Great condition 1993 Honda Civic DX 4 door sedan with 155,000 miles
I love this car! This vehicle is bullet proof and was my commuter car since September and it was very reliable. Even better, I am obsessed with gas milage and this car cruises at 36 miles per gallon! I spend $30 in gas and the car gets me to work all week and weekend stuff before needing to be filled up. I never had to make any repairs.
These cars have been the best selling car in the United States for 25 years because they have a reputation for going 300,000+ miles. Low maintenance, awesome reliability, best resale value on the market. If this car is properly taken care of it can resale for 90% easy.
There are no aftermarket mechanical parts on this vehicle. No intake, no fancy lights, no loud muffler. This is one of the few Honda Civics you'll find that isn't "suped up." This means that this car wasn't driven like a race car so the motor and transmission will last longer.
Additional specs:
- Motor and automatic transmission run very well
- Car starts perfectly
- Interior is in immaculate condition with typical wear and tear
- Exterior has typical wear and tear but no dents, minimal scratches and dings
- New Tires
- New spark plugs
- New spark plug wires
- New air filter
- New fuel filter
- New battery
- Rotors were recently replaced
- All headlights, turn signals, break lights, high beams, interior lights, dash lights functional
- Sony CD player with Mp3 capability (Auxiliary cord included)
- Upgraded speakers
- Upgraded rims and tires
- Front and rear strut bars for added strength to frame
- Passed inspection until September 2014
- Power steering
- Driver side airbag
- Spare tire, car jack, tow hitch, tire iron included
- No flooding
- No cracks in windshield or any other glass
- No exhaust leaks
- No check engine light
- 2 keys
- Maintenance records kept
The AC needs to be charged and the instrument panel light (light behind the speedometer) is temperamental, likely a fuse but I never bothered to replace it. I babied this car and it seems the previous owners did the same. Don't forget about the gas milage, this car is great on gas! Again, I averaged 36 miles per gallon in this car at a 70/30 highway/city ratio! I wish I could keep it but I'm moving to Manhattan and won't be needing a car any longer. I'm excited to see who will drive this car to 300,000 miles! Happy bidding!

Honda to reveal new Civic Coupe in LA
Wed, Nov 11 2015Honda will reveal 2016 Civic Coupe next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The company isn't saying much, but promises the two-door will "showcase even sportier lines" than the sedan that launches this week. The coupe will also feature the same engines as the four-door model, which is powered by either a 2.0-liter inline-four or a 1.5-liter turbo. These will just be the tip of the iceberg in what Honda promises will be "the most diverse and innovative lineup in Civic's 43-year history." Additional variants to follow, including a five-door hatchback, a warmed-up Si model, and a smokin' hot Type R version that will be the first of its kind to be offered in the US. The first sedans will begin arriving at dealers this month, with the coupes to follow in the new year. For now, the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe will be showcased alongside the new Clarity FCV that debuted in Tokyo last month and will be marking its North American debut in LA. Honda CR-V vs. Subaru Forester Cupholder Test | King of cups
Fri, May 15 2020When I got our long-term Subaru Forester back from the shop to fix a mysterious source of moisture, I also happened to have a Honda CR-V Hybrid taking up temporary residence in my driveway. After testing out my large son's car seat in each to these two right-sized vehicles, I moved on to the examine their capacity for the second-most-precious cargo they could carry: beverages. I counted eight cupholders in each of these cars, which amounts to two per outboard passenger. Two front cupholders on the center console, one in each front door, one in each rear door, and two in the center armrest that folds down in each rear row. That's not Subaru Ascent levels of beverage storage (19 cupholders!), but it should be plenty to keep a family hydrated on a short-to-medium drive. Though these two appear to be equal in quantity, let's take a closer look and see if they're equal in quality, too. I brought along a Klean Kanteen bottle that's about the same size as most other brand of metal water bottles folks carry around, a big Corkcicle 24-ounce insulated tumbler, a standard 12-ounce soda can, and a skinny, 7.5-ounce soda can that's the same width as a lot of canned energy drinks. As a bonus, I — the man known to Twitter as "that one dude with the Nalgene bottle" — brought my trusty 32-ounce Nalgene to see if it fits anywhere. Let's start with the spots we use the most. I like the placement of the CR-V's front cupholders for their easy reach, but beverages block the wireless charging pad (only available on the Touring trim and as Riswick discovered, it has issues). In the Forester they're further back, out of the way of the center stack, but a somewhat awkward angle for retrieval. Now let's fill 'em up, starting with the Honda. As expected, there's plenty of room for the cans, but perhaps too much room. They both wobble around quite a bit in there. The bottle and cup fit much more securely, but the water bottle rattles around a bit in there. The Corkcicle cup is going nowhere. In the Forester, the little rubber doodads inside the cupholder do a much better job of holding even the smaller can in place. A perfect fit! As for the reusables, the Corkcicle cup is snug, while the bottle has a little bit of wiggle room, though not quite as much as in the CR-V. OK, let's try the front door pockets. In the CR-V, the cans are a bit loose, but the purple Klean Kanteen fits as though the pocket were designed for it. The mighty Corkcicle is too big to fit securely.
Honda Super Cub first vehicle to receive 3D trademark in Japan
Tue, 03 Jun 2014The term "iconic" gets thrown around a lot, but if there was ever a design worthy of the honorific, surely it's the Honda Super Cub. That's not just our opinion, though: it's the official word from the Japanese Patent Office, which has recognized the classic scooter's shape with a three-dimensional trademark.
The category was introduced in Japan back in 1997 to immortalize distinctive designs, and is subject to very strict criteria. In fact, this marks the first time it has been applied to a vehicle - and one of the few industrial products to be awarded the recognition.
Little wonder it was applied to this little wonder, too. With over 87 million units made since its introduction in 1958, Honda claims the Super Cub to be "the world's largest selling vehicle," with production taking place at 15 factories in 14 countries and sales in 160 markets around the world.
