Up for sale is a used 2008 Honda CR-V.  Runs great, shows normal wear and tear for a car this age.  Mechanic inspection is completed and passed.  A copy can be shared with you. Absolutely NO DEALERSHIPS or CAR-SELLING SERVICES/COMPANIES/WEBSITES. Private Parties ONLY! No Low-ballers. Serious Buyers only please! 2008 Honda CR-V 5DR 2WD EX-L w/NAV, asking $15,299 (price is FIRM). As of 6/17/14, it has 71,338 mi. (Mileage will not increase much as it is not being used as a daily driver, only being started and driven around the block every few days). It is in great overall condition, inside and out. We had a Lemon Squad Inspection done on the car on 6/17/14, it passed and we have a full report for viewing. Also completed a Smog test on 6/16/14. Smog Cert was automatically sent to DMV. Registration is paid through Feb 2015. I would rate the car a 9/10. No engine/transmission/recall issues. The car has not been in any accidents. Has a very minor paint scuff on the front fender corner that has been touched up, and a couple tiny nicks/scratches/dings that are normal "wear & tear" for a 6 year old car. Muffler has minor impact dent/scrape, but does not affect performance, functionality, or smog test result. Can refer you to the Inspection Report for more detail. ---------------- Video of car: http://youtu.be/arp1HFKfKAc ---------------- **Please note that I am NOT the owner of this vehicle. However, I am totally legitimate (this is not a scam) and urge you to call or email me if you have any concerns/trepidation prior to doing business. I am selling this CR-V on behalf of one of my best friends who lives up in L.A. He is currently busy with business/travel and does not have the necessary time to devote to posting an ad, meeting with people, answering questions, and doing test drives. He asked me to sell his car for him since I have a substantial amount of experience buying and selling cars, and because I have successfully sold several cars for my friends and family in the recent past. Cars are my "thing", and I truly enjoy the process of buying and selling them! Please feel free to ask me any questions via email/text/phone. If I don't know the answer, I will ask my friend and relay the info to you ASAP. If you have questions or would like a test drive, the best way of contact is via text at (949)257-7969. Honda, GM supposedly working together on PHEVs, autonomous cars

Thu, Jan 7 2016

Back in 2013, Honda and General Motors announced that they would work together on hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (pictured). The stated goal was to develop "commercially feasible fuel cell and hydrogen storage" for around 2020, but there was no discussion at the time that any actual H2 vehicles would come out of the program. Things are evolving with that partnership, maybe. There are rumors circling this week that the two automakers are now working together on plug-in hybrid vehicle technology and autonomous technology. The supposed new facet to the GM-Honda partnership doesn't just focus on a powertrain, reports The Yomiuri Shinbun, but also in getting suppliers to lower prices because now you have two automakers ordering parts together. Building plug-in hybrids and fuel cell cars together might be a thing, too, Yomiuri says. The 2013 hydrogen partnership was made between two leaders in the field (the announcement press release talks says, "GM and Honda rank No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in total fuel cell patents filed between 2002 and 2012." But if these new rumors are true, then it's more of a bit of catch up for Honda (which had a great but unsuccessful car in the Accord PHEV) while GM gets more tech to better challenge Toyota. That's how the Yomiuri presents it, anyway. A Honda spokesperson told AutoblogGreen that, "Honda and GM's collaboration in the co-development of next generation fuel cell systems is making good progress. Engineers are discussing how we might expand the relationship utilizing each other's strengths, but there is no fixed plan regarding specific areas or timing." Honda Insight finally, officially dead

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

Earlier this week, we told you that the Honda Insight was scheduled to get the axe - something that had been rumored for a long time. Now, Honda has officially confirmed that the Insight is being put out of our its misery. That's right, America's most affordable mass-produced hybrid will officially die after the 2014 model year, with production scheduled to end this summer. Honda says that, moving forward, it will focus its efforts on expanding its newer two-motor hybrid system found in the Accord. Of course, this news doesn't exactly give us much hope for the CR-Z hatchback's longevity, either. Scroll down for the official release.

Honda's hot new Civic Type R finally hatches in production form [w/video] [UPDATE]

Tue, Mar 3 2015

UPDATE: A previous version of this article incorrectly indicated that the vehicle in question is the most powerful hot hatch ever made. As some commenters pointed out, the Ford Focus RS500 was more powerful by some 40 horsepower. We've updated the text below accordingly. Takanobu Ito may be stepping down as president and CEO of Honda, but as far as performance machinery is concerned, he'll be leaving the company in good shape. Not only has he ushered Honda back into Formula One – reviving the legendary partnership with McLaren – but he's also brought back two performance icons: the NSX and the Civic Type R. The former is making its European debut here at the Geneva Motor Show after its premier in Detroit, but alongside it we're seeing for the first time the production version of the latter. Not that it's exactly our first look at the new hot hatch. We've seen it testing, seen a couple of concept versions and even drove an early prototype. But after that whole lengthy process, it's finally here. (Or there, we should say, because it won't be coming to America. At least not in its current form.) What we're looking at, according to the manufacturer, is not only the fastest and most powerful front-drive hot hatch it's ever made, but on the market altogether. It packs a 2.0-liter VTEC turbo four kicking out 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque – the most powerful production engine the company has ever offered – said to be enough to propel the new Civic Type R to 62 in 5.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 167 miles per hour. That's a whole lot of muscle to channel to the front wheels, but Honda's surely done its best to keep it all under control. It's got an old-school six-speed manual transmission, electric power steering, 19-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, adaptive dampers and a suspension designed to combat torque steer and tuned to enhance high-speed stability and support hard cornering. In addition to extensive testing at locations including the Nurburgring, Suzuka and the company's own Takasu test track, the new Civic Type R has also undergone considerable CFD and wind tunnel testing to tune the aerodynamics. The resulting appendages may be toned down slightly from the concepts, but still make quite a visual impact – to say nothing of generating much-needed downforce to keep this sucker glued to the road or track.
