Nice 1999 Honda Accord Ex Sedan 4-door 3.0l In Great Condition! Leather Interior on 2040-cars
Chicago, Illinois, United States
Up for auction we have a nice 1999 Honda Accord 4 Door and Beige in Color with beige leather interior. It's a great car. I'm selling this for a colleague and long time friend of mine. We've worked together and known each other for over ten years now. I'm his go-to-guy for most everything. I even do his taxes. It's no wonder why when his parents decided to gift him their newer car that he decided to have me sell this car for him. This is his sole reason for selling this car. His parents gave him their newer Jeep for his 40th Birthday. Otherwise, he'd love to keep this car as it runs and drives great. Because he planned on keeping the car, he recently put a bunch of money into it. He recently bought a new battery, just tuned up the car and performed much maintenance. He bought the car in July, 2011 as the title reads. He paid about $6,000. It was purchased from a reputable service shop in the Gold Coast area and had a professionally installed brand new transmission. The vehicles current blue book value is at about $4,500. I have the clean and clear signed title in hand ready to hand over to the highest bidder upon completion of this auction. The vehicle is located in my yard in the Midway Airport area and is available for inspection upon request and appointment.
The vehicle runs and drives great. It's very reliable. It had a brand new transmission professionally installed in 2011 and has just recently been tuned up with new spark plugs, wires, air filter and belts. This is a real good runner and ready to be a daily driver. It is however 15 years old and has its fair share of dents, dings and scratches. Overall, it looks pretty good. There are no major accidents. The interior is in great shape. It has leather seats and some wood grain with no tears or rips. Interior is in really good shape. The trunk looks like it's a trunk in a brand new vehicle. Tires are well worn but still have some good mileage. All lights and power accessories are functional. It has a brand new battery and new front brakes. The vehicle is being sold due to receiving a newer vehicle as a gift. A lot of money was recently put into this vehicle with the intention of long term ownership. You won't regret buying this car. This car is still being sold as is with no warranty. I reserve the right to end the auction early for local sale. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Please look at and review the pictures for condition and feel free to come and see the vehicle upon request and appointment. I would like a deposit via paypal of $500 within two days of auction end. I would like to finalize sale and be paid in cash the remainder due within one week of auctions end. If not possible, please seek approval of any other ideas you may have. I can help a little with shipping if you are out of state but the burden is on you. I'll do all I can to help and cooperate with the shipping company of your choice. Thanks so much for looking and considering this vehicle. Good luck! |

Acura NSX to be built in Ohio in 2015
Tue, 14 May 2013Honda today confirmed that the forthcoming Acura NSX hybrid supercar will be built at a brand-new facility in Ohio. This will be the company's third plant in Ohio, and will come as the result of a $70 million investment. Honda first hinted that NSX production would be coming to Ohio when the original concept car was revealed at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
Honda's new facility, called the Performance Manufacturing Center, will encompass a 184,000-square foot space inside of the automaker's former North American Logistics building and will employ 100 associates. As you might expect, the Performance Manufacturing Center is located just a few miles from Honda's American-based R&D facility, as well as the Marysville auto plant, where production of the 2014 Accord Hybrid will kick off this fall.
"The location of this facility is in the midst of one of the greatest collections of engineering and production talent in the world. So it makes sense that we will renew the dream and build this high-tech, supercar in Marysville, Ohio," said Hidenobu Iwata, president and CEO of Honda of America, in a press release.
2014 Honda Odyssey revamp only costs an extra $150*
Wed, 26 Jun 2013Honda has released pricing on its 2014 Odyssey. Buyers can take home the revamped minivan for $28,825 (excluding an $830 destination fee). That price marks a $150 increase over the 2013 model, but that extra Benjamin and a half buys you a whole slate of updates. Those include a new six-speed automatic transmission in all trims, revised exterior styling and a few tweaks to the instrument cluster and dash controls. Honda's familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine provides 248 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque, and the new gearbox helps the van return 19 miles per gallon city and 28 mpg highway.
Of course, those who opt for the top-shelf $44,450* Touring Elite trim will get to play with the new HondaVac vacuum cleaner system. The handheld vac is built into the van's rear cargo area and recharges using the onboard 12-volt electrical system. The little vacuum features a removable debris canister as well as a replaceable filter bag and can run for eight minutes between charges. Check out the full press release below for more information.
Struggling McLaren-Honda F1 partners near 'fork in the road'
Wed, Jun 7 2017WOKING, England - McLaren's partnership with Honda has not worked so far, and the team is now approaching a "fork in the road," executive director Zak Brown said on Wednesday. Speaking to Reuters in his office at the Formula One team's headquarters, Brown (pictured above) indicated clearly that a parting of the ways was a real option under consideration by management. The American said engine upgrades promised for this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix were not ready, and the Japanese manufacturer could not say when they might be. And while McLaren still wanted to win championships with Honda, there were serious concerns as to whether that was achievable. "Honda's working very hard, but they seem a bit lost," said Brown, who replaced Ron Dennis at the helm late last year. "We were only told recently that we wouldn't have the upgrade coming (for Montreal) ... and we don't have a definitive timeline, which is concerning because the pain is great and we can't sit around forever. "We were eagerly awaiting this upgrade as were our drivers, and it's a big disappointment that it's not coming. It's not lack of effort, but they are struggling to get it to come together."FAILURE AND EMBARRASSMENT McLaren, the second oldest and most successful team in Formula One after Ferrari in terms of race wins, are the only ones yet to score a point this season. They have not won a race since 2012. The renewed partnership with Honda in 2015 was billed as a return to the glory days, when French great Alain Prost and the late Brazilian Ayrton Senna dominated the late 1980s and early 1990s. Instead it has brought failure and embarrassment to the former world champions, whose cars have failed to finish races -- and sometimes even start them -- due to engine failures. Spanish driver Fernando Alonso, a double world champion whose future is uncertain, said in March that "we have only one problem, and that is the power unit. There is no reliability and there is no power." Honda's engine troubles even plagued Alonso at the Indy 500, where a failure took him out of the race. McLaren were ninth in 2015, sixth last year and this season could become their worst ever. MARCHING ORDERS "The executive committee have now given us our marching orders," said Brown, who is also chairman of the fast-growing Motorsport Network media group. "We're not going to go into another year like this, in hope." "I don't want to get into what our options are.
