You are bidding on a powerful, comfortable and extremely reliable 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring model minivan.

This is not my own vehicle as I am selling for my father due to the fact that he has 4 vehicles and no longer needs a minivan. Otherwise, he would not be selling it as its been a fantastic car which has brought him years of happy driving experiences. Always been garaged indoor and has never sat out in the cold overnight during winters.

EXTERIOR
I've tried to capture all angles of the vehicle to provide a overall view of the condition. There are very small cosmetic rash marks and such on the front and rear bumpers and on a few of the wheel edges but nothing I would deem serious enough to focus on. I believe that most of the small surface marring can be touched up and buffed out with a finishing compound. There is a small dog ear corner on the front bumper's passenger side I believe from a slight clip while parallel parking which I believe simply requires a new clip fastener on the inside of the molding and some TLC to get it back in order. There are no rust issues as far as I have witnessed.

INTERIOR
The interior has never been smoked in or had any pets whatsoever. The front leather seats are worn well and have no strange mark other than normal wear. The rear passenger seats look like new. Floor carpeting is clear without any issues of unusual wear. Headliner is immaculate. There are normal scuff marks on the plastic surfaces surrounding the trunk but nothing that a nice clean won't be able to minimize. As far as I know, all electronics work well and seems to have no issues. Automatic climate control is amazingly accurate and consistent and flows with no strange smells or scents. One(1) Key fob is included with the vehicle.

TIRES
This vehicle sits on four run flat tires and are great for that extra added security if the tire should lose air since you are able to continue driving to the nearest repair station without damage to the wheels. However, the two front tires are worn to a certain extent that these should be replaced. The two rear tires still have a decent amount of tread left on them.

ENGINE
The V6 3.5L engine is amazingly smooth and will get you anywhere without issue. Always had regular oil changes as suggested. Its one of the best attributes of this vehicle. No other auto brand makes an engine as reliable as Honda. None. This particular vehicle is very proof and will go for another 200K at least if taken care of and maintained.

To reiterate - I am not the owner of this vehicle and selling it for my father. I hope all the images show the vehicle in its true form however if you are serious about the vehicle, I suggest seeing it in person before bidding. We are transparent, forthright and have nothing to hide therefore we want you to be confident in your bid. This is a nice vehicle in very good condition and bring many more years of reliable transportation for a large family.

NOTE - This vehicle is also for sale locally therefore I reserve the right to terminate this ebay auction at will. This vehicle is only available for pick up however arrangements can be made if its a simple request to meet in a public area to bring vehicle.

Kelly Blue Book value is $14,922 for a GOOD CONDITION and $13,422 for a FAIR CONDITION for this vehicle. As this is surely a GOOD CONDITION vehicle the Reserve PRICE is far below these numbers. Don't miss this opportunity!

Good luck!

Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic

Mon, Oct 24 2016

Consumer Reports annual Car Reliability Survey is out, and yes, there are some big surprises. First and foremost? The venerable publication no longer recommends the Honda Civic. In fact, aside from the walking-dead CR-Z and limited-release Clarity fuel-cell car, the Civic is the only Honda to miss out on CR's prestigious nod. At the opposite end there's a surprise as well – Toyota and Lexus remain the most reliable brands on the market, but Buick cracked the top three. That's up from seventh last year, and the first time for an American brand to stand on the Consumer Reports podium. Mazda's entire lineup earned Recommended checks as well. Consumer Reports dinged the Civic for its "infuriating" touch-screen radio, lack of driver lumbar adjustability, the limited selection of cars on dealer lots fitted with Honda's popular Sensing system, and the company's decision to offer LaneWatch instead of a full-tilt blind-spot monitoring system. Its score? A lowly 58. The Civic isn't the only surprise drop from CR's Recommended ranks. The Audi A3, Ford F-150, Subaru WRX/STI, and Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, and Passat all lost the Consumer Reports' checkmark. On the flipside, a number of popular vehicles graduated to the Recommended ranks, including the BMW X5, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and Cruze, Hyundai Santa Fe, Porsche Macan, and Tesla Model S. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the hilariously recall-prone Ford Escape getting a Recommended check – considering the popularity of Ford's small crossover, this is likely a coup for the brand, as it puts the Escape on a level playing field with the Recommended Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. While Ford is probably happy to see CR promote the Escape, the list wasn't as kind for every brand. For example, of the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles catalog, the ancient Chrysler 300 was the only car to score a check – there wasn't a single Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, or Ram on the list. That hurts. FCA isn't alone at the low end, either. GMC, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, and Mitsubishi don't have a vehicle on CR's list between them, while brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Nissan, Lincoln, Infiniti, and Cadillac only have a few models each. Junkyard Gem: 1992 Acura Vigor

