Hello! Up for sale is a well taken care of 2006 Honda Accord sedan EX-L with leather and navigation. It includes heated seats, power drivers seat, premium sound system, power everything, and sun roof. The cars external appearance is in great shape except for a few scuffs here and there (Please refer to pics). In the interior, everything is fully functional and and in pristine condition; there are no heavy stains in the carpet and no rips in the leather.

NOTE: Please review all hi resolution pictures included at http://www.flickr.com/photos/61736376@N04/sets/72157634809967030/ prior to bidding.

The cars engine runs perfectly and is responsive and powerful. Maintenance has been kept impeccable due to being my only car and not wanting to get stuck with my daughter in the car. I just replaced the battery with a new Honda OEM battery with warranty. The AC blows cold and has both driver and passenger individual controls. The tires are almost brand new with less than 5000mi on them. The wheels are aftermarket and are in pristine shape; no curb scuffs or major imperfections. As it is a honda, it probably has a couple more hundred thousand miles left if taken care of.

All mechanical aspects of the car are intact and function as they should. I did have a uHaul hitch put on it so I could hang a bike rack behind it. I went ahead and had uhaul run an electrical connection for lights to the back of the car in case I ever got a jet ski and wanted to pull it (I never did). A bike rack is installed on the car is not included in the price - if you want it you can have for an additional $250.  The car has been pre-wired for a subwoofer in the trunk and includes wires, fuse, and remote to the sub mounted professionally on the dash; the only thing needed is a sub and amp.

Okay, thats all the good stuff about the car and, being an honest man, I have to state the one issue with car. The right front wheel impacted a stationary object in the middle of the road and damaged the car. I had my mechanic estimate the damage and after careful management he said the subframe (not the main frame) is bent. I have done my research on this and a subframe can be had for around $300 from a used parts store. If you have the mechanical know-how, then $300 would be all that is required to fix the car back to new. If not, it would require approx 7 hours of labor to fix. I have had a fourwheel alignment to compensate for the subframe damage. If you were to drive the vehicle now you would not hardly be able to tell there is an issue with it. There is an ever so slight right pull while driving.

If you would like to schedule a time to come see the car or test drive or would like additional information, please send me a message; the car is located in the medical center of Houston TX.  I have no doubt this car will sell fast as it is a unique honda with black leather and navigation and in great condition. All reasonable offers will be considered. I need the money for some home improvements and am looking for a quick sale... Give me an offer!

Please not I am attempting to sell it privately.  If sold, the auction will be ended.

I have started the auction at specifically $6,000 because that is what CarMax would buy it outright from me.  The offer with them is still good if I have no luck on Ebay.

The car is being sold as-is and is not warrantied or covered by any factory or extended warranty.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Weekly Recap: Car-pedestrian crashes remained elevated in 2014

Sat, Feb 28 2015

The death of American Horror Story: Freak Show star Ben Woolf served as a reminder this week that car crashes involving pedestrians remain a problem, and a new study issued on Thursday reinforced that the situation isn't really getting better. The Governors Highway Safety Association found a slight decline, 2.8 percent, in the number of pedestrian deaths in the first six months of 2014. Fatalities dropped from 2,141 to 2,125 compared with the same period in 2013, though the association says it's a statistical wash when factoring in undercounting. Deaths are still 15-percent higher than in 2009. "The number of deaths remains relatively high and is cause for concern," wrote Allan Williams, who compiled the report and is the former chief scientist at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. This is the first look at data from last year, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will issue its full-year results later. The GHSA found some progress on the roadways, as 24 states and the District of Columbia reported drops in pedestrian deaths. In some states, the problem isn't even a problem at all: Nebraska and Wyoming reported one fatality apiece, though large population centers in urban areas are where most accidents occur. "This is a clearly a good news, bad news scenario," Jonathan Adkins, GHSA executive director, said in a statement. "While we're encouraged that pedestrian fatalities haven't increased over the past two years, progress has been slow." Other News & Notes Cadillac previews CT6 during Oscars Cadillac previewed its upcoming flagship sedan, the CT6, in commercials that aired Sunday during the Oscars. As expected, the creased sedan carries on Cadillac's recent design language, and the car in the commercial looks like a larger version of the CTS and ATS sedans. The CT6 will be revealed this spring at the New York Auto Show and launch late this year. It will be assembled at General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck factory on a rear-wheel-drive chassis, and the CT6 is the first car to use Cadillac's revised alpha-numeric naming scheme. The commercials also kicked off Cadillac's "Dare Greatly" campaign, which is the first with its new advertising agency, Publicis Worldwide. Current chief Takanobu Ito will step down in June and be replaced by company veteran Takahiro Hachigo.

Honda previews S660 roadster ahead of Tokyo debut

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Honda isn't known for making convertibles. In fact, legend has it that old man Soichiro banned them from his lineup - but then he also didn't approve of six-cylinder engines, either. There have been exceptions, like the Civic del Sol and S2000, and today Honda has revealed another.
Set to debut at the forthcoming Tokyo Motor Show in late November is the Honda S660 concept, a compact little roadster about which Honda is saying even less. It looks about the size of a Kei car, with a nameplate that suggests a 660cc engine, making it more of a revival for the 1990's Beat than the high-end S2000. And while there are some clear similarities with the EV-STER concept that debuted two years ago in Tokyo, the S660 looks closer to production-ready, with key features like an actual steering wheel.
Of course, whether the S660 makes production, and beyond that makes it off of the Japanese islands and across the Pacific to US showrooms, is another matter, but we could see something like this taking the fight to the Mazda MX-5 and even the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ if it did.

Former NHTSA chief may lead automaker-backed Takata investigation

Fri, Feb 6 2015

An automaker-led effort may see the former head of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration take on the probe into the Takata airbag inflator disaster. A coalition of at least ten automakers is in talks with former NHTSA administrator David Kelly, with unnamed sources familiar with the discussions telling The Wall Street Journal he is "among those we are considering to coordinate" the investigation. The Detroit News, meanwhile, is reporting he could be hired "in the coming days." Takata, the Japanese seatbelt and airbag manufacturer, has been the center of a defect scandal since last year. Takata is under fire for air bag inflators that can explode, shooting out metal and plastic pieces. At least five deaths and dozens of injuries have been linked to the problem worldwide. Earlier this year, Honda Motor Co., the automaker with the biggest exposure to the defective Takata air bags, was fined $70 million in the U.S. for not reporting to regulators some 1,729 complaints that its vehicles caused deaths and injuries, and for not reporting warranty claims. It was the largest civil penalty levied against an automaker. Should he take the role, Kelly would be at the fore of an investigation being assembled by an alliance of ten automakers, which includes the Detroit Three and Honda. Toyota first suggested a joint investigation back in December, The Journal reports. Kelly's goals, meanwhile, will be many. The Detroit News reports that questions abound regarding not only the recalled airbag inflators and the conditions that cause them to fail, but the whether the replacement units will have similar problems in the future. The automaker committee is far from the only one analyzing the airbag issue. Takata has assembled its own panel, led by former Secretary of Transportation Samuel Skinner, while NHTSA's deputy administrator, David Friedman, has brought in an outside engineering firm to investigate the inflators, The Detroit News reports. Separately, on Friday Takata Corp., the Japanese seatbelt and air-bag maker at the center of a defect scandal, is expecting more red ink for the fiscal year through March. It is projecting a 31 billion yen ($264 million) loss, worse than the previous forecast for a 25 billion yen ($214 million) loss, despite higher sales expected for the fiscal year. Ten automakers have recalled about 12 million vehicles in the U.S. and about 19 million globally for problems with the air bags.
