You are bidding on a 2003 Honda Element. It runs great, gets great gas mileage, and has tons of room inside. It has 188,xxx miles. It has a 4 cylinder engine and a 5 speed manual transmission. If you know anything about Hondas you know that they are very dependable and very fuel efficient and this one is no exception. I have a clear title in my name ready to go to the highest bidder. Being a used vehicle this element does have a few minor issues. The rear struts have begun to make a slight "clunking" noise and are probably due to be replaced, the tires are worn to the wear indicators and are due to be replaced as well. The interior of the car is in good shape, with only a few issues. The seats do not have any rips or tears but do have some stains, the driver's door panel has a pretty sizable crack in it. There is some adhesive on the dash where a navigation unit was once mounted and the interior rear view mirror is missing. The exterior doesn't have any major damage, but does have some small dings, imperfections, and scratches here and there. This element has power windows and power locks, the air conditioning blows ice cold, heater blows hot, it runs GREAT, none of the warning lights are lit up. It will make someone an excellent car. I try to provide pictures everything, but if you'd like more detailed pictures of any specific part please just ask and I'll get them to you in less than 24 hours. This is a no reserve auction so the highest bidder will win. Please do not bid if you can't pay. A $250 deposit is due via PayPal within 24 hours of the auction's close, with the remainder of the sale price due in cash when the car is picked within 7 days of close of auction. I will not finance this car for you, I will not take payments, I will not take a check, and I will not ship it. If you would like to have it shipped I am fine with that, but it's up to you to arrange to have it picked up and I must have been paid in full before it can be picked up. This car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction due to local sale.

The Summary: This is a great car, it runs great, it is reliable, it is good on gas. It is also a used car, so it does have some imperfections. It will make the winning bidder an excellent vehicle, so good luck and happy bidding!

Scion FR-S pitted against oldtimers RX-8 and S2000

Tue, 07 May 2013

There are very few vehicles available today that compare directly with the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ twins. A case could be made for the Mazda MX-5 Miata, and possibly even six-cylinder versions of American coupes like the Ford Mustang. Pretty much everything else is either too expensive or is powered by the wrong set of wheels.
The boys from EverydayDriver on YouTube decided the only fair way to judge the inherent qualities of the Toyobaru twins was to pit them against two standard-bearers of years past: The Honda S2000 and Mazda RX-8. Neither of these cars is an exact matchup, with the Honda boasting a convertible top and the RX-8 offering more practicality via a rear seat and two reverse-opening doors for easier access. What they do offer, however, are similar performance stats and proven reputations for excellent handling.
None of this talk answers the real question, though: Which one wins the comparison test? Scroll down to watch the video, and be prepared for something of a surprise conclusion.

Is Acura working on a premium minivan?

Mon, 10 Nov 2014

Here's a vehicle that nobody saw coming. Unless Honda/Acura is keen to play tricks on us, our spy shooters recently caught what appears to be an Acura minivan fully camouflaged for testing on some back roads on a rainy day.
Details on the disguised minivan are rather scarce, but it certainly bares all the hallmarks of an Acura. The front grille alone gives it away with a look that mimics the latest MDX, and note that the orientation of the rear door handle heavily suggests that it slides to open. Moving inside, the tester appears to borrow some tech from the luxury brand's parts bin too, and the Acura logo seems to be covered in tape right in the middle of the steering wheel.
Mechanically, our spies believe that the production version of Acura's minivan might borrow the brand's V6, nine-speed automatic and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive - a similar layout to some trims of the TLX. The photographers also think that the vehicle is a little wider than the current Honda Odyssey to give occupants a bit more room. Given the more luxurious focus, the high-end model would surely carry seven people with a bit more opulence than the standard Odyssey, especially, we'd imagine, for second-row passengers. A launch for this posh hauler could be slated for the 2016 or 2017 model years.

Watch Obama kick the ball around with Honda's latest ASIMO

Sat, 26 Apr 2014

Bend it like Obama. The Commander-In-Chief was just in Japan for a state visit, and his trip took him to a science expo, where he played a bit of soccer with Honda's latest ASIMO robot. The entire scene was captured on video, and showed the innovative robot as it ran, hopped and kicked a soccer ball to a bemused President Obama.
ASIMO had a number of upgrades ahead of its meeting with the president, which were originally shown off to the crowds at the 2014 New York Auto Show. These tweaks to the 110-pound robot included a number of changes in both its upper and lower body to improve stability, speed and balance. Although not shown in this video, Honda claims the lower-body upgrades allow ASIMO to climb faster and more smoothly than ever before. Its hands are more dexterous and expressive, as well, while new sensors give it an even better sense of touch.
Before ASIMO smoothly and effortlessly jogged across the stage, the robot and the President had a brief chat. According to The Wall Street Journal, Obama later told students at the Miraikan Science Expo in Tokyo that ASIMO and the other robots at the fair "were a little scary. They were too lifelike."