Wed, Apr 24 2024

Honda was the first of the Japanese car manufacturers to bring a separate luxury brand to the United States, with the (Civic-derived) Integra and (Rover-related) Legend appearing as 1986 models. By the early 1990s, Infiniti and Lexus had muscled in with their own gadget-laden luxury machines, with even Mitsubishi and Mazda offering legitimate competition for the two Acura models. Something had to be done, in the viewpoint of Soichiro Honda, and so the NSX sports car was introduced as a 1991 model, followed by the Vigor luxury sedan the following year. Here's one of those rare first-year Vigors, found in a Denver self-service boneyard recently. The idea behind the Vigor (which, like the Integra, Legend and NSX, was badged as a Honda in its homeland) was that it would squeeze in between the Integra and the Legend and steal some sales from the Lexus ES 250 as well as European machinery. The Vigor was a front-wheel-drive car, but its engine was mounted longitudinally and angled to clear the hood. The differential sat directly beneath the engine and received power via a tortured maze of shafts. The reason for all this powertrain complexity was the fact that the Vigor's engine was a SOHC straight-five that wouldn't fit the engine compartment using Honda's usual transverse mounting (though both Daewoo and Volvo managed the feat with straight-six engines later on). The U.S.-market Vigor's 2.5-liter five-banger was rated at 176 horsepower and 170 pound-feet. The base transmission was a five-speed manual, but this car has the optional $750 four-speed automatic ($1,696 in 2024 dollars). This car is the cheaper Vigor LS model, so its MSRP was $24,999 ($56,539 after inflation). You could get a slightly smaller but still feature-laden '92 Honda Accord EX for just $20,175 ($45,629 now), though, and the cushier (though less nimble) Lexus ES 250 started at just $21,300 ($48,173 in today's money). American car shoppers just couldn't figure out the Vigor, and sales were weak. 1994 was the final year for the Vigor, and the TL replaced it beginning as a 1996 model. This one drove just over 160,000 miles during its life. Don't think of it as a drive to work. Think of it as a 30-minute vacation. If you get a German luxury sedan instead of a Vigor, you'll be sorry! I miss you… S. As was nearly always the case during the 1980s and 1990s, the JDM commercials were more fun.

Mitsubishi to join alliance with Honda and Nissan, Nikkei reports

Sun, Jul 28 2024

TOKYO — Japan's Mitsubishi Motors is set to join an alliance between Honda Motor and Nissan Motor, creating a tie-up between automakers with combined sales of more than 8 million vehicles, the Nikkei newspaper said on Sunday. Mitsubishi Motors, which is 34% owned by Nissan, will work with Honda and Nissan to finalize the details of their strategic partnership, Nikkei said, adding the three firms intend to standardize in-vehicle software that controls cars. Mitsubishi Motors declined to comment on the report, while a Nissan spokesperson would only say the report was not based on something either of the companies had announced. Spokespeople for Honda did not respond to a request for comment. The push comes as Nissan, Japan's third biggest automaker, has been steadily losing market share in its two largest markets, the United States and China, which together accounted for half of its global sales in the year to March. On Thursday, the company slashed its annual outlook after heavy discounting in the U.S. almost completely wiped out its first-quarter profit. Nissan and Honda said in March they were considering a strategic partnership to collaborate on producing electric vehicle components and artificial intelligence in automotive software platforms. Mitsubishi Motors is already part of a long-standing alliance with Nissan and France's Renault that the three automakers last year agreed to restructure, aiming for a downsized but more pragmatic and agile partnership. Separate collaboration between Nissan, Honda and Mitsubishi Motors could help Japan's automakers cut costs and beef up to battle tough competition in EVs, dominated by companies like China's BYD and Tesla. In China, the world's largest auto market, Japanese brands previously were strong but are now up against domestic automakers that have rapidly increased production and won over consumers with low-priced vehicles loaded with software.
