Good day and my sincerest thanks for looking at my CRX!

The CRX Si for sale is a very clean example, the cleanest I've ever seen.  64,XXX original miles, original engine, parts, interior, seats, panels, sunroof, etc. The color is Milano Red.  High quality job that I had a hard time distinguishing from an original paint job when I purchased it, but after some close inspection and finding some evidence of some overspray, the finding was that it had indeed been repainted.

STILL one of the cleanest CRX's on the market.  As my co-worker put it, "It looks like someone just put it in storage for 20 years and you just pulled it out yesteday."  It looks that good.  OEM mint exhaust with NO RUST on the tips like most.  Crispy seats with zero tears.  Buttons and AC panel sparkle without a single scratch or imperfection.  The plastic window that guards the speedometer is shiny, scratch free and of course original.  Rear cargo area 100% complete with completely functional locking storage compartment, all clips and covers present, clean and functional too.  Original VIN sticker as well as the OEM color code stickers for both the interior and exterior are located correctly on their respective door jams.  The doors and interior door panels are free from ANY imperfection, in fact the fuzzy part where it says "CRX" looks brand new.  This car has been meticulously well kept. The engine bay sparkles, email me for the link to the pics of it.  Professional tint all around.  Fully functional sunroof, lights, seatbelt lights, startup beeps, glovebox.  This car is a genuine time capsule, perfect for a meticulous person like myself to continue to treasure.

The history of this CRX to the furthest of my knowledge:

-was purchased in Washington, DC new in December of 1991
-was relocated with the owner to Southern Nevada in the early 00s
-stayed there until a sale to an enthusiast in Florida in 2012/13, by which point the car had been repainted
-at this point it appeared on "Bring a Trailer" (I cant provide a link due to ebays new policies, just google it)
-then traded in to Morrison Motor Co in North Carolina
-then purchased by an enthusiast from this company in July 2013 who relocated it to Los Angeles
-then purchased by myself in August of 2013

Included with the car is the original manual, radio card, warranty information, and sales book.  One original key and one copy is included.

CLEAN TITLE ON HAND.  The previous short-term owners never transferred the title in their own names.  Therefore it's going to cost me $630 according to my appointment at the CA DMV to title the car in my name.  I have yet to do this because I've been out of work recently and won't be able to afford to title this until the sale of this car.  Therefore, at the time of purchase, I will present the original title along with all the other necessary paperwork and provide copies of them as well, but I will need the originals to complete the titling process.  We will complete the Bill of Sale in compliance of law and once our transaction is complete I will use $630 from the sale and complete the titling process.  According to the lady from the DMV I spoke with, it will take about 1 month from that point to receive the title in my name at which point I will sign over and send to you.  I have copies of all the invoices and applications verified on 7/9/2014 by the CA DMV and will email them to you upon your request.  This obstacle is also the reason for the most recent and final price drop. It has all been verified however by the dmv as completely doable.

Drives like it came off the production floor yesterday.  The car's mechanical workings are flawless.  Drives straight as an arrow. Shifts smoothly (you can shift with one finger easily), idles perfectly and soundly.  Starts perfectly everytime without hesitation, though theres a loose part somewhere in the engine bay that causes a rattle only when the car first starts.  Purely cosmetic and I'm working on trying to silence it.  Another funny little squeak comes from one of the passenger side wheels, I believe it's a ball bearing needing replacement? Sunroof, all lights, features, speakers, dials, manual controls like the windows work perfectly.  Windshield wipers work perfectly along with every other feature. AC blows ice cold.  My friend commented yesterday how cold it was.

There isnt a single dent or ding anywhere on the cars body.  Highest quality body you will find on the market.  The blacks of the moldings are very well cared for and have been treated with anti-aging products.

Has the car been in an accident?

The fact that the car has been repainted, the radiator may/may not have been replaced and that the front bumper is missing the OEM "made in Japan" sticker, the signs indicate that the car was involved with some sort of front-end fender bender.  It is unknown to me how severe a collision was, but it was clearly repaired with much care, OEM materials and has no residual performance effect.  Other than this, the passenger side front quarter panel is slightly mis-shapen where it meets the passenger door (so slight it's impossible to capture in pics) that leads me to believe that a ding or small dent was corrected.  But repeat, it's so slight, youd have to look at if for hours before you'd notice it.

If the car doesn't sell for a price I'd like, I'd have no problem keeping it.

The front headlight bulbs and rear tails lights have been replaced with sylvannia white bulbs.  The interior lights have been replaced with white LEDs.  The sounds system has been upgraded to an Alpine one in all four speakers and the Alpine interface producing high quality sound.  When it was installed by the previous owner he took great care to not drill any holes or alter the set up of the original wiring. Includes Sirius XM. Also compatible with Pandora, USB, AUX, HD radio and Bluetooth.  Stock radio included.

The interior is unbelievably mint.  Grains on all the plastic is like new.  No wear on any buttons, the original white paint on all the buttons is unworn and beautiful.  Original shift knob, seats, everything.  Smells like new.  No floor mats, however, are included.

