Hi there,

You are bidding on a 1997 Honda Accord Value Package edition. The car will be sold "As Is". I currently use the car to drive to and from work (less than 5 miles). The engine and transmission are in good shape. The car has a lot of miles on it but if you know Hondas, they are equipped to go well beyond 300,000 miles. I have even know a few people to hit 500,000 miles. The car has 18 inch rims which are aluminum. It also has projector headlights which are just awesome. This is an excellent car if you like to add extras. I am selling it because I need more room because of my family. Yes!!! It does have Air Conditioning that works. The tires on the front are slightly bigger than the tires on the back. The back tires are 215 35R 18 and the front tires are 225 45R 18. I have had the car for 2 years. Since I have had it I changed the oil every 5 months because I use synthetic oil and that lasts somewhat longer than conventional oil. It has a K&N air filter which never has to be replaced. You just clean and charge it when you get a tune up. Speaking of tune up, the car was tuned up 2 months ago (plugs, wires and oil change). I had the upper ball joints replaced on the front passenger side about 3 months ago. I also had the wheel bearing changed on the front passenger side recently. If you notice on the pictures on that same side up front there is a spot where paint is missing. I had the car painted about a year and a half ago. Last summer someone scraped against it while parking. There are a few spots on the body in other places that could be touched up. The interior definitely needs a good detailing. The seats and the front floor would benefit from some deep cleaning. The car makes a vibrating noise when you first pull off after it has been sitting for about a half an hour. I am not sure what it is that is loose. I had the fenders tightened. I also replaced two of the engine mounts. I I will have my mechanic look into it further between now and the time that the car is purchased. The sound goes away after you drive for about 15 seconds. I had the starter changed about a week ago. The heating core went bad about a month ago. I did not replace it, so that is something that will need to be replaced before the winter so that you will have heat. It does leak oil a little bit. I had the valve cover gasket replaced when I had the tune up. It also needs windshield wipers. If you are the winner you are welcomed to bring a mechanic and inspect the car thoroughly. There is a notary right down the street from where I live so that the title can be signed over correctly.

2016 Honda Civic colors and interiors leaked

Mon, Sep 28 2015

UPDATE: Honda enthusiast forum Temple of VTEC also reported the 2016 Civic color information. We're just a short time away from our first test of the new Honda Civic, which should be when we get the full slate of details. We are, however, impatient and imagine that you are, too. That's why we're stoked about a discovery from 10thCivicForum.com, which shows the entire interior and exterior color slate, along with their specific combinations. There will be nine exterior paint colors, including some that fans of the current Civic will be familiar with. Taffeta White, White Orchid Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic (shown above), are all carry overs from the current-gen four-door, while Rallye Red is an addition from the current two-door Civic. Other colors can be found on other products in the Honda catalog, including Lunar Silver Metallic from the Accord and Aegean Blue Metallic from the Fit. New shades include Cosmic Blue Metallic and Burgundy Night Pearl. Every color will be offered on every trim, except for Taffeta White, which is only offered on the basic 2.0-liter LX model. The interior colors are, of course, more predictable. You can choose from black, gray, or ivory. Exciting, we know. You can check out the entire color matrix, which breaks down which interior colors pair with which paints on the entire Civic range, over at 10thCivicForum.com. Check it out, and keep an eye out for our first drive of the latest Civic Sedan, coming soon.

Honda audit says Takata manipulated airbag inflator data

Wed, Jul 20 2016

Takata is already feeling the pressure of being tied up in the automotive industry's largest recall ever, which affects millions of vehicles worldwide, but an ongoing audit by Honda recently revealed that engineers manipulated airbag inflator test results. According to a report by Reuters, the audit found widespread manipulation of test results, but showed no safety risks for vehicles that were not involved in the recall. The audit, which Honda claims started last October, examined Takata-made airbag inflators and was led by former IIHS president Brian O'Neil. According to Automotive News, O'Neil found that Takata engineers had removed test results to make airbag inflator performance more favorable. In an interview with Automotive News, O'Neil stated that the audit results indicated that engineers selectively edited results to make the reports, which were given to Honda, shorter and prettier from the supplier's standpoint. So far, the automaker has received preliminary information from the first phase of the audit, with Honda and US regulators getting a full report later this week. There's no word on how much Takata will have to pay to fix the faulty airbag inflators, but some automakers have decided to drop the supplier for another source. The New York Times also reports that Takata CEO Shigehisa Takada would be stepping down after the company becomes stable. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
