Up for sale is a 2011 Honda CRV EX 4wd. This suv is a one owner. It has 37k. Miles. It has been carefully maintained and has much life left in it. Im going to highlight this suv through three main paragraphs. They are the Exterior,Interior and Lastly the Drivetrain.

Exterior: This CRV was ordered in Alabaster Silver Metallic. A very attractive color on these Hondas. The paint is in overall great shape. It has a good hard gloss still and has no major denting or damage. I have only found one ding and one small scratch. The scratch is pictured and the ding wouldnt show up on camera. Overall I would rate this suv at a easy 9.5 on a 1-10 scale.

Interior: This CRV was ordered with the medium grey cloth interior. The seats are all overall very clean and sit well. The drivers side and passenger side seats are manual and both adjust with ease. Every option works as it should including the air, heat, cruise, keyless entry,cd player, sun roof, etc. The interior smells great and is smoke free! I am going to rate the interior at a 9.5 on a 1-10.

Drivetrain: The trustworthy 2.4L 4 Cylinder Engine was ordered for this suv. It is mated to a 5 speed Automatic Transmission. Both perform as they should. There is no check engine lights or other lights present during operation. The vehicle drives out nice. The match Sumitomo tires have roughly 80% tread on all 4. I would drive this CRV to California and not think twice. I will rate the drivetrain at a 9.5 on a 1-10.

In Closing: This suv is overall very clean. There is lots of life left in this vehicle. Nada Shows a clean retail of over $21,000. My pricing is very fair. Bid to win! As always this vehicle is being sold as is/where is. Contact me with any questions at 423-413-4478 My name is Josh. Thanks for viewing my auction.

Honda surprises with Gear concept in Montreal

Thu, 17 Jan 2013

It's not often that a major automobile manufacturer debuts a brand-new concept at the Montreal International Auto Show - mostly because it takes place concurrently with the massive show in Detroit - but here we are with the so-called Honda Gear Concept Study Model, which was just uncovered by our friendly neighbors to the north.
According to the automaker, the Gear "demonstrates Honda's innovative approach to providing the automotive answer for young, urban, Gen-Y lifestyles. Inspired by fixed-gear bicycles... Gear is simple and utilitarian, but also customizable, connected and full of personality." It is apparently "practical but fun, customizable, connected and affordable. Everything that young, discerning urban buyers would want in a car," according to Dave Marek, Design Director at Honda R&D Americas.
We don't know anything else - what might lie underhood, how it is "connected" or at what price point it might potentially be sold at. Check out our high-res image gallery above and the press release below and you'll know just about as much as we do.

Pedestrian deaths increase; cell-phone distractions may be culprit

Fri, Aug 14 2015

In Philadelphia, city officials are running a public-safety campaign that implores road users to simply "Put. Phone. Down." In Florida, a similar advertisement reminds people, "Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow." What's unusual about these messages is that they target pedestrians. Amid widespread concern about distracted drivers on American roads, there's a growing body of research that suggests distracted walking is equally problematic. Pedestrians engrossed in their phone, text or Tinder conversations are stepping into intersections without so much as a glance at oncoming traffic. That may be one reason pedestrian deaths are increasing. They jumped 15 percent in a five-year period between 2009 and 2013, according to a study released this week by the Governors Highway Safety Association, with 4,735 killed in 2013. In the same time, overall traffic fatalities have fallen by 3.4 percent. Pedestrian deaths now comprise 14 percent of all traffic fatalities, and approximately one pedestrian death occurs every two hours in the United States. Alcohol is still a top culprit – it's involved in 49 percent of pedestrian deaths on either the part of driver or walker – but as cities rush to implement a wave of slower speed limits, wider sidewalks and street medians to counter pedestrian deaths, there's new focus on holding pedestrians accountable for eliminating distractions. "Undoubtedly, motorists are responsible for many pedestrian accidents," said a July newsletter from the National Motorists Association. "But pedestrians must also assume responsibility for their own safety." This week's report from the GHSA cites growing research that suggests pedestrians aren't yet doing their part. At 20 high-risk intersections, 26 percent of pedestrians wore headphones, 15 percent were texting and 13 percent talked on the phone, according to a 2013 University of Georgia study. More recently, a William Paterson University study issued earlier this year found more than 25 percent of New York City pedestrians were distracted by either their phones or headphones. Half of the pedestrians who crossed with a "Don't Walk" signal were distracted. "Getting smashed at the bar? Don't get smashed walking home." - Minnesota public-safety campaign.

China's auto sales continue to drop

Sat, Sep 12 2015

The days of unending growth of carmakers in China look to be over, and some analysts are even forecasting a net drop in volume this year, The Detroit News reports. After falling numbers in June and July, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers tallied total sales, including trucks and buses, in August to 1.7 million, down 3 percent from 2014. There were some tiny specs of good news in China, but there's no turnaround in sight. Total vehicle sales from January to August are actually still up but only 2.6 percent. Like the rest of the world, SUVs are booming with numbers up 45.6 percent from the previous year. Honda managed a very impressive 50.7 percent gain on the strength of the CR-V and Vezel (the HR-V here), according to The Detroit News. Also, the country's domestic automakers, which generally offer less expensive products, posted a 2.5 percent growth in sales. The news continues to look bad for Detroit's automakers, though. Volume from General Motors dropped 4.8 percent in August, and Ford fell 3 percent in August. Both of them have invested significant amounts there in the past years. The vehicle industry in China grew last year, but there was burgeoning evidence of weakness. At the end of 2014, dealers there pushed back against huge inventories pushed by automakers. Even before the big drops began in June, GM saw the writing on the wall and started cutting prices. BMW responded to the slump by cutting back production to deal with the changing demand.
