The car runs fine and is very powerful but does smoke. The catch cans eliminate the smoke under throttle but at idle it does get smoky. At some point new rings/pistons are needed. A/C line rubbed against the I/C piping and wore a hole. Needs a new line and the A/C system serviced. a/d/s amplifier has some channels not working, needs a new amp. The AEM pump stopped working, so need a new pump ($100). You can run without it but WMI is a great safety feature. Front bumper tabs are broken, fenders have been drilled for bumper quick release Rear passenger fender has rust & a crease Front of hood has usual rock chips and paint has slight bubbles from having a bra on it This is a great car for someone willing to put a little time into it. The paint is still shiny and glossy. The interior dash, carpets and seats are very clean. I would love to keep it but I have a 7 month old at home and no time to work on the car.

This is what Honda's new F1 engine will sound like
Fri, 18 Oct 2013It appears that not even the legendary pairing of McLaren and Honda can produce a 2015-regulation Formula One engine that sounds as good as the current V8s. Much like Mercedes-AMG Petronas, McLaren Honda have released a clip of their turbocharged, 1.6-liter V6 ahead of next season, and well, at least to our ears, it's not the sweetest of singers.
We've reported on concerns that the new engines wouldn't sound "right," after years of the high-revving V8s and V10s. The more we're hearing of these new engines, the more reasonable those worries seem. That said, we'll need to wait until we really hear these cars driven in anger to render a final verdict.

Honda wins Commercial of the Decade, but not for the ad you think [w/VIDEO]

The mad men at Adweek recently voted for the Commercial of the Decade (Super Bowl commercials not included) and Honda took top honors over memorable ads from the last ten years by companies like Nike, Budweiser and Sony. That's not a big surprise considering Honda often puts a huge amount of effort into its on-air spots. However, the Japanese automaker didn't win for the commercial you might have expected: "Cog." Though Honda's famous commercial that breaks down a European Accord Tourer into a Rube Goldberg-esque machine was also a finalist, it was beaten by another Honda commercial called "Grrr" that's narrated by Garrison Keillor of all people. You've probably never seen it, but you can after the jump.
Volkswagen also made the list of finalists, but the particular ad chosen out of all the comical VW ads we've seen was unexpected as well. Most surprising carmaker with a commercial in the finals: Saturn. Who knew...
Honda S2000, Acura RSX recalled over brake boosters
Fri, 14 Jun 2013Honda has announced a recall that affects two of our favorite, dearly departed cars from the brand's portfolio: the S2000 roadster and Acura RSX coupe. A total of 5,239 S2000 models from the 2006 and 2007 model years are affected by this problem, as are 13,113 2006 Acura RSX models.
"A production error may have allowed brake booster components to be produced outside of the original specifications, potentially causing decreased brake assistance over time, which could increase the risk of a crash," American Honda said in a press release. Thus, dealerships will inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake booster setups in these vehicles, free of charge.
No crashes or injuries have been reported in relation to this brake problem. Honda says the problem was discovered during warranty claim analysis.