Falken tires with only about 7k miles of use on them.

The clean title is on hand.  Please keep in mind that it is a Nevada title, not a California title as it has yet to be registered under any owner's name since its Nevada owner in early 2013.

I realize that there are a lot of CRX enthusiasts out there that are eager to discuss the specifics and correct any statements made and I completely understand that.  What I won't understand or tolerate is being attacked or insulted with your messages/calls which has indeed been my experience over the past few weeks.  It is not my intention to mislead or misinform to anyone.  I want the buyer of this CRX to make an informed decision and to be 100% happy with their new car.  This doesn't give any prospective buyer any cause to insult me.

Payment due 3 days of BIN use.  SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY PLEASE.  The dude who used the BIN feature just used it and never paid, emailed, nothing. Please don't put me through that again.

I will cooperate fully with the shipping company if you use one, otherwise the shipping is your responsibility.

Please email me for a link to 60+ pics of this gem

Honda teases racing motorcycle-powered concept for Frankfurt

Wed, Aug 26 2015

With upcoming models like the next-gen Civic and NSX, Honda is working to return to its performance glory days. We'll see one more manifestation of that desire at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show with the Project 2&4 concept. The single teaser image leaves the styling to anyone's guess, but the vehicle is powered by the potent 1.0-liter V4 from the RC213V MotoGP race bike. Stuffing the high-strung motorcycle engine into the car should at least make a great noise. Unfortunately, Honda is keeping the details very scant in the teaser. The Project 2&4 has no cabin and is meant to combine "the freedom of a motorcycle and the maneuverability of a car." That suggests a low-slung, minimalist body with an emphasis on handling, and the image appears to show open wheels at the front and rear. The company also doesn't say whether it has the race bike's full competition engine with over 235 horsepower or the new street version with 157 hp to over 212 hp, depending on the spec. The Project 2&4's shape is the result of a global competition among the brand's studios. The winning design is the result of cooperation from the motorcycle stylists in Asaka, Japan, and the automotive team in Wako, Japan. We're curious to see what it actually looks like in Frankfurt. Honda recalling 748k Odyssey and Pilot models over airbag concern

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

American Honda today announced a recall of approximately 748,000 Odyssey and Pilot models due to faulty airbag concerns. The vehicles in question are Odyssey minivans from the 2011 to 2013 model years and Pilot crossovers from the 2009 to 2013 model years.
According to a statement from Honda, driver's side airbags in the affected vehicles were potentially assembled without some of the rivets that secure the bag's plastic cover. Because of this, the airbag may not deploy properly in the event of a crash, leading to further occupant injury. As of this writing, no injuries have been reported in conjunction with this issue.
Honda will begin officially notifying owners via mail in mid-February. The automaker urges customers to take their vehicles to an authorized dealership, where vehicles will be inspected and, if necessary, repaired. In lieu of waiting for the snail mail approach, owners may also visit www.recalls.honda.com or can contact the automaker directly at 1.800.999.1009 and select option four.

2017 Honda Ridgeline: Not a 'youth truck'

Tue, Feb 9 2016

When the Ridgeline debuted back in 2006 I predicted it would be a game changer, that it would shake up and redefine the truck market, much like Honda's CB750 four-cylinder motorcycle redefined the big bike market back in 1969. Boy was I wrong. Or perhaps more accurately stated – hang on, because I still think it could happen with this new model. Maybe not to the same degree of the CB750, but I definitely think this gen-two model has the right stuff to make truck buyers give it a second look this time around. Also, the truck market has changed over the last decade. People have had a chance to see the Ridgeline in action, and many have come to the conclusion that, used as intended, it's really not so bad. ...And then look what's happened to the commercial van market: Euro-style vans – which are dramatically different from Detroit-style vans – have virtually taken over that market segment. Typically conservative truck buyers have shown that they are willing to accept new thinking – if they prove to be better mousetraps. In the last 10 years, Honda – and specifically Honda marketing – has learned a lot about what worked and what didn't work with the gen-one model. Yeah, it barely sold, but those who bought the truck absolutely loved it. So Honda was indeed on to something. The problem was not enough people knew about it. I blame Honda corporate and their marketing department squarely for that. After the initial customer reluctance, Honda gave up on it. There was virtually no money spent on advertising this truck. It literally died on the vine because it wasn't watered. Also, there were a number of factors going on here not specifically related to the Ridgeline. Honda, the corporation, was in a severe crisis. Sales were sliding, many of its products disappointed, and the styling of many of its vehicles was polarizing. Also, the Acura division was in a free-fall. In short, Honda had lost its mojo; and as such, money and efforts were re-diverted to righting the ship, and marginal models (Ridgeline) were abandoned in terms of promotion; or just abandoned, period. So here we are now in 2016. Honda has been in the process of exorcizing all the evil from it's products, and is again showing signs of life. They have a slew of new vehicles that look good and are getting good if not excellent reviews, and a new Ridgeline is soon to hit showrooms. The Honda mojo is back. This time around there is no attempt to hide its parentage.
