What you are bidding on here is my "1986 Honda Prelude Special Edition".

This is an extremely rare car & model. Very few of this model were ever sold and not many of them left around. What makes this model so rare are the following things: It was the first year for fuel injection 2.0 engine, power steering, and 4 wheel disc brakes. Also was the first year for "Special Edition / Si Trim".  (In Canada they labelled it Special Edition and in the United States it was labelled 2.0 Si)

This car has not seen winter in 20 years. I had the body completely and properly restored 7 years ago. There is no rust and the under body is in excellent shape. Original engine with "matching serial numbers" that has always been taken care of and never abused. Car has never been modified and always had original parts replaced. Never missed any maintance & oil changes. Does not burn any oil. It has only ever been worked on by a certified Honda Mechanic since day one. I just had engine seals done and timing belt. This car runs and drives just like new. Garage kept and barely even seen much rain. Never been in any accidents and has clean title. It is however to be honest not in perfect cosmetic condition. The cosmetic flaws are some of the windows trims are peeling the black plastic and some are also faded. The other cosmetic flaw is the paint in some areas look a little dull and this is because I had taken it into a body shop last year for touch up work and it was not properly "buffed" so you can see in some spots it looks a little dull. However it is not to bad and there is no rust. It might be fixable with a good wax job or if you know how to use a buffer. I am not skilled in these areas. The interior is in great shape, no cracks anywhere on the dash. Only flaw in the interior is the drivers seat is worn. I had it taken in and patched up and it does not look that bad. I am also including with this auction a brand new full set of extra brakes for this car. The mileage on the speedometer shows 378063KM's but it really is 328063 because I had the cluster changed and it had more mileage showing on it so I've always kept a record of it.

Here is a list of all the new work and parts recently done on this car within the last year:

- Timing Belt & Water Pump
- Complete Brake Job Including New Calipers Front & Rear
- Fuel Pump
- All Engine Seals
- Suspension
- NGK Plugs & Wires

- Drive Axels

- Exhaust Front To Back
- Kenwood Stereo & Clarion Speakers Professionaly Installed
- Door Moldings

- Interstate Battery

This car needs nothing at all and drives 100% perfectly with no issues. This auction is perfect for any retro Honda collectors or for someone who wants a classic well built reliable car with everything already done on it. Winning bidder must make arrangements for pickup and a $500 deposit is required at the end of the auction. Note: If this car sells in Ontario, Canada I have no problem including a full safety / certify on it. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have regarding this auction. Please bid with confidence. Thank you for checking out my auction.

Honda asking used-car buyers to sign liability document [w/poll]

Thu, 31 Jul 2014

New cars under recall must be repaired before a dealer can sell them but used cars are under no such mandate.
When it comes to informing the car-buying public about potential safety hazards on used vehicles, there are two emerging schools of thought among used-car dealers.

Honda has finally killed the unloved CR-Z hybrid hatch

Fri, Jun 17 2016

Last week we told you that the CR-Z would bow out in Japan with a Final Edition, a typical limited-run job with some badging and unique cosmetic elements. Now Honda has announced that the CR-Z is going away in the US, according to Car and Driver. But there won't be any fond farewell for the two-seat hybrid hatch here. It won't return for the 2017 model year. We expected this – a long time ago, frankly. It's not so much that the CR-Z was a bad idea, or that the car itself wasn't fun to drive on some level. It's more about the promise it failed to fulfill. The car's predecessor, the first-generation Insight hybrid, was more fun to drive in spite of having no pretension of sportiness. And although Honda tried to claim a spiritual connection, the CR-Z had very little to do with the pulse-raising CRXs of yore, which in sportier trims were a flat-out riot to drive. Instead, the CR-Z paired lukewarm driving dynamics with some appalling styling and ergonomic choices. It was heavy and not terribly powerful or efficient. Its only real enthusiast calling card was an available manual transmission, something no other hybrid offers, sporty or otherwise. Given that it was unloved by Americans from the start, the most surprising thing about the CR-Z is how long it lingered on the market. Not every car works; that's the nature of things. Whatever was wrong with the CR-Z could have been addressed with the sort of emergency refresh that the last-generation Civic got in response to being widely panned by critics and consumers. Instead, the CR-Z rotted on the vine rather than getting an investment to fulfill its original promise. In the meantime, the highest-zoot supercars and Honda's own Acura NSX have made hybridization cool again. There's no reason a small hatch couldn't benefit from some on-demand electric torque. In many respects, the CR-Z's time is now. It wasn't quite the right thing and arrived at definitely the wrong time. That's a shame, but don't cry over the CR-Z. It's gone to a better place. Bisimoto 2014 Honda Odyssey packs 1,029 hp plus the kids

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

You know, the last time I drove a Honda Odyssey, I thought, "Man, this thing could really use another 781 horsepower." Thank goodness for the folks at Bisimoto, then, who have brought this "Power-Van" to the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. It's your standard seven-passenger Honda Odyssey with massive powertrain tuning to deliver a full 1,029 horsepower. Honda has not listed the torque output, but we imagine it's roughly eleventy billion foot-pounds.
That crazy power bump has been achieved through the use of - *deep breath* - an Infinity ECU, Arias pistons, ARP headstuds and bolts, Bisimoto's own 360-degree oil cap, a cat-back exhaust system, stainless mufflers, an improved fuel pump, new spark plugs, custom headwork, R&R custom steel rods, Turbonetics BTZ7265 twin turbochargers, a wastegate, blowoff valve, VP racing fuels and a whole lot more. Honda says the only chassis/suspension modifications come in the way of Fifteen52 wheels, 225/30-series Toyo T1 Sport tires and Young Guns performance exhaust coatings. So as far as we can tell, this thing still uses a front-wheel-drive setup. I bet it'll do somersaults.
Of course, this is SEMA, where we assume there's a four-modification minimum for any car that enters the Las Vegas Convention Center, so the Odyssey has been given added visual flair, as well. Outside, that means there's a Denmatic design theme, a whole mess of Honda accessories (check out that roof tub) and some new paint. Inside, upgraded upholstery has been fitted, as have Recaro seats.
