Up for auction is a beautiful 2001 Honda CRV EX All Wheel Drive. This CRV is in excellent mechanical condition. I am a Honda Master Technician with over 15 years of dealership experience and training and I personally performed all needed maintenance and repairs. I just replaced the water pump, timing belt, air conditioning belt, power steering belt, and alternator belt. I put new front and rear sway bar links on it. The oil and filter was just changed. The transmission fluid was just changed. The engine coolant was just changed. The rear differential fluid was just changed. The valves were just adjusted. The brakes are in good condition front and rear. The tires are in very good condition with lots of tread left. This CRV runs and drives great. There are no noises, leaks, smells, etc. The interior and exterior are very clean, the pictures speak for themselves. All options work with the exception of the digital clock. The air conditioning is ice cold and the heat is very hot. There are no warning lights on and they do all work. This has low miles for a 2001 at only 135,000 miles. With the maintenance that was just performed its easily ready to drive anywhere. Also, this CRV has NO RUST! This is truly a NO RESERVE AUCTION. The highest bid at the end of the auction wins. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. I do require a $200 deposit thru paypal within 24 hours of auctions ending. The remaining balance is due within 7 days in the form of cash or bank wire transfer only. No other forms of payment are accepted and I do not accept paypal other than for the deposit. I will gladly assist with shipping but all costs, arrangements, etc. are up to the buyer. The title is free, clear, and in my name. Any other questions please feel free to ask. Thanks, and God Bless! Brian.

2014 Honda Accord V6 Touring

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

America's midsize sedan segment is one of the most crowded and fiercely competitive in the business. The Toyota Camry has long been our nation's best seller, while the Honda Accord has dutifully come in second place, like some sort of codependent Cal Naughton Jr. riding Ricky Bobby's back bumper.
There was that one year, 2001, when the Accord briefly broke the Camry's streak, marring what would today have been a 17-year-long run of best-selling car titles. The Accord pulled the opposite move in 2011, letting sales slip far enough to let not only the Toyota by, but the Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion, as well. Aside from those anomalies, the Camry and Accord have been first and second in this segment since before many of you readers could even drive.
It's 2014, and these frenemies have never before faced a threat to their world order as strong as today's class of family sedans. The aforementioned Altima and Fusion are perhaps the most capable challengers, but the Chevrolet Malibu, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Volkswagen Passat and Mazda6 are all capable of convincing new buyers to walk their way.

Honda pulling plug on slow-selling Insight hybrid

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

Insight hasn't amounted to even a tenth of Prius sales, and well over half of those sold were JDM.
It's been a rough ride for the Honda Insight, and now its journey appears to be at an end - word is that the five-door hybrid hatchback is going out of production.

Takata airbag victim looked like she had been stabbed

Tue, 21 Oct 2014

We generally take certain principals for granted. The more water you drink, for example, the healthier you'll be. The more time you spend reading car news on Autoblog, the better informed you'll be. And the more airbags your car has, the safer you'll be. Because airbags equal safety. But that's not what some unfortunate drivers of vehicles equipped with Takata airbags are finding, and tragically finding out the hard way.
In what could be the most startling incident resulting from the airbag debacle so far, a woman named Hien Tran of Orlando, FL, was killed by what looked at first like stab wounds on her neck. It later emerged that the fatal injuries could have been inflicted by the faulty airbag on her Honda Accord. Tran bought her Honda secondhand, and may not have been aware that the airbag issue had not been addressed by its previous owner in a previous recall in 2009.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death, but it wouldn't be the only injury resulting from the malfunctioning Takata airbags. The units, employed particularly by Japanese automakers like Honda (which owns part of Takata) and Toyota, are the subject of a massive recall involving some 14 million vehicles from 11 different automakers.
