Wards names its 2015 10 Best Interiors list

Wards Automotive has named the winners of its 10 Best Interior awards, covering a wide but affordable array of vehicles. Where last year's list contained two six-figure vehicles, including the $372,800 Rolls-Royce Wraith, this year's is, well, a whole lot more reasonable. The publication lists the Mercedes-Benz C400 at $65,000 (which seems off), making it the most expensive vehicle here. That said, we'd argue that the entire C-Class line deserves to make this year's list, owing to its varied and high-quality selection of materials. The other vehicle to break the $60,000 mark, meanwhile, is the $60,675 Ford F-150 King Ranch, which has 327,000 pounds of leather lining its interior. Only one other German car, the BMW i3, and one other pickup truck, the GMC Canyon, managed to make this year's list. Not only is there a distinct lack of luxury brands, it's the price of some of the vehicles that surprise. The Honda Fit, Jeep Renegade and Mazda6 are very reasonably priced, especially when you compare Wards price with the starting price. Glickenhaus's SCG 003 to pack twin-turbo Honda V6?

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has made (or commissioned) two vehicles to date - the P4/5 and the P4/5 Competizione - and is now hard at work on its third. The first was based on the Ferrari Enzo and the second on a Ferrari F430, but the third is being developed independently from the ground up. The question, then, is what engine will it use?
Well now we may have our answer as Jalopnik reports that the SCG 003 (as it's known at the moment) will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 sourced from Honda, fitted with twin turbochargers and producing in excess of 500 horsepower.
Honda's J35Y engine produces 278 horsepower in the Accord, 290 hp in the Acura MDX and 310 hp in the RLX. It also forms the basis for the HR35TT racing engine which Honda Performance Development puts in its Daytona Prototype, so if the rumors turn out to be true, chances are that's probably the engine in question - with the possible addition of a hybrid electric assist - but we'll have to sit tight to find out for sure.

Woman keys parking officer's car after receiving ticket

Police in Santa Ana, CA, are on the lookout for a local woman who vandalized a parking attendant's vehicle after being issued a parking ticket earlier this month. According to the Orange County Register, a Santa Ana Parking Department enforcement officer ticketed a 1988 Honda Accord for an expired meter just after 2:30pm on February 2. The suspect sat on the hood of the Honda while the officer issued the ticket. Apparently unhappy with the ticket, the woman tore it up on the spot. Then, using her car keys, she proceeded to carve a vulgar message into the hood of the parking enforcement vehicle parked next to her. When the parking officer returned to her vehicle, the unidentified suspect tapped on the enforcement vehicle's windshield, pointed at the damage to the hood, then fled in the Honda. The alleged vandal has not been identified by the Santa Ana Police Department yet since the Honda was recently sold in a lien sale and has not been registered by its new owner. The suspect, shown in surveillance footage from a local business, is described as a white female between 20 and 30 years old, just over five feet tall with a slim build and dark hair. Corporal Anthony Bertanga of the SAPD stated that the woman faces a misdemeanor charge and will probably need to reimburse the city for the cost of repairs to the parking enforcement vehicle. "Right now, it's on the taxpayers to fix the vehicle," said Cpl. Bertanga. The Police are asking Santa Ana residents to contact them with any information on the alleged vandal.
