1990 Honda Civic Crx Automatic with Air.
This is Nice running, true low milage 85,032 original miles car. this is a base model with AC . The Ac unit is all there . It was charged , worked then stopped working. I believe it has a leak either an o ring or line. the Interior is very nice. the driver seat is a bit worn and has a seat cover on it. This car has not been hacked up with 99 % original parts. the radio is not the original but It is included with the car as I still have it's original Honda am/fm cassette radio. It also has the original book in the glove box with some other minor paper work too. The car runs and drives very good. transmission does not slip or leak. the engine runs very good. will need a oil change and plugs soon. (plugs not nesasary as it runs very well ) it has not been tuned up in 2 years. it has been off the road for a few months and not for any issues related to the car. it will need a new cv joint aprox $75 if you replace it your self . The cv joint is starting to click a bit and not all the time and worth mentioning. the car was garaged most of it's life. the paint is in ok condition but does need some attention. there is some light primered area on both quarter panels as shown . This is a 2 owner car. my friend purchased this in 2010 with 78,000 miles on iot from the original owner as I was told. I have original insurance cards dating back to 1991 from the original owners as recent as 2009 as well. the door jams are in incredible condition with absolutley not a sign of any type of peeling, rust or any nicks either. the carpet under the floor mat driver side is still in amazing condition with hardly any wear at all. this car is in my opnion a diamond in the ruff needing minimal items to put this back to incredible condition. all thou that being said. the car is a 1990 and will be sold as is with no warranty or garanty what so ever. this car also has new cylinders for the back hatch installed, a newer exhaust, a newer radio with cd player. 2 newer front tires. battery was replaced last year. I believe it would be hard to find another in the present condition this one is in. The car is road worthy. all lights ( brake lights too ) and signals work. no lights on the dash or interior. and every gaget works as it should. has it's original led digital clock too . all dash lights work. this has serious potential to be a very nice car without tons of work needed. this is a turn key car. don't miss out , you won't find these like this all the time. like I said lots of potential here. only reason for sale is I found a different car that suites my needs more than this one. Enjoy your day . Shipping is soley up to the winning bidder. I offer pick up of the vehicle only. Please view all pictures.

Honda asked for Takata inflator change without telling Feds
Fri, Mar 25 2016Honda and Takata could be in legal hot water after the automaker requested a design change to the supplier's airbag inflators in 2009 without notifying the government. According to internal documents obtained by Reuters, the updated parts had extra vents to reduce the force directed occupants if a rupture occurs. Automakers generally need to tell the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about any safety-related changes to their vehicles, but Honda argues to Reuters that the disclosure wasn't necessary in this case. The company wanted the changes to the parts to "protect against the possibility of future manufacturing errors – it was not an acknowledgement of a larger design flaw in the inflators," Honda spokesperson Chris Martin told Reuters. The revised components started going into some Honda models in 2011. However, a jury might not agree with Honda's position, and a lawyer could argue the company had a responsibility to report the alterations. There's already a pending class action lawsuit against automakers and Takata for violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, and there are many more from individuals. Among those is the case of a pregnant woman in Malaysia who died from a rupturing airbag. An investigation by the Independent Testing Coalition found three factors for the inflators'' rupturing. The use of ammonium nitrate is part of the problem, but the inflator's assembly doesn't keep moisture from reaching the chemical. If a vehicle is in a high humidity area, the danger is even worse. When they combine, these issues make the explosions more likely. Takata allegedly knew about the problem as far back as 2000 but hid the failures. Emails even reportedly showed workers joking about changing the data. Related Video:
A closer look at the motorcycle El Chapo used to escape prison
Wed, Jul 15 2015Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera, better known by his nickname, El Chapo, stands five-feet, five-inches tall. This defining trait – his nickname, not coincidentally, can be translated as "Shorty" in Spanish – is an important detail in his escape, as the tunnel that stretched a mile underground that led the drug kingpin to safety measures just one inch taller than Guzman's height. Clearly, this was a well-planned and executed escape. The tunnel that was custom-sized to perfectly fit El Chapo started at an abandoned building in the middle of an empty field and ended in a tight shaft that led to the shower stall in Guzman's jail cell. In between those start- and finish-points was an impressively dug-out hole in the Earth, complete with ventilation shafts, wiring for electricity and lights, and rails on the bottom to serve as tracks for a custom-built motorcycle that El Chapo apparently rode to freedom. There are specific traits that could be useful in figuring out what kind of motorcycle we're looking at. All of these facts are well-known to anyone who's been following the story of how the most notorious criminal in Mexico could escape from a maximum-security prison in broad daylight. Especially considering that this event marks the second time since 2001 that Guzman has arranged his own prison break. There's one detail, though, that has caught our attention. A close look at the images released by Mexican authorities shows us a motorcycle that's been heavily modified specifically to work underground. We can't be certain, based on the grainy shots and limited viewing angles of the pictures we have access to, but there are some specific traits that could be useful in figuring out what kind of motorcycle we're looking at. For starters, there's the engine. It's a single-cylinder, air-cooled powerplant, canted slightly forward. The exhaust exits on the right side of the bike, when looking from above, and there's a short chain guard on the opposite side. Granted, that doesn't narrow it down all that much. A look at the shape of the fins on the cylinder and the shape of the head, though, makes us think this may be one of Honda's ubiquitous CG-series of engines. A quick look at the bike's frame shows a single downtube, dual shocks and a steel-tube swingarm. That means it's probably not of particularly recent vintage, but we can't really pinpoint exactly what model it may be.
2016 Honda Civic Type R shows sometimes the grass really is greener [w/video]
Wed, Mar 4 2015The newly unveiled Honda Civic Type R at the Geneva Motor Show seems like a cruel trick being played on North American hot hatch fans. Even if the European model's oblong shape and massive wing don't make for the pinnacle of automotive beauty, it's hard to question the vehicle's performance capability, especially after the 7:50.63 lap around the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The heart of the Civic Type R is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder pumping out 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet with a six-speed manual. The combination is reportedly good for a sprint to 62 miles per hour in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 167 mph. Honda also fits the CTR with Brembo brakes and adaptive dampers, while a special suspension setup reportedly helps in the fight against torque steer. While the big wing catches the eye first, Honda adds to the aggressive look with a new rear diffuser, front splitter and deeper side skirts. Also, the vents behind the front wheels help air through the engine bay to keep things running cool. Inside, front occupants are hugged by sport seats with big bolsters to keep them in place. With the forthcoming NSX and return to Formula One, Honda appears on the very cusp of a performance renaissance, and the Civic Type R is just one more step in that direction. Thankfully, at least one rumor indicates its turbocharged engine might make it into the North American Civic at some point. Related Video:
