***NAMED AUTOBYTEL.COM 2007 BEST CAR FOR TEENAGE DRIVERS***
***AN EDMUNDS EDITOR'S MOST WANTED VEHICLE FOR 2007***

This vehicle has been well maintained, with regular oil-changes every 7500 miles. It is very clean inside/outside and under the hood. Mechanically it is very sound with absolutely no problems at all. The same can be said for the interior of the vehicle, as far as rips, tears, or stains go. I am a non-smoker, so there isn't any tobacco smells to have to put up with. On the outside of the vechicle there are some normal (for a 2007 year model) small nicks, dings and scratches (see photos). On the roof of the vechicle I have had some problems with paint fade/chipping (see photos). Not sure what has caused this situation, but it is the only area that this is occurring in. I have fully disclosed everything I know to be true about this 2007 Honda Civic LX Coupe, good and bad. It has a clear title and a clean CARFAX. It runs terrifically, is very fun to drive, and gets awesome gas mileage. I just love not having to go to the gas pumps every week.

The reason I am selling it is because two vehicles are no longer necessary.

Will states start to prevent you from registering cars that have pending recalls?

Sat, Nov 22 2014

The impact of 2014 – henceforth known as Year of the Recalls – will have long-ranging consequences on the auto industry. One of the biggest changes, though, might not be in the way manufacturers inform the government of pending recalls or in the way Uncle Sam punishes automakers that violate its rules, but in the ability to sell cars with pending recalls. And strangely enough, the charge is being led by an automaker. Honda Executive Vice President Rick Schostek, pictured above, argued during a meeting of the Senate Transportation Committee that the government needs to take a role in mandating that consumers have recall services performed. That could include withholding registration for vehicles with pending recalls, Bloomberg reports. Honda is just one of the automakers currently embroiled in the massive Takata airbag recall. "It's a good idea," safety advocate Clarence Ditlow said, according to Bloomberg. "California won't give you a registration if you have an emissions recall. Why not a safety recall?" "Honda is going to use any innovative tools to find customers and get these recalls done," Schostek told the Transportation Committee. The exec, aside from echoing Ditlow's viewpoint, also argued for requiring dealerships and garages to inform vehicle owners of incomplete recalls, regardless of the service provided. Schostek also made an argument that state governments could step in, as well. Whatever ends up happening, it's fair to say that between Takata and General Motors, the future of recalls for American consumers are set for significant changes. Affordable, lightweight Honda roadster revival in the works?

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

There's a joke phrase from a popular movie that gets tossed around the Autoblog offices when ever a big change or announcement is coming: "Hold on to your butts." It's usually accompanied by a video of Samuel L. Jackson. That's the advice we'd recommend for reading this article. GTChannel is reporting that a new, small, lightweight, quick successor to the Honda S2000 is being "seriously considered."
Citing an unnamed source within the Japanese automaker, GTChannel goes on to list a few interesting tidbits about the new vehicle. From the sounds of it, though, if Honda is planning a new roadster, it's in the absolute earliest stages of development.
What's apparently being discussed is a car that's smaller than a Mazda MX-5, in terms of its dimensions. Under hood would be a VTEC engine, displacing anywhere from 1.3 to 1.5 liters, with GT Channel making the apt suggestion that the 1.5-liter, 132-horsepower mill from the Honda Fit could make its way into the new roadster. Curb weight would be in the realm of 2,000 pounds, which would make a 130-odd-hp engine seem absolutely heroic. Rear-wheel drive would be a given, although we aren't sure about the site's suggestion that a five-speed manual will be on offer. Styling could draw from the N-One, a popular, Honda-badged kei car.
