1999 99 Honda Civic Ex Coupe Jdm Type R on 2040-cars
York, Pennsylvania, United States
1999 HONDA CIVIC EX 2 DOOR COUPE 1.6L VTEC AUTOMATIC 168,xxx MILES RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD Power windows; locks; steering; brakes; moonroof; and air conditioning. Everything works, but passenger side window is slow moving. Four good, all matching tires. Passenger side rear wheel bearing replaced recently. Rear brakes; drums and shoes, replaced recently. Front brakes; Rotors and pads, replaced one year ago. Transmission replaced at 155,xxx miles. This is a USED transmission that I installed. Replaced headliner with new material. Engine has new distributor cap & rotor, spark plug wires and spark plugs. New JL Audio 6x9 rear speakers. New Auto Custom Carpets red Civic Type-R style replacement carpet. Original OEM factory CD radio Rear turn signal bulbs converted to Red bulbs LED License plate bulbs Equipped with “ebay JDM style:” N1 Style exhaust with test pipe (no cat) and silencer Civic Type-R style black housing headlights with ZXE HID style bulbs Civic Type-R style grille (also have original grille) Civic Type-R style red front seats with seat brackets (faux suede) JDM style fog lights (yellow lens) – NOT INSTALLED ******** THE BAD STUFF ******** While this car has no rust issues, it does have it’s share of dents and scratches. The car was originally black, but the previous owner had the car painted grey. The paint job needs to be redone as it is fading and peeling. The PA State Inspection and Emission have been done and are good through 10/14. There is an issue with the rear bumper cover. Someone hit the bumper and caused the bumper cover to crack. I had to cut off one section as there was no way to reattach it to the car. So, the rear bumper cover will need to be replaced. The previous owner also smoked in this car. I have removed all trim and cleaned everything. There are little, if any, smoke smell left inside. Also, the sun visors will need to be replaced. I have the original sun visor, but they are in rough shape. Overall, this has been a good car and reliable. I have driven this car +12,000 miles, mostly highway, and have had no issues. It would be a decent first car for a young driver or a good second car. This car needs nothing to drive today. If you have any questions, or would like to see this car, please contact me. This is not a show car, so please ask questions before bidding. Please note: There are no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied. This car is sold “as is.” This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. EXTRAS: 1. New OEM Honda front bumper cover 2. New Aftermarket Left & Right fenders 3. Honda Clarity is your new fuel cell future vehicle [w/video]
Wed, Oct 28 2015We know it will go on sale in the US next spring. We know it will have an estimated range of over 300 miles. We know it will start sales in California, since that's where the hydrogen stations are. But perhaps the one key details about Honda's new fuel cell vehicle that we are learning today is the name. It will be the Honda Clarity Fuel Cell. That should ring a few H2 bells for hydrogen vehicle fans out there, since the fuel cell vehicle that Honda has been leasing since 2008 was called the FCX Clarity (and the hydrogen test vehicle before that was the FCX). Naming the new vehicle - known until now as the FCEV - the new Clarity draws a clear line through to Honda's hydrogen history. This is a completely different message than the one that Toyota is sending with the name for its upcoming hydrogen car, the Mirai. In Japanese, Mirai means future. It is also interesting to note that Honda is not going to target regular consumers with the Clarity during the first year, at least in Japan. Honda says that it will work "mainly" with local governments and business customers that have shown an interest in hydrogen technology and will begin sales to individual customers "later." The five-seat Clarity Fuel Cell will come in three colors: Premium Brilliant Garnet Metallic, White Orchid Pearl, and Crystal Black Pearl. Honda says that the price, in Japan, will be 7.6 million yen, including consumption tax. That equals $63,610 in the US, but we all know these prices cannot simply be converted like this to arrive at the US MSRP. Still, now we have a guideline. At this time, Honda does not plan to sell the vehicle, since, the Clarity will be "currently available exclusively for lease sales." We got to take a brief drive in the FCEV this past week, and you can read more about the technological advances in the new Clarity (the smaller fuel cell stack, the powertrain packaging, etc.) here. The fact that Honda consistently calls the new car the Clarity Fuel Cell (as opposed to simply the Clarity) gives us reason to think that the upcoming PHEV and all-electric models will not only share a chassis, but also perhaps a name. Clarity EV, anyone? Honda Exhibits World Premiere of CLARITY FUEL CELL, Planned Production Model of its All-new Fuel Cell Vehicle, at 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015 -- Lease sales in Japan will begin in March 2016 -- TOKYO, Japan, October 28, 2015 - Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

Honda tags Civic, Accord, HR-V, Fit and more in fuel pump recall
Mon, Jun 8 2020American Honda Motor Company's recent issues with fuel pumps continue, as a new recall affects a large number of Honda and Acura vehicles from the 2018-2020 model years. The recall covers a total of 136,057 vehicles, including select 2018-2019 Acura NSX, 2019 Acura RDX, RLX, and RLX Sport Hybrid models, as well as 2018-2019 Honda Accords, Civic Hatchbacks, Civic Type Rs, HR-Vs, 2019-2020 Insights, and 2019 Fits. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration campaign No. 20V314000, published May 28, 2020, states that the low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tanks of the aforementioned vehicles could falter or completely fail. Should the low-pressure fuel pump fail, the car could stall, regardless of its state of motion. Recall documents reveal fuel pump might fail due to swelling of the fuel pump motor impeller, which would cause the pump to seize. This issue is the result of a problem with how the parts were manufactured. These "lower density impellers" were "exposed to production solvent drying for longer periods of time." This caused some impellers to have surface cracking, which resulted in "excessive fuel absorption," which warps the impellers. Here's a breakdown of how many vehicles of each type were potentially affected: 2018-2019 Acura NSX: 146 2019 Acura RDX: 34,405 2019 RLX: 124 2019 RLX Sport Hybrid: 206 2018-2019 Honda Accord: 11,227 2018-2019 Civic Hatchback: 24,235 2018-2019 Civic Type R: 1,785 2018-2019 HR-V: 39,676 2019-2020 Insight: 14,959 2019 Fit: 9,294 Honda will notify owners to schedule an appointment with local dealerships. The fuel pump assembly on all affected vehicles will be replaced for free. For more information, visit NHTSA. Related Video:
