Car was owned by the same family since new until earlier this year. It was bought new in Louisiana and then went to family in Wisconsin. IMA battery replaced @ 135,057 miles by Honda (have receipt), catalytic converter and O2 sensor replaced 5/5/2011, ECU replaced under warranty last week along with driver’s seat belt assembly, new air filter, oil and oil filter change with correct 0-20W synthetic oil, new Honda clutch master cylinder and fluid flushed, transmission fluid changed with correct Honda fluid, new rear motor mount, new EGR valve and EGR plate cleaned, new cabin air filter, new windshield wipers, 2 new ground cables, 4 new dash reset buttons, seat covers taken off and cleaned, new windshield installed Monday (4/8), tires have 4000 miles on them. Car runs great and the IMA battery functions as it should, charging and assisting when needed. Regen works like it should when braking. Transmission does not grind downshifting like some of the 5 speeds do. Everything works on the car as it should. Carpet on the driver’s side has the usual wear on the dead pedal and under the floor mat. Body has some scratches from 13 years of use and the front right fender is cracked (see picture). I have some of the previous owners repair invoices and the original window sticker but no owner’s manual. The owner’s manual can be downloaded for free on the internet. Lifetime MPG is 60.8 and just returned from a 320 mile trip and got 65 MPG. Goes in and out of lean burn as it should. VIN tags on the body panels as they should be. No warning lights on the dash or codes. If you know anything about these cars you know they are the king of MPG. Only reason for selling is we bought a 2002 Insight. I have the clear title in my hand ready to go. The car is available for inspection anytime before the auction ends. $5900. Additional pictures on request. No warranty as this is a used car. I reserve the right to end the auction early since I have it listed locally. If you have zero feedback you need to contact me before bidding. PayPal for deposit only. Honda Civic Tourer images arrive early on web
Sun, 03 Mar 2013Honda provided a teaser sketch of its Civic Tourer concept wagon about a month ago (right), but today, just a couple days before its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show, we've found these official pics of the car in question from WhatCar?
The Civic Tourer concept adds a little length and height to the current Civic hatchback sold in Europe, stretching the shape every which way to make a new wagon model that will compete with cars like the new Volkswagen Golf Variant, which is also making its debut in Geneva this week.
As we mentioned when Honda released the teaser sketch last month, the European Civic is different from the Civic sold here in the US, so the production version of this concept, which should debut in the fall, will never see the inside of a dealership in the States. Do you care, or does the smaller Fit fill that role well enough for Americans?
Watch this to get excited about seeing Honda back in F1
Thu, 09 Oct 2014Honda engines were the dominant force in Formula One through portions of the '80s and '90s, powering championship-winning teams at Williams and McLaren. It tried to recapture some of that magic in the 2000s but wasn't nearly as successful. For the 2015 F1 season, the Japanese brand is returning to the paddock yet again as a partner with McLaren, and in a new video it's acknowledging all of those past victories while looking forward to the uncertain future.
The video offers yet another chance to hear Honda's mill, and this time it's doing a simulated lap of Suzuka. Unfortunately, it's not entirely a joy to listen to. Like most of the current F1 field, it's a bit droning and just lacks the piercing scream of yesteryear.
With so many years out of the F1 game and completely different engine rules to overcome, the brand is essentially coming back to the sport blind. But any new competitors are a welcome addition to a series that can sometimes get rather staid. Maybe Honda and McLaren can rekindle their old flame to win another championship.
Consumer Reports says Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevy are big winners in brand perception survey
Wed, 05 Feb 2014According to Consumer Reports, the automotive brands that stand out in the minds of car buyers are, in order: Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevrolet. This news comes after the magazine polled its readers, asking them to take into account vehicle quality, safety, performance, value, fuel economy, design/style, and technology/innovation - which are the factors that car shoppers are most influenced by.
It's important to note that this award is only about perception. In other words, it's perceived quality, not actual quality. "Often, perception can be a trailing indicator, reflecting years of good or bad performance in a category, and it can also be influenced by headlines in the media," said Jeff Bartlett, Consumer Reports deputy automotive editor.
The brand that made the biggest jump in perception amongst Consumer Reports readers is Tesla, which posted an impressive 47-point gain to finish in fifth place. Subaru is also notable for finishing in the top 10, despite being one of the smaller manufacturers doing business in the US. Scroll down below for all the details from Consumer Reports, if you're so inclined.
