Honda Accord Limousine Low Miles Garaged For Years One Of A Kind on 2040-cars
Wellton, Arizona, United States
1985 HONDA ACCORD LIMOUSINE WITH VERY LOW MILES AND IN VERY GOOD SHAPE! CAR HAS BEEN IN MY DADS GARAGE FOR YEARS. LAST TAGS ON PLATE WERE FROM 2002 AND EVEN THEN HE RARELY USED IT. WE HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE SINCE 1993 AND WAS ALWAYS GARAGED AND MAINTAINED. OVER THE PAST 21 YEARS WE HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE IT HAS ONLY BEEN DRIVEN 13,246 MILES. I AM SELLING THE CAR FOR MY MOTHER SINCE MY FATHER HAS PASSED. SO FAR I HAVE PULLED IT OUT OF THE GARAGE AND MOUNTED 4 NEW TIRES, INSTALLED A NEW BATTERY, DRAINED THE FUEL AND ADDED FRESH FUEL, CHANGED THE OIL AND FILTER. THE CAR STARTS AND RUNS BUT RUNS ROUGH AT IDLE-NEEDS TO HAVE THE CARB CLEANED OUT(YES IT IS CARBURATED)AND OR ADD FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER AND RUN LONGER TO HOPEFULLY CLEAR UP THE IDLE CIRCUIT. WE ARE IN A RURAL AREA SO I HAVE DRIVEN IT WITH THE EXPIRED TAGS TO MAKE SURE IT WAS SHIFTING THROUGH THE GEARS AND DRIVING PROPERLY...IT RUNS FINE AND SMOOTH ONCE OFF OF THE IDLE CIRCUIT AND PULLING FROM THE PRIMARY OF THE CARB. THE CAR HAS SOME MINOR COSMETIC ISSUES BUT THE BODY IS STRAIGHT AND IT IS AN ARIZONA CAR...ALTHOUGH IT DOES SHOW SOME MINOR RUST TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE UNDER CARRIAGE MOST LIKELY FROM WHERE THE CAR WAS SECTIONED INTO THE LIMOUSINE. THE A/C WORKS JUST NEEDS TO BE CHARGED. ANY QUESTIONS OR ADDITIONAL PICS JUST MESSAGE ME-I HAVE NOT HAD THE TIME TO INVEST IN CHARGING THE AIR CONDITIONING OR CLEANING THE CARB BUT PLAN TO DO SO IF I GET THE TIME. ONCE THAT HAPPENS AND TAGS ARE RENEWED SO THE VEHICLE CAN BE USED PRICE WILL LIKELY CHANGE-THANKS

Honda finance to pay $24M for discriminatory lending practices
Wed, Jul 15 2015Honda has found itself in hot water in the United States over allegations of discriminatory lending practices. However the Japanese automaker's American subsidiaries are taking actions to not only alter its practices, but compensate the victims of such past discrimination. According to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, some Honda dealers were found to have offered less preferential loans to customers of African-American, Hispanic, Asian, and Pacific Islander ethnicities than they have offered to white customers, irrespective of their individual financial situations. The American Honda Finance Corporation has allowed dealers to mark up individual loans by two percent or more, depending on the length of the loan's contract, thereby opening the door for dealers to set interest rates at their discretion. And that discretion, according to the CFPB and the Department of Justice, has been applied in a discriminatory fashion, in violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. Honda, for its part, refutes the allegations and maintains that its practices have not been racially or ethnically discriminatory. The company is nevertheless taking measures to address the charges. For one thing, Honda's US financial arm is reducing the amount of wiggle-room it gives its dealers to only 1.25 percent above the buy rate for short-term loans (5 years or less), and one percent for longer-term loans. It has also set up a $24-million fund to compensate victims of the alleged discrimination, coordinating with the CFPB on the dispersal of said funds. The CFPB reports that "because of Honda's responsible conduct," it is not seeking penalties to be levied against the company for the alleged discrimination. STATEMENT BY AMERICAN HONDA FINANCE CORPORATION RE: Settlement with the Department of Justice and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Jul 14, 2015 -- American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC) has reached an agreement with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) that shows our commitment to work together to be part of the solution and to establish the path forward that best supports our Honda and Acura customers and dealers with clear and convenient financing options. AHFC strongly opposes any form of discrimination, and we expect our dealers to uphold this principle as well. We firmly believe that our lending practices have been fair and transparent.
Honda concept dials M for minivan [w/video]
Sat, 20 Apr 2013Yes, it looks a bit, uh, toothy, but what you see here is a concept that previews a brand new small MPV specifically designed for the Chinese market. Called the Concept M, the swoopy Honda was designed in Japan and the automaker is currently aiming to launch a production version in China sometime in 2014.
Honda hasn't released many details about its small van concept, simply saying that it "offers the attributes of a passenger car while adding new value through the realization of a comfortable and spacious cabin space made possible by Honda's packaging technologies, and the fun of driving." Doesn't sound too bad to us.
Have a glance at the Concept M in the gallery above (full disclosure: we don't have live shots of this one), and take a look below for the official press blast direct from the MPV's Shanghai debut, as well as a promotional video showing the new concept from all angles. Oh, and be sure to turn your volume down before pushing the play button.
Honda Vezel leaked in Mugen trim
Mon, 16 Dec 2013Just last month at the Tokyo Motor Show, Honda revealed its new Vezel crossover, a production version of the Urban SUV concept that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show. According to new reports, the model already has a three-month waiting list in Japan alone. But that doesn't mean Honda's tuning division, Mugen, is waiting around to spruce it up.
Pictured here is the Mugen-tuned version of the Vezel leaked from a sales brochure in Japan. While there's not much information to go on, Mugen's take on the Vezel appears to be wearing a custom aero kit, with more pronounced lower bumpers and side sills, a more Acura-like grille treatment and different wheels.
Whether we'll ever get a Mugen package like this when the Fit-based CUV arrives in North America remains to be seen, but we've historically gotten very few of these tuned-up Hondas. In fact, we're still not even sure what the tiny crossover will be called when it arrives here, but something tells us it won't arrive carrying the Vezel moniker.
