008 Honda S2000 Convertible 2-door 2.2l Gpw Grand Prix White Red/black Interior on 2040-cars
Clovis, New Mexico, United States
| For sale is my 2008 Honda S2000. It is Grand Prix White with red carpet
and black seats. I have owned this car since 2010. Mechanically,
the car is perfect. It has always been babied and has never seen a
track. The car currently has 78,501 miles but is daily driven so this
will go up. It has always been a Florida car until very
recently and has absolutely zero rust, it has only been in NM for 5
months and is garage kept. The good: H&R springs K&N FPIK intake ATE Super Blue fluid has always had Mobile 1 syn oil changed every 7,500k, Royal Purple in the differential, changed every 15,000, and Honda MTF in the transmission changed every 15,000. The top was replaced summer 2011 at Sarasota Honda in Sarasota, FL Has an Allen class III hitch (1.25") - a matching Allen 2 bike rack will be included for an additional $50 smoked side markers (OEM Honda) Iphone/ipod integration into the stock head unit with Lightning adapter. The bad: The top has a few small cracks. Nothing is leaking, i put a dab of Tear-Aid on it to help strengthen it. It still drops and goes back up without a problem. There is some cosmetic damage on the front and is limited to the bumper, but should be repainted. There is some small damage on the drivers side fender. It has been corrected and some paint applied to prevent any rust. The chrome is chipping off the steering wheel center emblem. I will be glad to answer any questions about this car and know it in and out. I am willing to meet anywhere in the Clovis, NM/Cannon AFB area. Payment will ONLY be in cash, or cashiers check if we meet at YOUR bank. $1000 deposit will be required within 24 hours of auction closing and may be sent via Pay-Pal, but the remainder must be via cash/cashiers check. |

Honda: We won't be able to sell ICE cars in China by 2025
Wed, Dec 30 2015China's push to clean up the country's woeful air pollution levels could mean the end of the traditional internal combustion engine there. In an interview with WardsAuto, Keiji Ohtsu, Honda's chief technology strategy officer at the company's automobile R&D center, predicts a lineup only of models with electric assistance in the country within a decade. He also discusses the Japanese automaker's green car goals worldwide. Ohtsu foresees China adopting some of the strictest fuel economy standards in the world in the coming years. "In 2025, we don't expect to be able to sell conventional internal-combustion engines [there], meaning we will be selling mostly hybrids including plug-in types," he said to WardsAuto. China's push to clean up its air comes as major cities continue to struggle with massive levels of pollution. For example, Beijing recently banned half of the cars from the road due to dire levels of smog. To fight back, the government has pushed automakers to launch more plug-ins, and the strategy has shown some success. China's BYD has already become the world's largest producer of plug-in vehicles in 2015. Even outside of China, Honda intends to become a far greener automaker in the coming years. In the near term, the company expects 20 percent of its global volume could be hybrids by 2020. According to Ohtsu, as much as 80 percent of Japanese deliveries could have some form or electrification by that time, but the US would be closer to 20 percent. However, the company sees hybrids more as a stepping stone than as the future of motoring, and the mass adoption of hydrogen is the real goal. "We think that fuel-cell vehicles will come into the mainstream in 2030, along with battery-powered electric cars. We also feel that going forward hydrogen will be the best fuel alternative," Ohtsu said to WardsAuto. Honda's experimental FCEV (pictured above) already hints at the brand's future direction.
2014 Honda Odyssey sucks it up for our editor
Thu, 28 Mar 2013When we heard that the 2014 Honda Odyssey would be getting the world's first in-car vacuum, we had to check this thing out for ourselves. Called HondaVAC, this tidy little sucker was co-developed with Shop-Vac, and it's actually pretty neat. It comes standard on Odyssey's top-trim Touring Elite model and can be fitted with a wide range of attachments all housed in the cargo area. Honda notes that the vacuum hose is long enough to reach surfaces in every part of the Odyssey's cabin, and that it will even run for a full eight minutes after the vehicle is turned off.
Good thing, then, that Honda chose to show off the new 2014 Odyssey here at the New York Auto Show, as Autoblog west coast editor Michael Harley clumsily managed to spill some snacks all over the cargo area (we tried to convince him to give himself a hickey, but he declined on grounds that his wife might not let him attend any more auto shows). Take a look at the video below to see just how well the new minivan cleans up.
Honda gunning for world's longest Rose Parade float
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Honda has participated in the annual Rose Parade for the past 53 years and returns this year as the presenting sponsor for the fourth time running. But it's not satisfied merely putting its name on the event; Honda intends to lead from the front with what promises to be the longest float in the parade's long history.
The float, previewed in the rendering above, will measure 274 feet long, as tall as 30 feet high, as wide as 18 feet and weighing a whopping 50 tons with 8,980 flowers covering its surface. The train will be led by a locomotive designed to mimic the Acura NSX, with Asimo at the wheel. The second car in the train showcases a Honda engine, followed by a robotic arm, and, for the first time in the parade's history, a pair of 30-foot LED monitors displaying images of spectators lining the parade route. A caboose inspired by the Honda Jet will pick up the rear.
Oh, and in case you're wondering just who Honda will be knocking off the record books with its 274-foot train of roses, that would be... also Honda. The Japanese company set the record in 2005 with a 207-foot float. Scope out the details in the press release below and click the image above to view in high resolution.
