Up for Auction is my 2000 Honda Civic Si with the 1.6 litre DOHC VTEC engine. It has aprox 120,XXX miles. I purchased the car last year with 99,XXX miles. Car performs great and has made a great daily driver for me. I averaged aprox 32 mpg. I would feel 100% confident to drive this car anywhere at any time. I have replace the radiator and rear brake pads within the last 5000 miles. the front tires have about 60% tread left and the rear have over 75% tread left. the front left fender has been painted, and honestly, it wasn't done great. the body does have scratches from normal use over the past 13 years. no major dents. I replaced the front and rear seats with Honda Civic Ex seats that were almost new. I do still have the original Si seats and will include them. I have upgraded the Cd player to a Pioneer model that allows you to play and control your ipod and has bluetooth hands free for your Cellular phone. I will include the original Cd player also. I have also changed the shift knob and boot but will also include the original.
Under the CarFax, it says it has underbody damage but I assure you that it does not. the front left fender was damaged and replaced prior to me owning the car. I have had the Vehicle looked over at a authorized Honda service department and he assured me that there are no issus.

Honda's first production jet takes off from North Carolina
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Plenty of automakers have backgrounds in aircraft manufacturing. BMW, Bristol, Mitsubishi, Saab and Spyker all started out in the airplane business. But Honda is going the opposite direction, expanding its automotive (not to mention motorcycle, ATV, marine engine and power equipment) business with the launch of the HondaJet. And that project has just taken a big step forward.
After starting production a year and a half ago, the Japanese industrial giant recently completed its first customer HondaJet, and has now taken that initial production aircraft to the skies for its landmark first flight. The aircraft left the production facility in Greensboro and took off on Friday morning from Piedmont Triad International Airport in North Carolina - the same state where the Wright Brothers undertook their first flight over a century ago.
The HondaJet undertook an 84-minute test flight, climbing to 15,500 feet and reaching a speed of 348 knots. That works out to 400 miles per hour - assuredly faster than any Honda (save for maybe a prototype for the same aircraft) has traveled before. The aircraft is designed to cruise at a maximum of 420 knots (483 mph) and reach a maximum altitude of 43,000 feet.

Sat, 05 Oct 2013The Honda NSX Concept-GT is one sexy machine, and it looks to be a very effective tool on a race circuit. But Honda's latest web spot leads us to believe that it also can be used to make tea.
In the video, the racecar is hooked up to an apparatus that uses tubing to harness the energy from the car's 500-horsepower hybrid drive system, using it to boil water. The novel tea-making technique reminds us a bit of a couple other inventive Honda commercials, namely Hands and Cog.

Honda may recall up to 1M vehicles for airbag issue, following Toyota's lead
Mon, 16 Jun 2014It seems Toyota won't be the only one recalling the faulty Takata airbag inflators for long. Honda insiders in Japan claim that the company is getting close to announcing its own worldwide campaign that would begin before the end of June.
Unnamed sources close to Honda in Japan tell Automotive News that the company is pursuing an internal investigation into possibly affected models and is working with Takata to gather more information. They claim that it could involve even more than the 1.14 million cars worldwide that the automaker covered under the first recall for the problem in April 2013, including 561,000 vehicles in the US.
Toyota jumpstarted this process last week when it recalled over 2 million cars worldwide, including 844,277 in the US. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began a preliminary evaluation into the issue following six reported incidents, and started assembling data about potentially affected models from Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Chrysler. NHTSA also began investigating Takata itself.
