Offered for No Reserve Auction is my 2006 Honda Accord EX-L MT. This is a rare car, very few were made. Being a mom I wanted something sporty and fun to drive but practical and this definitely fit the bill. This is a two owner car, adult owned, non smokers. It has been maintained at Honda Dealerships until last year when I found a master Honda technician who had formally worked at Honda open a shop closer to my home. Only Genuine Honda parts have been used on this car and I had it inspected by my mechanic just prior to listing it for sale. It runs and drives great. I encourage you to set up your own inspection if you are buying from a distance. I am happy to bring it to either Bernardi Honda (Natick) or Boch Honda (Norwood) for Honda's 120 point inspection (used car inspection). The car was originally in GA and spent time in SC before our move to MA in late 2010 so it has not spent all 7 years in the more harsh winter conditions.

There is a tiny ding that is next to the gas tank that does not show up in pictures. On the rear passenger side by the trunk lid there is a slightly more significant dent. I was quoted $225 to pull it out. There has been a small paint touch up where the paint was scratched when the car was dented and it is pictured the touch up paint is not a perfect match even though it was done professionally and does not show very well in the picture but it is there none the less. there are a few other small paint touch ups not bigger then a pencil eraser from gravel or other things hitting the paint through the years and I did not want to leave bare metal to rust.

It has had all suggested maintenance to this point and on time oil changes throughout it's life. It has new brakes all the way around as of this year. The tires only have about 10,000 miles on them. I just had a professional detail done so it would feel like it was purchased from a dealer without the added expense of actually buying from a dealer. This is my favorite car I have owned and it has a ton of life left in it. It is time for me to move on to something with a 3rd row seat.

I would expect anyone bidding on this car to contact me to view/test drive it prior to bidding. I have done my best to disclose to you the condition but I know that condition can be subjective. If you do not inspect the car first and then bid, this is at your own risk. I will not haggle on the price you bid when you come to take delivery of the vehicle. This is a no reserve auction which means that whatever price it ends at, there is someone who is willing to pay just a tiny bit less then you and maybe they did inspect it. So to be fair to all parties I must be clear, please come inspect it or have someone inspect it for you. Your bid is binding and the car is sold as-is. It is a great car and is my daily driver ( I have garaged it pending the sale as to not accumulate any more miles). I require a $500 non-refundable deposit due at auction close, this holds the vehicle until you arrive, with the balance due upon delivery of the car. I expect whomever wins the auction to make plans to take delivery within 5 days of Auction close.

1997 Acura Integra Type R auctioned for $63,800

Mon, Oct 1 2018

The Acura Integra, also known as the Honda Integra, was a front-wheel-drive sport compact car that neatly slotted between the Honda Civic and the Honda Accord. The Integra's sportiness wasn't just in its design, as there were a number of quite powerful engine choices for it, and some handling improvements. The mid-to-late-1990s second-generation car was available as the nearly-200-horsepower Type R version, which made a lasting impression no matter if you were an Acura customer, a Honda customer, a British motoring journalist putting the car through its paces in Wales or a PlayStation Gran Turismo gamer driving a virtual Integra at a fictional race track. The bug-eyed, sharply detailed Integra Type R, complete with a strengthened chassis, lightened spec, white wheels and a sizable rear wing, was an instant classic, and two decades later their values are definitely on the rise. No wonder, as they've been called the best-handling front-wheel-drive cars made, and there's some strong competition for that title. However, while the Integra Type R was sold new in limited numbers (just 320 units for the U.S. market in 1997), it wasn't envisioned just how much they could be worth in 2018. The past weekend, a certain high point was reached, as a 1,200-mile, Championship White, Acura-badged example was sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction for an eye-watering $63,800 with fees included. That is roughly double what the car cost new, no matter how new-condition it is. Perhaps the $60K+ sale price for the Type R was foreboded by a particular Florida-based car selling for $40,750 in late June, on Bring a Trailer. That car wasn't even in as-new condition, as it had already accumulated almost 60,000 miles. While these prices might reflect in the values of other used Integra Type R cars and even the more regular-issue, 170-horsepower Integra GS-R models, it might turn out be a blessing for the existing examples not ravaged by road salt or modding in usual Honda fashion, or stolen and parted out: As the values for Type R's keep climbing, it provides even more of an incentive for Type R owners to keep their cars in good or excellent shape. We're just hoping for a sweet spot there, so that the Integras won't all be mollycoddled and cocooned for fear of depreciation — these cars need to be used, out on the road with the VTEC singing, nearing 8,500 rpm. That's what they were designed for.

Editors’ Picks January 2023 | Acura Integra, the new CR-V and more

Wed, Feb 1 2023

A new year means another long year of testing and evaluating new metal coming from the automotive industry — we know, tough job, right? It also means another year of new cars making it to our EditorsÂ’ Picks status, and weÂ’re starting out January with a bang. In total, eight new vehicles were EditorsÂ’ Picks this month, including some brand-new models like the redesigned Honda CR-V, Cadillac Lyriq and the ever-controversial Acura Integra. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, hereÂ’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get an EditorsÂ’ Pick designation. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in January that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2023 Honda CR-V 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Touring front three quarter View 22 Photos Quick take: An all-around winner, the Honda CR-V is spacious, features easily used technology and looks better than ever. We recommend the efficient hybrid model, but the standard powertrain is a solid option, too. Score: 9.0. What it competes with: Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, Nissan Rogue, VW Tiguan, Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Escape, Mitsubishi Outlander Pros: Clean styling; massive interior; efficient engine options; solid infotainment system; many standard safety features. Cons: No base trim levels; lack of specialty options such as plug-in hybrid and off-road models. From the editors: News Editor Joel Stocksdale — "The CR-V is just really good in a lot of ways that really matter. It's enormous inside. It has a clean, stylish exterior and interior. It's solidly equipped. The base engine is pretty underwhelming, but that's rectified with the more powerful, more refined and more efficient hybrid. It simply doesn't do anything badly." Senior Editor James Riswick — "The 2023 Honda CR-V is at its best as the hybrid. While the turbo base engine carries over virtually unchanged, the hybrid is new for 2023. To put it simply, itÂ’s just better to drive. Honda engineers managed to simulate shifts when the gas engine kicks on, providing a more natural driving experience and eliminating the blender-like droning of the outgoing car.

Honda recalling 405K vehicles over airbag issue

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

Honda is in hot water due to an airbag glitch that is causing it to recall 405,400 vehicles. According to the campaign, the supplemental restraints might fire for no apparent reason. 342,000 of the affected vehicles are 2003 and 2004 Odyssey minivans, which gels with a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation we reported on in June.
Joining the Odyssey in the recall is the Acura MDX, with 63,400 units covered from the 2003 model year. Unlike the van, though, the MDX's recall covers Japan and Australia, in addition to the US and Canada. Both vehicles are suffering from an airbag control unit that is prone to malfunction when exposed to electrical noise, a condition that can cause the airbags to deploy without warning. Although no crashes have been reported in such scenarios, there have been some injuries typical of airbag deployment - abrasions and such.
Honda will be mailing recall notices to owners near the end of October, asking them to bring their vehicles into the dealership for installation of an electrical noise filter. The repair will take about an hour and be free of charge. Scroll down for the official announcement from Honda.
