Honda Civic SI.  Drive train is stock and vehicle is well maintained and in good working condition.  Last service done at Nalley Honda of Union City, Union City ,GA on 12/28/2013 at 120,268 miles.  Multi Point Inspection showed all is well and no repair, adjustment, maintenance needed except tires which I replace April 2014.

I purchased this car in 2009 with 21,532 miles from Nalley Toyota of Roswell, Roswell, GA.  The vehicle has had all Honda scheduled maintenance performed by Honda.  Nalley Honda of Union City has done all the work on this vehicle since I purchased it except for a few of the oil/filter changes and tire rotations done by Hoffman Tire, Fayetteville, GA.  Always synthetic oil in the engine since I purchased it.

A few modifications I have made:

Door armrests (all four), front center armrest and shift boot are leather purchased from redlinegoods.com (see photos).  Red line makes a black leather with red stitching that matches the cut, color and fit of the stock interior of the car.

Drag DR 37 wheels 19x8.5 5-114.3 40FB purchased new from Discount Tire new in 2011.  I run Yokohama S Drive 25/30R-19 tires on the car.  Go to discounttire.com to read about the S Drives and the DR 37's.

Latest set of tires on the car were purchased new on 4/17/2014 at 125,133 miles.  I also purchased repair, refund, replacement protection for the tires from Discount Tire.  Tire protection is transferable to new owner.

Normal road rash on the front nose (see photos).  Also, there is some curb rash under the nose on the front (see photos).

This car looks and runs well.

NOTE:  On 01/15/2013 the car was hit in the rear.  Body Magic, Peachtree City, GA did the repair.  Minor damage to plastic bumper and trunk panel.  Full repair and no complication or visible imperfections.

If you have a special photo request, please ask.  I will be happy to provide.

Honda recalls nearly 10,000 new Civic models over pinched tires

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

Honda is recalling some 9,816 Civic LX coupes and sedans from the 2014 model year due to a potential tire problem.
According to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notice, the safety problem stems from an installation problem at a supplier, which may have caused the tire bead to become pinched between the steel wheel and the mounting equipment. As a result, tire beads may have been damaged, which could result in a loss of pressure, a condition that could lead to an increased accident risk, or at least an increased risk of being stranded and late for work.
Honda spokesperson Chris Martin tells Autoblog, "Only about 1,800 of that 9,800 have been sold because we caught it so quickly. The majority of them were in transit or unsold at dealers."

Honda recalling 405K vehicles over airbag issue

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

Honda is in hot water due to an airbag glitch that is causing it to recall 405,400 vehicles. According to the campaign, the supplemental restraints might fire for no apparent reason. 342,000 of the affected vehicles are 2003 and 2004 Odyssey minivans, which gels with a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation we reported on in June.
Joining the Odyssey in the recall is the Acura MDX, with 63,400 units covered from the 2003 model year. Unlike the van, though, the MDX's recall covers Japan and Australia, in addition to the US and Canada. Both vehicles are suffering from an airbag control unit that is prone to malfunction when exposed to electrical noise, a condition that can cause the airbags to deploy without warning. Although no crashes have been reported in such scenarios, there have been some injuries typical of airbag deployment - abrasions and such.
Honda will be mailing recall notices to owners near the end of October, asking them to bring their vehicles into the dealership for installation of an electrical noise filter. The repair will take about an hour and be free of charge. Scroll down for the official announcement from Honda.

Honda NM4 concept motorcycles channel Akira

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

Honda has rolled out a pair of new motorcycle concepts at the Osaka Motorcycle Show in its home market of Japan, and they're our first glimpse at the company's "neo-futuristic" NM4. Shown in both stealthy black and an eye-catching white, the NM4s are sharp creations that feature interesting riding positions.
Honda calls the concepts' seating "the cockpit position," claiming that it unifies bike with rider. We don't know about that, but we will admit that compared to most sportbike seats - which are more or less just bits of padding to squeeze between your legs - these bikes' saddles look more or less like conventional seats. Honda says that their backrests are adjustable, which should provide a comfortable riding experience. Still, with these bikes' sporting looks, we can't imagine their low seats are going to be great for dipping knees through the bends (although the should lower the center of gravity, so perhaps it's a wash).
Both show bikes, NM4-01 and NM4-02, are powered by 745-cc, two-cylinder engines, while dual-clutch transmissions are employed to dispatch unspecified amounts of power to their wide rear tires. The bikes are nearly identical save for different colors, but the NM4-02 features an integral set of hard panniers for increased utility. We've got a gallery of both, so hop up above and take a look. You can also scroll down for a brief press release from Honda.
