Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful collectible 1980 Honda Civic 1500 DX with a rare Hondamatic Transmission. This is truly an amazing automobile that has stood the test of time for 33 years. It was bought brand new down in Auburn Alabama at King Honda in Sept. of 1980. The original owner was in her late 50's. She had never owned a car before and this was her first car. In fact she couldn't even drive it back. She had her sister drive it up to Florence Al for her. Once back the owner learned to drive in it and owned it until she passed in Jan of this year at the age of 90. The car is unbelievably clean with just under 39,000 miles. It has been so well maintained and documented that I have not driven it. It runs and drives perfect and the AC even works and blows cold. The interior of the car is amazing and cleaner then mine and my wife's cars. The rubber around all the windows are still like they came from factory. Everything on the car is original and just amazing. It does have a couple of small door dings but they can be taken out by a paint less dent doctor. I purchased the car to keep it for a long time but do to financial reasons I am forced to sell it. Another thing about this car is the documentation. I have everything imaginable for this car. They range from the original Title dated that was issues Oct 1, 1980, window sticker, original options sticker, receipts from the past 33 years, owners manual, owners rust prevention manual, warranty booklet, even have the business card from the car salesman and the most amazing thing, all the returned checks from day of purchase all the way up to the most recent maintenance. What I like the most is this car was intended to be driven and not collected and still is new condition. So to any old school Honda collectors out there or just even any Honda enthusiast, this is a rarity for sure. I really wish I could keep the car but it has to go along with other stuff we have. Also text me at 256-694-1268 if you want anymore pictures. This is truly an amazing car and I can tell you that you will not find another one even close to it.
I require a $500 non refundable deposit at close of auction. I do not deal with PayPal anymore so please contact me and we can make arrangements. After the deposit buyer will have 7 days to pick the car up. Again please contact me before or the night the auction ends to set up deposit payment.
Thanks

Honda gives itself room to delay FCV hydrogen car until June 2017
Tue, Mar 3 2015In a new press release issued to discuss vehicles on display at the Geneva Motor Show, Honda said something a bit curious about its upcoming hydrogen car. The release reads: "The FCV Concept previews an all-new fuel cell road car that is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in the first half of 2016, and subsequently in the USA and Europe within the following 12 months." The last official word was that Honda said the car would arrive in Japan in March 2016, with US and European roll-out some time after that. The new announcement gives the company some wiggle room to adjust that timeline, since 12 months after the first half of 2016 could, theoretically, be at late as June 30, 2017. So, we asked Honda North America's senior environment and safety specialist Angie Nucci if this means that the FCV will be delayed at all. She said she doesn't have additional details for the next-gen FCV availability, "other than March 2016 in Japan and then the US and Europe after. It's the same timing that we discussed in LA." In other words, we might be reading too much into this. But it's worth noting in case the timeline does slip (again). Honda overhauls North American operations with eye towards more autonomy
Mon, 25 Feb 2013The increasing sales success of Honda North America (HNA) has led to Honda brass in Japan reorganizing regional operations here. The management shuffling here and in Japan is intended to both streamline and confer more responsibility on HNA "as the region assumes a larger role in shaping Honda's global business," and as Honda builds more facilities that serve several roles in the product development pipeline.
Honda's executive vice president and president of HNA Tetsuo Iwamura was named COO of automotive operations, taking over a position that had been handled by company president Takanobu Ito. Iwamura's new role puts him in charge of anything Honda makes that has four wheels, which Automotive News says equates to 78 percent of the company's global revenue.
The current company CFO, Fumihiko Ike, will fill the now-vacant role of company chairman and Kohei Takeuchi will take his place. Takeuchi is presently the operating officer, general manager of the accounting division. The executive swaps take effect April 1, 2013.
Honda reveals XR-V crossover in Chengdu
Thu, 04 Sep 2014Global automakers have been moving largely towards global products, but that doesn't mean it can't tweak them for local tastes. Take Honda, for example, and its new compact crossover. Unveiled late last year as the Vezel, the crossover is expected to arrive in Europe and North America as the HR-V. But in China, it's being called the XR-V and adopts the form you see here.
Presented by Dongfeng Honda at the Chengdu Motor Show, the new XR-V is based closely on the Vezel but adopts some unique bodywork for a more rugged look. The front end gets a more SUV-like grille and bumper, while the side flanks are less swoopy but with more muscular wheel arches. The result may not be as bonkers as the Mugen version that debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon tuner show, but reminds us more of the similarly named and ruggedized Subaru XV Crosstrek.
Though technically billed as a concept, the Chinese-market XR-V looks just about ready for production as it is. Both 1.5- and 1.8-liter engines are specified, and while there may not be a wealth of other details available, you can read what there is in the press release (presented in original and translated forms) below.
