2002 Honda S2000 Base Convertible 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Cortlandt Manor, New York, United States
I'm selling my 2002 Honda S2000. I've driven this car for the past three years and it's been wonderful. My favorite car I've ever owned. It was originally from West Palm Beach Florida before I bought it and had it delivered to me. The car drives strait and very very smooth. Has 161,000 miles. No vibration or anything on the highway. Car is completely original except for the seats and shift knob. The car can use a tune up but otherwise runs great. If I had extra money I would with no doubt keep this car. Everything works great; the a/c, power windows, cruise control, electronic power steering, roof, etc. This car has never been in an accident and all panels are originals with original VINs. It has a rebuilt title because the seats and shift knob where stolen as well as a slit in the roof. This car can be registered, inspected and driven just like any other car. I've maintained this car regularly and changed the oil every 3,000 miles. Please see the pictures for better detail before contacting me. Please don't low ball. I'm very considerate but at the same time I'm not eager to part with this car so serious inquires only. Other info: - It has brand new tires (Continental Extreme Contact DW) - K&N air filter - Black Plasti Dip on OEM wheels I have the title in hand. The price is $7,500 and slightly negotiable. No trades please. It has normal wear and tear for a used car. Areas on only the hood and trunk lid show some paint fading from being in the sun. I plasti dip'd the wheels to prevent further pitting and clear coat damage. Please contact me on eBay or by email at cfenston@gmail.com or call/txt at 914-714-3965 if you'd like to see the car. |

Recharge Wrap-up: Honda Legend Sport Hybrid launching in Japan; driving cross-country on chicken fat
Tue, Nov 11 2014Honda will begin sales in Japan of the Legend Sport Hybrid SH-AWD in January. The Legend is Japan's answer to the Acura RLX Sport Hybrid sold in the US. Up front, the new flagship sedan uses a 3.5-liter V6 with cylinder deactivation and a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission with integrated electric motor. In the rear, a dual electric motor unit supplies power to the wheels. The three electric motors are also used for generating electricity during deceleration. The car has three drive modes, including EV Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive. The result is a fuel economy rating of 40 mpg, according to the JC08 cycle. Read more at Green Car Congress or in Honda's press release below. While Jay Leno explains how marketing early electric cars toward women caused them to lose out to internal combustion, the same can't be said about the current era of EVs. Leno says that early EVs, like Leno's beloved Baker, appealed to women because they were quiet, clean, and didn't require cranking to start them. This led to accessorization marketed toward women, causing men - who had more buying power than women at the time - to shy away from EVs. This time around, though, EVs target a broader audience in a different culture from the early 20th century. See Leno explain the early EV culture while driving his Baker Electric in the video below and read more at Hybrid Cars. GKN's two-speed eAxle allows EVs to make the most of both acceleration and top speed. Single-speed transmissions must sacrifice top speed for acceleration, or vice versa. In addition to improving performance at all speeds and increasing range, the GKN's eAxle also performs well in terms of NVH, providing seamless shifts and low gear noise. In order to package the eAxle in the BMW i8, the unit is just 12.8 inches by 22.1 inches by 12.3 inches and weighs 60 pounds. Read more at Green Car Congress. An alternative fuels researcher at Middle Tennessee State University will drive a truck powered by chicken fat biodiesel across the country. Professor Cliff Ricketts is driving a converted 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit pickup from Key West, FL to Seattle, WA to demonstrate the viability of chicken fat as a fuel. Ricketts admits, though, that the truck's exhaust stack is loud and smells like French fries. Read more at Domestic Fuel. This content is hosted by a third party. 2015 Fit Kit is the perfect DIY car from Honda
Mon, 31 Mar 2014Ah... let the April Fools' Day automotive jokes begin. Honda is kicking things off, following up on last year's Honda Hair joke with a prank video featuring the 2015 Honda Fit.
It's called the Fit Kit, and as you might guess, it's a way to build your own version of the redesigned hatchback. There are 180,000 mechanical parts in the kit - some delivered by drone - but that doesn't seem at all daunting to the pair of obnoxious, self-described tinkerers that star in the Fit Kit ad.
Honestly, the video is pretty entertaining, with some biting satire of the DIY movement and its attendant cadre of mustachioed hipsters. Scroll down and have a look at both the video and the Fit Kit press release from Honda.
Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]
Mon, 27 May 2013If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
