This car runs great and is a beautiful car. It is just like any other Honda on the road. Runs great, No issues.

Here is the history of the car. I want to give you all the information that I have on the vehicle.

I purchased it from a used dealer in PA with a NY salvage certificate. I went through the process of getting it back on the road and have a New York title. It shows Salvage/Rebuilt on front and not actual Mileage. This dealer bought it at auction and this car was involved in flood damage from Sandy. When I looked at the car originally it was running with no problems. I pulled out the interior of the car to inspect for any possible damage. Found a little moisture under the floor insulation. You could see the water marks which did not go high enough to get to any of the electrical components. It is confusing to me how the insurance ever totaled this car but when they have a lot of claims they do what is best for them financially. They also guessed at the mileage and the reason for not actual mileage on the title.

The car has been completely detailed and interior cleaned.

The car functions like any other 2011 Accord on the road. I have driven the car 2,000 miles personally and got 32 mpg on a recent trip on vacation. There is one door ding on the Passenger rear door and a mark on the bottom of the front bumper cover along with a couple of fine scratches. These are minor and was unable to really show them with pics. I could take pics of them and send them to you if needed. Or if you are local you are more than welcome to set up a time to come see the car and inspect it and drive it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

If you do not like the window tinting in the rear I can remove it. It came with the car so I left it installed.

The oil, transmission oil and Brake fluid have all been replaced as a precautionary measure. There was no contamination. I am just particular about that kind of stuff.

Just so you have my background I have been in the automotive industry for 30 years and am a trained technician. I would not have purchased the car in the first place if I thought it would be a problem. I love the car and want to keep it and that was my intention but due to personal issues I need to sell it. That being said do not expect me to give the car away. I know what the car is worth and you are getting a great vehicle.

Buyer is responsible for shipping and I will not ship overseas.

If you have any questions at all I will be glad to answer them. Thanks for looking.

I reserve the right to end this listing early due to the fact that I have it for sale locally as well.

Question of the Day: What's the most irritating car name?

Wed, Mar 9 2016

You hear a lot about how the Chevrolet Nova was a sales flop in Mexico because "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish; in fact, the Nova sold pretty well south of the border, and in any case most Spanish-speakers know that "Nova" means "new" in Latin and Portuguese. However, General Motors doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for bad car names, because the Oldsmobile Achieva— no doubt inspired by the excruciating "coffee achievers" ads of the 1980s— scrapes the biggest fingernails down the screechiest chalkboard in the US-market car-name world. That is, unless you think Daihatsu's incomprehensible choice of Charade was worse. Meanwhile, Japanese car buyers could get machines with cool names like Mazda Bongo Friendee or Honda Life Dunk. It's just not fair! So, what car name drives you the craziest? Related Video: Auto News Design/Style Chevrolet Honda Mazda Daihatsu Automotive History questions car names

Honda aiming for new mpg-record on European hypermile drive

Thu, May 28 2015

Here's a warning that there will be a Honda Civic clogging up the right lane of a bunch of highways throughout Europe next month. Honda wants to set the Guinness World Record for best fuel economy for a car going through the European Union's 24 contiguous countries. To do so, we can't expect any high speeds on the autobahn. Two of Honda's finest from its UK factory will hit the road June 1 for a 25-day journey in a Honda Civic Tourer that will take the pair through two-dozen countries in 25 days. That means about 370 miles of very measured driving per day. The Civic Tourer will be equipped with a tracking device and other telematic services, and the goal is to see what kind of fuel economy the pair can get from the car's 1.6-liter i-DTEC engine. Honda isn't saying what kind of fuel-sipping figure it's looking to achieve over those three-plus weeks, which will take the car through countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France and Spain, but the Japanese automaker is shooting for a fuel economy record irrespective of any type of powertrain, hybrids included. Take a look at Honda's press release below, and if you want to avoid or find the car en route, you can watch it on this tracker site. Honda targets new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for fuel efficiency with 8,500mile drive across Europe Honda will put the real-world fuel economy of its super-efficient 1.6 i-DTEC engine to the ultimate test in an 8,500mile drive across all 24 contiguous EU countries, with the aim of setting a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for fuel efficiency. On Monday 1st June 2015, two members of Honda's European Research & Development (R&D) team will climb into a Honda Civic Tourer and set out on an epic journey from Aalst, Belgium. Heading towards the Netherlands and Germany, their trip will see them navigate the Continent in a clockwise direction, with the aim of returning to their starting point some 25 days later, on June 25th, having covered a planned total of 8,459miles. The GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt comes on the back of several independent tests which have proven Honda's 1.6 i-DTEC engine to consistently out-perform its quoted fuel efficiency in real-world driving conditions. Keen to once again underline this performance and in the challenging spirit for which the brand is famed, Honda aims to set a benchmark with a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title never before attempted in Europe.
