75 Year old lady needs to sell her car for financial reasons. She bought it new and has taken exceptional care of it. It has received the 15k and 30k mile service from the dealer and honestly needs nothing.  I am selling this car for my Mother's friend who reluctantly needs to sell. I am not a dealer but have sold several vehicles on eBay and I pride myself on giving an honest and accurate description. I looked it over carefully and will try and note every little defect that I have found.                                                                I could not find one "door ding" on either side                                                                                                                                                                                                      paint is shiny and glossy and always properly washed                                                                                                                                                                                 car has ALWAYS been garaged                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          interior is as close to perfect as a 4 year old car could be-no scuffs, tears, smells or wear evident on any seats or carpet                     no spills, pets, or smoking                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       runs and drives as new                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          tires are original with no uneven wear and plenty of tread left--I would say good for another 20k miles                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Imperfections:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  scuff on driver side mirror-(she brushed against mailbox )                                                                                                                                                                      small 1/8" chip on passenger side rear door                                                                                                                                                                                                          2 VERY small chips on leading edge of trunk lid                                                                                                                                                                                                  2 small chips on right front passenger wheel arch                                                                                                                                                                                          small scuffs on bottom of front bumper cover                                                                                                                                                                                                   the worst imperfection is on the rear bumper cover which happened when she didn't quite have the car all the way in garage and the garage door slightly grazed the rear of the bumper cover while closing  which resulted in 3 light 3-4" scratches                                I am being very picky here in trying to list the imperfections--the small chips could be easily repaired with a small dab of touch-up paint--the 3 small scratches on rear bumper cover would probably need professional attention and I am guessing that rear bumper cover could be completely repainted for $200- $300.                                                                                                                                                                   Remember that this is not a dealer car-it has not had a professional detailing and it doesn't need one-it runs as new, looks great and will make someone a great vehicle for many years to come. She has set a very reasonable reserve on the Honda which is $2000 to $3000 less than you could buy this car at a dealership. You won't be disappointed. This is a true little old lady cream puff. Car is located in Whiteland, Indiana which is about 30 minutes south of Indianapolis. She has a lien on the Honda, so that buyer will have to meet her at the credit union to pay off the loan and get the title. Good Luck and happy bidding!!

Toyota tops Consumer Reports best, worst used car values

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

We often mock Toyota for building boring, soulless cars, but a new study by Consumer Reports suggests that regardless of whether that's true, the company has some of the best used cars on the market. In its report on used cars from 2004-2013, the Japanese automaker had 11 vehicles among its brands on the list - more than any other automaker.
CR breaks the list down by cost and vehicle size, and Toyota has at least one entry at every price point and in nearly every segment. To score a recommendation, a vehicle had to perform well in the magazine's initial tests and score above-average reliability results. It also tried to only suggest cars with electronic stability control. Of the 28 recommended vehicles, Honda/Acura had the second most mentions at six, and Ford, Hyundai and Subaru managed two each.
The Detroit brands also made it to the list, but not in a positive way. Consumer Reports compiled a list of 22 vehicles it wouldn't recommend because "they have multiple years of much-worse-than-average overall reliability." General Motors had the most unrecommended models on the list at six, but Chrysler and Ford weren't far behind, with five cars each from their brands not making the grade. The full list of recommendations is available on CR's website.

Honda Odyssey Hybrid greens up your minivan

Wed, Oct 28 2015

Almost neglected completely at the Honda press presentation at the Tokyo Motor Show today was what could be a true game changer. Lots of people drive minivans. Lots of people like hybrids. There are even some hybrid minivans for sale in Japan. But Honda has never offered its popular Odyssey premium minivan with a gas-electric powertrain. That's about to change. Too bad this fact was not mentioned at all during the press conference. The hybrid Odyssey was on the show floor, though, and a press pack distributed by Honda says that the minivan will have an updated dual-motor Sport Hybrid i-MMD powertrain "for outstanding environmental performance and powerful acceleration." Honda also says that this is the first time is has put the IPU (the Intelligent Power Unit, made up of the battery and Power Control Unit) under the front row seats. Overall, the powertrain update offers a, "new hybrid driving experience," Honda says, and that now, "the Odyssey Hybrid makes minivan travel more enjoyable than ever." The van also seems to be of a high specification, with plush seats, dark micro-fiber decorating the dash and forward areas, and captains chairs that look primed for napping. Hauling your family the green way comes with some creature comforts, it seems. Honda isn't any details about the environmental benefits of putting a hybrid powertrain into the Odyssey, but when the rumor of this vehicle first appeared, there was talk of a 50-percent reduction in fuel use. For a number of reasons - most important being that the American and Japanese Odysseys are very different vehicles – it's unlikely that a hybrid Odyssey will be available in the US any time soon. Featuring updated SPORT HYBRID i-MMD for outstanding environmental performance and powerful acceleration The most comfortable environment possible for transporting a large number of people. In fulfillment of this concept, the Odyssey premium minivan brings together a generously roomy cabin, distinctive styling, and an exhilarating yet steady driving experience. And now the Odyssey will also be available as a hybrid vehicle. Featur- ing a new power control unit with a compact and concentrated structure for outstanding power density, the innovative dual-motor SPORT HYBRID i-MMD hybrid system offers both outstanding environmental performance and the powerful acceleration of an electric motor.

OK Go ride Honda UNI-CUB ? in latest amazeballs music video

Tue, Oct 28 2014

When Honda unveiled the slimmed-down ?eta version of its Uni-Cub last year, it might have thought the minimalist electric vehicle would find its most enthusiastic audience inside office buildings, where it would simultaneously lighten the load of worker drones and perhaps inject a bit of rolling robotic tech-type fun into an otherwise drab and dreary day. It was wrong. Clearly, this personal mobility machine was destined for greater things. Honda paid for the new video, which was shot a half-speed. When you watch it, you'll know why. For instance, it could be used for electric unicycle square dancing (Okay, technically the Uni-Cub ? employs one wheel and a caster-type ball, thereby disqualifying it from unicycle status, but whatever.) Or even better, it could be a platform upon which the power pop group OK Go and a few hundred Japanese school girls could perform awesome maneuvers, including the aforementioned electric unicycle square dancing, in their latest totally amazeballs video. Honda reportedly paid for the new video, which was shot at half-speed and when you watch it, you'll know why. Where before we thought this curious device, with its intuitive steering and self-balancing, would only really ever find a place as a demonstrator of Honda's engineering prowess, we now see it as a foregone conclusion that it will infest our daily lives and fill them with fantastic choreographed journeys of art. Thank you for opening our eyes, Ok Go. To have your own eyes opened, just scroll below for the visual accompaniment to I Won't Let You Down from the new album, Hungry Ghosts. As is the band's wont, it's all done in one take, and is sure to drop your jaw. Ok, go! This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
