For sale is a Red 2002 Honda Insight with 34,386 original miles. We have 3 other first generation Insights that will be for sale later and it's time to thin the herd. This was a 2 owner TX car before we bought it. Clean CarFax with no issues. Per the CarFax the first owner had it until 3/6/12 with 22,825 miles. Second owner had it until 3/28/13 with 26,660 miles. He bought it for his daughter to drive but she didn't want the 5 speed and he drove it for about a year and then bought her something else to drive. Lifetime MPG at that point was 46.5, today it is 54.2 and climbing. We flew to TX and drove the car on the 1000 mile return trip home . My personal best with the car on a 600 mile trip was 68.3 MPG. As you can see in the pictures the exterior is bright and shiny with no fading as some of the Red ones do. The interior is clean with no stains, rips, or defects in the seats. The headliner is perfect with no stains or issues of any kind. The carpet has no stains but the dead pedal is worn through as a lot of them are. It has the front Honda floor mats, Honda cargo mat, and the Honda cargo net. The cargo mat has some fading, probably from the TX sun. The 5 speed transmission shifts smooth with no grinding of any kind. The A/C is cold and works great. All the power windows (even the "auto" down on the drivers window) and door locks work as they should. Has the factory Honda AM/FM/Cassette radio. All 4 of the the dash buttons: +, - for the dash light brightness, and the trip, MPH/KPH all work as they should. All the under body panels are intact and in good shape. It has the correct Bridgestone Potenza RE92 tires with only 5000 miles on them. All the glass is in great condition. The rear spoiler is shiny black and not peeling or sun faded. The IMA system works as it should, assist, brake regen, etc. The IMA battery was replaced under warranty by Honda on 9/15/11 with 21,772 miles and I have the receipt for that. On 3/13/12 the clutch master cylinder was replaced by the same Honda dealer, I have the receipt for that too. I have installed a harness on the IMA battery to allow it to be charged with a grid charger, the charger is also included in the sale. I have cycled the battery one time with the charger. If you do not want or need the charger I will take $250 off the price. The spare tire and all the jack equipment is in place in case it's ever needed. The headlight lenses are crystal clear and bright. All the VIN tags are intact on the body panels with the correct VIN. There is one remote key fob and 2 black keys and the owners manual. Things that need mentioned are: a set of scratches running under the passenger side sill that are not readily visible without laying on the ground, some sort of spots on the rear bumper cover below the hatch release, and a small spot of clear peeling on the lower front bumper cover. The previous owner said he put a small scratch on one of the front fenders and had it repainted, I'm assuming they repainted the front bumper cover at that time and the color match is perfect. The pictures show everything mentioned. Here's a chance to get a super low mile Honda Insight with a replaced IMA battery, virtually new correct Bridgestone tires, grid charger, and everything working as you would expect with these low miles. There are higher priced and higher miles first generation Insights out there for sale. I have priced the car to reflect the few flaws the car has that does not affect its operation or super MPG in any way. Don't let this chance to own one of these cars with super low miles pass you by. The car needs nothing and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country....I drove it 1000 miles on my return trip home after buying it!! I can take additional pictures of specific things if you want any. I have tried to describe everything as good as I can so there are no surprises. I have the title in hand. If you have any questions you can contact me at 309-3 six 0-5112. The car is available for inspection anytime before the end of the sale. I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is listed locally.

Henrik Fisker interview, and driving the Polestar 2 | Autoblog Podcast #643
Thu, Sep 3 2020In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder. They've been driving the updated 2021 Honda Odyssey, the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 and the new Polestar 2 electric sedan. After reviewing those, they talk about how the Chrysler 300 appears to be withering on the vine. Next, they take time to talk to legendary automotive designer and eponymous Chairman & CEO of Fisker Inc., Mr. Henrik Fisker himself, about jeans, horses and, of course, electric cars. Finally, they help a listener pick a $100,000 supercar in the "Spend My Money" segment. 2014 Honda Odyssey gets some tidy tweaks [w/video]
Wed, 27 Mar 2013Here in New York, Honda is offering up a refreshed version of its well-liked Odyssey minivan, bringing with it a slew of updates including the segment's first in-car vacuum. It looks to be a neat little feature, one that families will no doubt get a lot of use out of. Kids are spill-machines, after all.
On the outside, the Odyssey gets a revised front end with dark headlamp surrounds, shiny cross-bars in the grille, and an aluminum hood and bumper. We think the blacked-out grille trim looks fine on this charcoal model, but question how smart it will look on models with lighter paint tones. Out back, there are new LED taillamps, and it looks like a new wheel design will be on offer, too.
Other changes for the 2014 Odyssey include some structural reinforcements for improved safety and some new available nannies like lane-departure warning and forward collision warning. Inside, buyers will find new finishes inside the cabin, a redesigned center stack and pushbutton start. Scroll down for the full details in an official video and in Honda's press release, and have a look at new images live from the show floor in the gallery above.
Check out the orange McLaren-Honda racecar that might actually win a race
Wed, May 3 2017Following the announcement that Fernando Alonso, two-time F1 world champion, would drive a McLaren-Honda IndyCar in this year's Indianapolis 500, we now get to see the car. Naturally, being a McLaren, it's painted in the company's official orange hue. It's actually even more orange than the company's Formula 1 cars, which are two-tone: orange and black. The reveal of the car's livery comes in conjunction with Alonso's first testing day at the Indianapolis Speedway, which you can watch live, here. Alonso has never participated in the Indy 500 before, nor has he been behind the wheel of Indy cars. That doesn't mean he can't win, though. Fellow Formula 1 racer Alexander Rossi took home the win last year, and that was his first time at the 500. Rossi also won in an Andretti-backed, Honda-powered car, just as Alonso will this year. So it isn't unreasonable to think Alonso could win, or at least place well. Certainly his odds are better than driving one of the beleaguered McLaren-Honda F1 cars at Monaco that same weekend.
