2002 Honda Accord SE Coupe with only 123000 miles. These cars will run for 300000 miles easily, so there's plenty of life left in this one! It has a 4 cylinder engine which runs strong and is good on gas mileage. I bought this car for my daughter two years ago for her commute to college. When we first bought the car the transmission had a strong jerk between 1st and 2nd gears. To be safe, we bought a rebuilt transmission and had it installed. The rebuilt trans now has only about 15,000 miles on it. It shifts smoothly with no jerks. The engine runs very smooth as well. The A/C is cold, the heat is hot. There may be a small leak in the power steering, because I have to add fluid about once a month. There is an under hood belt which squeals, you can hear it, but its not too loud. The suspension is good, it takes bumps in the road with ease. The factory stereo with AM/FM radio/ cassette/ CD player works as it should.

As far as appearance there are dings and scratches consistent with a car this age, 11 years old. I would rate the cosmetic appearance as a 6 out of 10. The carpet has stains. The driver seat is torn, but all other seats are pretty decent. The door locks work fine and we have a keyless remote, which works fine. The power moonroof works fine. The power windows work, but to you are unable to raise the passenger window from the driver's side. You can lower it from the driver side switch, but you must use the switch on the passenger door to raise it. If you live in Pennsylvania, this car has a valid state inspection which doesn't expire until April of 2014. The mileage may increase slightly because my daughter is still using the car locally.

I have attempted to describe this vehicle as accurately and honest as possible. If you have any questions before placing your bid, don't hesitate to ask. My feedback is 100% because I treat potential buyers as I wish to be treated.

Vehicle is being sold as-is, there is no warranty written or implied with this sale. All sales are final. A non-refundable $250 Paypal deposit is due within 24 hours of auction closing. Full payment is due within 7 days from close of auction. The balance due must be cash or cashier's check. No shipping is available, local pick-up only.

2015 Honda Civic Type R prototype

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

With a name like Earth Dreams, you'd be forgiven for assuming that Honda's new family of turbocharged VTEC engines is more about environmental credentials than performance. And to a large degree they are - particularly in 1.0- and 1.5-liter forms. But the 2.0 is another beast altogether.
Thanks to a high-output turbocharger, direct injection, a high-performance cooling system and, of course, variable valve timing, Honda's new 2.0-liter four produces upwards of 280 horsepower while still complying with upcoming Euro 6 emissions standards. Although actual output has yet to be confirmed, that preliminary figure already compares favorably with the Ford Focus ST (252 hp) and Mazdaspeed3 (274 hp) and rests comfortably in between the Volkswagen GTI (270 hp) and Golf R (296 hp).
Although Honda has already shoehorned the smaller 1.5-liter turbo four and 1.0-liter turbo three-cylinder engines into an Acura ILX and another Civic hatchback, the home it gave the 2.0 betrays more than an engine swap. What you see here is essentially the next Civic Type R, following a long line of Honda hot hatches. With this latest model, the Japanese automaker is targeting the front-drive lap record at the Nürburgring that belongs to the Renaultsport Megane Trophy and before that, to the lightweight Megane R26.R. A tall order, to be sure, so we headed to Honda's R&D center in Tochigi, Japan, to take it out for a ride.

Honda previews S660 roadster ahead of Tokyo debut

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Honda isn't known for making convertibles. In fact, legend has it that old man Soichiro banned them from his lineup - but then he also didn't approve of six-cylinder engines, either. There have been exceptions, like the Civic del Sol and S2000, and today Honda has revealed another.
Set to debut at the forthcoming Tokyo Motor Show in late November is the Honda S660 concept, a compact little roadster about which Honda is saying even less. It looks about the size of a Kei car, with a nameplate that suggests a 660cc engine, making it more of a revival for the 1990's Beat than the high-end S2000. And while there are some clear similarities with the EV-STER concept that debuted two years ago in Tokyo, the S660 looks closer to production-ready, with key features like an actual steering wheel.
Of course, whether the S660 makes production, and beyond that makes it off of the Japanese islands and across the Pacific to US showrooms, is another matter, but we could see something like this taking the fight to the Mazda MX-5 and even the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ if it did.

Honda reports $1.9 billion profit in first quarter despite sales lag at home

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have been living in a world of sunshine and buttercups after their April-through-June financials hit the newswire, and Toyota is doing pretty good as well. Honda? Not so much.
While Japan's third-largest manufacturer saw $1.9 billion in profits, the 5.1-percent jump was lower than expected thanks to a drop in its home-market sales. US sales also took a sting, as Honda hasn't been able to match the SUV and truck demand that are currently permeating the American market, despite an uptick in Accord sales.
Honda's initial forecasts targeted a take of 209.3 billion yen ($2.1 billion at today's rates), and while a $200 million shortfall is nothing to sniff at, we'd hardly take this as Honda being in trouble. And even with the dip, Honda hasn't adjusted its forecast for the fiscal year, which remains at 780 billion yen ($7.9 billion).
