This car is fast and handles like a race car. The engine puts out 240 HP at 9000 RPM right from the factory. It has the Honda VTEC system that allows it to drive like a Civic at low RPM and get 26mpg around town and accelerate like a racecar at high RPMs.
This car has been my daily driver for the last 5 years and has been well maintained throughout. The car runs and drives excellent and everything works as it should. Oil has religiously been changed every 5000 miles with full synthetic oil (Mobile 1) . Suspension, steering and all other mechanicals are in excellent shape. Anything that has come up mechanically with this car was always corrected immediately. This car is ready to get into and be driven anywhere. Needs nothing. Selling because I bought a new car.
The car has a JVC AM/FH/HD/CD radio and new speakers. HD radio, if you are not familiar with it has a bunch more stations that most people don't know about and most are commercial free similar to satellite but there is no cost for the service.
Now the bad. The car is 12 years old and has 109,000 miles on it so it does show some wear. The drivers seat leather does show some wear but there are no rips. The paint is recent and looks good but not excellent. The finish is not as good as many would like but looks very good from a few feet. Come see the car and decide for yourself.
Kelly Bluebook value for this car is &12,800.00 http://www.kbb.com/honda/s2000/2000-honda-s2000/convertible-2d/?vehicleid=6294&intent=buy-used&mileage=109000&upsellpath=b&condition=excellent&pricetype=private-party&anchor=true
I have set a very reasonable reserve. Please don't ask what the reserve is just bid what you feel comfortable with.

2014 Honda Odyssey sucks it up for our editor
Thu, 28 Mar 2013When we heard that the 2014 Honda Odyssey would be getting the world's first in-car vacuum, we had to check this thing out for ourselves. Called HondaVAC, this tidy little sucker was co-developed with Shop-Vac, and it's actually pretty neat. It comes standard on Odyssey's top-trim Touring Elite model and can be fitted with a wide range of attachments all housed in the cargo area. Honda notes that the vacuum hose is long enough to reach surfaces in every part of the Odyssey's cabin, and that it will even run for a full eight minutes after the vehicle is turned off.
Good thing, then, that Honda chose to show off the new 2014 Odyssey here at the New York Auto Show, as Autoblog west coast editor Michael Harley clumsily managed to spill some snacks all over the cargo area (we tried to convince him to give himself a hickey, but he declined on grounds that his wife might not let him attend any more auto shows). Take a look at the video below to see just how well the new minivan cleans up.
Honda getting in on the Daytona Prototype racing action
Fri, 14 Mar 2014Racing fans at Sebring are plenty used to seeing Honda powering into the winner's circle, the Japanese motor company having claimed class victories at the endurance race in Florida in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Those were all in the LMP2 category, but with the Twelve Hours of Sebring now part of the combined United SportsCar Championship, Honda is branching out into another class: Daytona Prototypes.
The purpose-built racing machinery that were once part of the Grand-Am series are now racing alongside the LMP2 prototypes from the American Le Mans Series under the united championship. So far Ford and Chevy have signed on to power the Daytona Prototypes, and now Honda's joining their ranks as the only manufacturer to field entries in both categories of the championship's Prototype class.
The competition-spec 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 revealed last month is based on the same J35 engine that powers everything from the Honda Accord to the Acura RLX and MDX. Now it will power the Riley chassis fielded by Starworks Motorsports, competing alongside the pair of Honda Performance Development (HPD) ARX-03b chassis which Extreme Speed Motorsports will campaign under LMP2 regulations, giving Honda a two-pronged, three-car assault on the top class of the new American sports car racing series.
Are you the 2014 Honda Fit?
Fri, 28 Jun 2013Despite being the oldest model in North America's subcompact sweepstakes, the current Honda Fit remains a paragon in its segment, offering unparalleled packaging, good road manners and robust reliability. In fact, even with far more modern competitors like the Chevrolet Sonic, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Accent and Nissan Versa Note on the scene, it may well still be the best of the bunch.
All of which explains why we're so nervous about the next-generation model, shown in these apparently leaked stock shots scanned from an in-country magazine (no, that rear end really isn't that wonky, it's the page curl distorting the image).
Will the next Fit retain the current car's incredible seating flexibility? Will it still offer a sweet-shifting manual transmission and a four-cylinder seemingly happy to bounce off its rev limiter all the livelong day? We won't know until we try it, but if these shots are representative of what we can expect in North America, it certainly will look very different. While the same two-box shape with roughly the same greenhouse remains, the front end looks much more aggressive than before, with squinty-eyed headlamps blending into a Civic-like grille, all sitting over a lower fascia with unusually oversized air intakes. The profile view is dominated by the front quarterlight and a new sharply rising character line that originates in the front fenders and terminates in the headlamps.
