You are looking at a 1977 Honda Civic Wagon CVCC with a Hondamatic transmission. I have had this car for less than a year. I hate to part with it but I already have a project that needs to be finished. I have put about 2,000 miles on it since I bought it. It runs great, idles nice, and starts up every time. I have taken it on a 1,200 mile road trip this summer. Tires are at about 40%. This car is a daily driver currently but could easily be restored into something much more. This is the 3rd CVCC I have had and is the cleanest and best one out of the 3.
Within the last 500 miles I have replaced the following: New passenger side CV axle New Water Pump New Timing Belt New Lower Radiator Hose New Thermostat New Temperature Sensor New Starter *Radiator re-done by Rocky Mountain Radiators, Helena, MT Extra: A very comprehensive factory service manual. *Snowboard/Ski Rack is not included. The car is in overall good condition considering it's age. The body is straight and has no dents but has a few spots of rust and could use a paint job for restoration. WIth the exception of the front under the bumper the rust spots are small and would not bee too bad to repair. The inside is in remarkable condition except for the front seats and a few small dash cracks. The headliner, carpet, trim, weatherstripping, etc. are all in great condition. Note: The odometer is a 5 digit odometer and reads about 15,000 miles. My best educated guess is that it has 115,000 judging by the condition of the car and how it rides and drives. *I strive to describe my products as best as I can. That being said, this is a car that almost 40 years old and therefore is being sold as is with no warranties or returns accepted. I encourage questions and phone calls so you can feel confident about your purchase. Don't hesitate to email with questions or call (406)431-5400. Thanks for looking! |

Honda helps Santa take his sled into the 21st century
Tue, Dec 23 2014If you had put nearly 75 billion miles on your only company car, it would most likely be pleading for retirement in every rickety way it knew how. That's Santa's situation, so St. Nick heads to his not-exactly-local-at-all Honda dealer for a new sled, and the company obliges with a red rider fit for the new millennium. But Honda doesn't try to shoehorn he of the white beard into an Civic on rails. Working from Crayon sketches of safe sleighs and wanting to insure a lengthy stint on Santa's "Nice" list, the Honda reps work up a bespoke offering from a block of clay, but still give it features like a rear-view camera and a cargo bay ejector platform fitted with a parachute. You can see their gift to Santa in the video above. And for some even more far out holiday offerings from Honda, check out their Honda Days videos featuring Skeletor singing a bro hymn to He-Man, G.I. Joe serenading Gem, and Gumby and Pokey singing whatever they can think of. News Source: Honda via YouTube Honda Videos
Honda and Acura electric crossovers will be built by General Motors
Wed, Jan 6 2021General Motors will partially offset the cost of developing electric technology by manufacturing battery-powered cars for Honda and Acura, according to an unverified report. Ultium battery technology is at the center of the deal. Without citing sources, industry trade journal Automotive News wrote that Honda has agreed to enlist rival-turned-partner General Motors as one of its EV suppliers during the first half of the 2020s. The factory that currently builds Chevrolet's Blazer and Equinox in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, will begin manufacturing a Honda crossover in 2023, meaning it likely won't arrive until the 2024 model year. On the other side of the border, the former Saturn plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, will churn out an Acura crossover beginning in 2024, about two years after it starts making the Cadillac Lyriq. Neither model has been revealed, and Honda hasn't commented on the report. Insiders familiar with the contents of the firm's product pipeline told Automotive News that both crossovers will be about as big as the Lyriq (pictured), which will be close in size to the 190-inch long XT5. Power for the two models will come from the Ultium battery technology that General Motors is developing for over a dozen electric cars, including the GMC Hummer and a Chevrolet-badged pickup we might discover next week during CES 2021. Both EVs will be built by General Motors, and they'll be powered by General Motors-developed technology (some will even receive OnStar and the hands-free Super Cruise driver assistance system), but everything motorists see and touch will be Honda- or Acura-specific. We're not expecting that the tie-up will spawn a pair of blandly badge-engineered crossovers; stylists will likely give each one its own design identity inside and out. Honda had previously confirmed plans to build at least two electric models on General Motors bones, and it announced that its American partner would also handle manufacturing, but this is the first time executives are throwing Acura onto the stage. What remains to be seen — assuming the report is accurate — is whether the Lyriq will compete directly against its Acura-branded sister model, or if they'll be positioned in different segments. eBay Find of the Day: 1985 Honda City Turbo II is JDM forbidden fruit you can own
Fri, 14 Feb 2014It's always fun to cruise different global eBay Motors sites and check out the cars that we never got here. Thankfully, America's 25-year import limit on cars means that some of the rarities from the 80s are finally legal on these shores. This 1985 Honda City Turbo II is a great example of a fun, little car that we never got new but can be made legal here now.
The City was basically the Japanese company's '80s equivalent of today's Fit, albeit significantly smaller. The little urban runabout was so popular in its basic form that Honda decided to take things up a notch and turbocharge it. That car sold enough to warrant an even higher performance version called the Turbo II, which added an intercooler and the flared fenders you see here. The latter helped it earn the nickname "bulldog" for its boxy, aggressive appearance.
Honda claimed at the time that its little 1.2-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder produced 109 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque with a five-speed manual. In a car that weight just 1,620 pounds, you can imagine it was a very entertaining little package.
