ACTUAL PHOTOS WILL BE ON TOMORROW, IT IS THUNDERSTORMING AND AWFUL HERE IN ST. LOUIS RIGHT NOW, WANTED TO GET LISTING ON. THE CAR IS AS ADVERTISED THOUGH, IT LOOKS LIKE OUT OF AN ADVERTISEMENT! IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE STOCK PHOTO I AM INCLUDING. THE PHOTO OF THE WINDOW STICKER IS THE ACTUAL ONE FROM THIS CAR.

I am the 3rd owner of this car, It was originally owned by a Honda of North America employee (a design engineer who helped design them) who sold it to his brother, and then he to me. We all took extremely good care of the car. Some notes about it:

-it has never been in any kind of wreck other than a minor scraping of the front bumper which was repainted (no insurance claim or anything like that.) No serious body or frame work of any kind has ever been done to it.
-it has been garaged since new. The paint is in amazing shape with ZERO rust anywhere.
-it has never been smoked in
-it is 100% stock / has no aftermarket type parts on it
-it has newer tires on it, with at least 50% tread left on them
-it needs zero maintenance at this time, timing belt was changed at 100K, and it has new shocks / struts all the way around the car. It drives practically as tight and rattle free as it did new

This car is rated at 26 city / 31 highway MPG but I have observed it getting better than 30 no matter city / highway. This car was built well and will probably run just fine past 300K miles and beyond. The engine runs perfect - battery strong and fires right up. It drives perfect, no shakes / rattles / pull etc. There are absolutely no interior or exterior defects to speak of other than VERY minor scratches and scuffs too small to even photograph, typical of cars just a year or 2 old. I would say this car has to be in the top 5-10% conservatively available anywhere of this year and model.

Private party retail on this car is $4,148.00 according to KBB.com, a number I believe is lower than it should be. I will not sell it for a penny less than $4,000. Please do not waste my time or yours with offers below this. In reality, this car is worth more than that as it is in that good of shape and will save you tons over a comparable value car in maintenance, etc over the years to come. I would sell this car to a relative or a friend and feel very good about it.

2019 Subaru Forester vs compact SUV rivals: How they compare on paper

Mon, Aug 20 2018

We've seen what the 2019 Subaru Forester looks like (pretty much the same). We've found out how much it's going to cost (just a bit more). And also how much bigger and more powerful it'll be (appreciably on both counts). Now it's time to see how all of that compares to its top compact SUV rivals. While you can see the same engine and dimension specs for every compact SUV here, for this comparison featuring the latest 2019 Forester info, we've decided to define "top rivals" as those that the 2018 model was most frequently cross-shopped with. That means the 2018 Honda CR-V, 2018 Toyota RAV4, 2018 Mazda CX-5 and 2018 Nissan Rogue. At the time of this writing, none of their respective manufacturers had released data for 2019 models. We also included info for the 2018 Forester as well. So, without further blather, cue the Spreadsheet-o-Matic 3000. How big are they? The 2019 Forester may look nearly identical to the compact crossover it replaces, but it's nevertheless bigger and heavier. In particular, its wheelbase has increased from being the smallest in the segment to one that's pretty much average. It's a good bet that this gain is the reason rear seat legroom has also increased. Width is also up, but the Forester actually remains the narrowest compact SUV. As for other noteworthy dimensions, the new Forester now has the most maximum cargo capacity of any compact SUV with 76.1 cubic feet. Now, it should be noted, that's without the panoramic sunroof that comes on all but the base model. With it, max capacity shrinks to 70.9 cu-ft. Two points about that. First, Subaru is the only company that calls out this difference, and all the others almost certainly are not measuring with a sunroof. Second, this gives you an idea about how much of "maximum cargo capacity" includes space up high where you're probably not storing much cargo. As such, we included the Forester's biggest number and think it fairly indicates Subaru should carry the "biggest in segment" crown. How do their engines and fuel economy compare? Here's the most important takeaway here: The new Forester is tied for the best fuel economy in the segment, but that's with standard all-wheel drive. Everything else listed above is with front-wheel drive. The 2019 model also gets a welcome injection of power, resulting in the fourth-most base horsepower in the segment (or fifth, if you consider the CR-V technically holds spots 1 and 3).

Honda Clarity Series brings EV, PHEV to hydrogen fuel cell model

Thu, Apr 21 2016

Honda has finally fessed up. Just as we suspected, the company's upcoming hydrogen-powered Clarity Fuel Cell vehicle will not be the only powertrain variant. Honda confirmed today that all-electric and plug-in hybrid versions of the Clarity will be joining the hydrogen car in 2017. The Clarity Fuel Cell will be available in the US in late 2016. The three vehicles are collectively called the Clarity Series. Collectively called the Clarity Series, the three vehicles will share the same platform and target different markets. As we know, the hydrogen model will only be sold in areas where refueling is possible, and that means California and, at some point, the Northeastern US. Honda said the electric version will first be available in the EV-friendly state of California and the company will explore the business case from there. The PHEV will be sold in all 50 states. No range estimate was given for the EV (yet), but the PHEV will have at least 40 miles of all-electric range. Honda will need this kind of powertrain diversification if it hopes to reach its stated goal of having two-thirds of its vehicles be plug-in or hydrogen by 2030. Of course, the next step is different models (a CUV or a truck) that have all three alt-powertrains, but we'll take what we can get for now. The addition of two new Clarity vehicles, based on the same platform underpinning the new Clarity Fuel Cell, makes Clarity the first vehicle in the industry to offer fuel cell, electric and plug-in hybrid technology on one model platform, offering Honda customers an expanded array of electrified vehicle choices to suit their individual tastes and driving needs. Following the U.S.

Honda gives itself room to delay FCV hydrogen car until June 2017

Tue, Mar 3 2015

In a new press release issued to discuss vehicles on display at the Geneva Motor Show, Honda said something a bit curious about its upcoming hydrogen car. The release reads: "The FCV Concept previews an all-new fuel cell road car that is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in the first half of 2016, and subsequently in the USA and Europe within the following 12 months." The last official word was that Honda said the car would arrive in Japan in March 2016, with US and European roll-out some time after that. The new announcement gives the company some wiggle room to adjust that timeline, since 12 months after the first half of 2016 could, theoretically, be at late as June 30, 2017. So, we asked Honda North America's senior environment and safety specialist Angie Nucci if this means that the FCV will be delayed at all. She said she doesn't have additional details for the next-gen FCV availability, "other than March 2016 in Japan and then the US and Europe after. It's the same timing that we discussed in LA." In other words, we might be reading too much into this. But it's worth noting in case the timeline does slip (again).
