2004 Honda Pilot EX-L 4WD Sport Utility SUV
This is the Honda Pilot you've been looking for! This car was my baby. I've taken extremely good care of this vehicle. It's in excellent condition. Only 85,250 miles - mechanically it's in top shape and the inside is like new! No accidents. I religiously kept the oil and all scheduled maintenance up. It recently had new tires and brakes. The gas mileage on this SUV is surprisingly good. 22 MPG HWY I'm a motivated seller, which is why the price is so good. Have no doubt - this car is worth more than you'll pay. It's a great investment. Leather Interior is like new. No tears or rips. Heated Seat. Leather Covered Steering Wheel. Tilt Steering. Keyless entry. Alarm Security System. Driver's Side Automatic Seat Control. Front and Rear Control Air Conditioning and Heating. AM/FM Radio, CD and Cassette Player. Seats 8. 3rd Row Seating. Large Cargo Space. The back 2 row fold down creating a flat surface for even an even larger cargo space. I had a little bit of work done on the body - I replaced the passenger's side fender (It had a dent from when I clipped a pole while backing up). Also, I repaired a few scratches on the bumpers. Other than that the car is in tip top condition. The price is UNDER BLUE BOOK, and WAY UNDER Nada, Black Book and what other Honda Pilot EX-Ls are selling for. The only reason I'm selling is because I'm moving out of the country very soon.

Takata airbag victim looked like she had been stabbed
Tue, 21 Oct 2014We generally take certain principals for granted. The more water you drink, for example, the healthier you'll be. The more time you spend reading car news on Autoblog, the better informed you'll be. And the more airbags your car has, the safer you'll be. Because airbags equal safety. But that's not what some unfortunate drivers of vehicles equipped with Takata airbags are finding, and tragically finding out the hard way.
In what could be the most startling incident resulting from the airbag debacle so far, a woman named Hien Tran of Orlando, FL, was killed by what looked at first like stab wounds on her neck. It later emerged that the fatal injuries could have been inflicted by the faulty airbag on her Honda Accord. Tran bought her Honda secondhand, and may not have been aware that the airbag issue had not been addressed by its previous owner in a previous recall in 2009.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death, but it wouldn't be the only injury resulting from the malfunctioning Takata airbags. The units, employed particularly by Japanese automakers like Honda (which owns part of Takata) and Toyota, are the subject of a massive recall involving some 14 million vehicles from 11 different automakers.
SAE World Congress: Honda FCEV fuel cell stack has cells just 1 mm thin
Fri, Apr 24 2015The only update we have for people who are paying ultra-close attention to the progress of the hydrogen-powered Honda FCEV concept is that we now know how thin the individual cells in the car's fuel cell stack are. Speaking at the 2015 SAE World Congress in Detroit this week, American Honda Motor Company Manager of fuel cell vehicle marketing, Steve Ellis, told AutoblogGreen that the fuel cell stack is now 33-percent smaller and offers a 60-percent improvement in power density. We knew this already. What we didn't know is how Honda got there. Ellis said that these improvements are due in part to a reduction in the size of the fuel cell thickness. Each cell in the stack is one millimeter thick, he said. For everyone who isn't counting the millimeters of this car, here's the broader situation. Honda and the state of California (and others) are working hard on getting H2 infrastructure up can running. "The stations are accelerating as we speak," Ellis said. Three new stations have opened in the last few months and the state has pledged $20 million per year until there are 100 stations in California. Honda has also invested in FirstElement to install stations. The production FCEV will feature a range of over 300 miles and have a three-to-five minute refueling time. The car will launch in Japan in March 2016, with US and European sales starting at some unspecified time after that.
Honda planning sub-NSX S2000 successor
Tue, 13 May 2014Nine years separated the arrival of the original Acura NSX and the Honda S2000. By that time, the NSX was closer to the end of its fifteen-year production cycle than it was to its beginning. The latest word has it that not only is Honda planning a successor to the S2000, but it's not about to wait that long after the new NSX arrives before it's rolled out.
While the S2000 was a front-mid-engined roadster, its successor will, according to the latest from Auto Express (which we are taking with a grain of salt), be a mid-engined coupe - closer, in other words, to the NSX than the S2000. Power would come from a more potent version of the 2.0-liter turbo four developed for the upcoming new Civic Type R, possibly as part of a hybrid system derived from Honda's upcoming Formula One powertain to develop over 400 horsepower.
Whether the new sports car would revive the S2000 nameplate, and whether it would wear the Honda or Acura badge in the United States, remain to be seen. As does its potential production site: while the previous S2000 was built at the same Takanezawa plant in Tochigi as the original NSX, the new NSX will be built at the new Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio. The new S660 roadster, meanwhile, is set to be assembled at the same Yachiyo plant in Yokkaichi as the original Honda Beat.
