Non Smokers & No Pets This is a Beautiful Vehicle that was seldom driven. Wife's vehicle for in town trips! There is a bit of minor bubbling in the paint along the edge of the inside of the hood otherwise no visible signs of rust or problems with the paint.
Excellent Condition ~ Always Well Taken Care Of! There is a notation about this having an accident reported which was a surprise to us! So we contacted the dealer we purchased this from and they sent us a copy of the CarFax report which is more specific and shows that the damage was so minor it wasn't even repaired for 2 years. We believe it must have involved the bumper as there is no sign of any repair work done on the body of the vehicle and definitely no color paint difference which would definitely show with this limited edition paint. We were so surprised (and upset) when we saw that ebay accident notation that we once again looked the vehicle over very carefully, even though we knew if there had been any color difference in the paint we would have noticed it. We can't see any signs of repair anywhere on the vehicle & with the color change special paint that is on this vehicle I believe it would definitely show! A copy of the CarFax report can be e-mailed to anyone interested in seeing it. The only flaw is the outside bumper has a tear in the hard rubber. We listed this as a classified ad on eBay as mentioned above & on that ad we were able to download 23 photos. It's item number 321006334110 so you may just be able to put that number in the ebay search bar too. It shows a lot more different views and the bumper cover rip. The interior is in great condition as well as the outside. No dents or dings. There may be a stone chip here or there. We actually have the touch up paint from the dealership but we didn't get a chance to look it over & see if there are any places that need it. We really like this vehicle and have treated it with TLC! Fantastic vehicle! Comfort, Function and Styling! Will Spoil You! Nicely equipped with features such as AWD. Color Changing Paint Color from Deep Blue to Teal. Leather Interior in Pewter Gray. Sunroof. As a note, there is a divet out of the rubber protector on the back bumper which I've included a photo of. It's just cosmetic. Doesn't affect the bumper at all. And there is some crackling in the chrome side trim that I've tried to show. We have the original window sticker and it states: STANDARD EQUIPMENT: Mechanical Features:

Here are some statements from a review: Safety features abound. Four-wheel discs with ABS and dynamic brake proportioning promise good braking performance under all conditions and regardless of load. Hydroboost brakes provide power assist even if the engine stalls. Dual-stage frontal airbags are standard, of course, and side-impact airbags are available. Comes with a tire-pressure monitor. Traction control comes standard on 2WD models. StabiliTrak stability control is available. A 5.3-liter V8 powers the Yukon. Comes with an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission. Both the 1500 and 2500 models are available in basic SLE, or more deluxe SLT or SLT Plus trim. The base SLE model comes well-equipped with manual tri-zone air conditioning, anti-lock brakes (ABS), self-leveling suspension, CD stereo, power windows, power door locks, fog lights, tinted glass, heated outside mirrors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and alarm. Three rows of seats are standard. The front seat has six-way power adjustments for the driver. SLT is technically a package ($3,290) that adds bucket seats with leather inserts, a floor console, tri-zone automatic climate control, a nine-speaker Bose premium stereo, rear-seat audio controls, and assist steps (running boards). SLT Plus ($5,175) adds to that Ultrasoft leather seating surfaces; full-function power (including power lumbar support) for the front bucket seats with seat heaters and a two-position memory function; outside mirrors with turn indicators and ground illumination (puddle lamps); auto-dimming for the driver's side outside mirror; Driver Information Center (including a trip computer); power-adjustable pedals; OnStar; a Homelink universal transmitter (for garage doors); six-disc in-dash CD changer; XM Satellite Radio; steering wheel controls for the audio system; and the Cargo Package with cargo shade, cargo net, cargo mat, luggage rack center rails. For 2005, all Yukon models come with a station wagon-style liftgate at the rear, with a glass window that opens independently. Made of lightweight aluminum, the liftgate is convenient for quickly adding and removing cargo. Less noticeable changes for 2005 include an extended front air dam with fewer unneeded openings, and more aerodynamically friendly running boards. The bucket seats are separated by a deep center console that holds lots of stuff. The top of the console lid features a nice rubber-lined indention, handy for sunglasses and other items. Ergonomics are excellent. The cup holders are superb, a good feature for people who live and work in their vehicles. Above are well-designed map lights that can be aimed. A covered power outlet for cell phones and radar detectors is conveniently located inside the ashtray compartment. The Driver Information Center is located immediately in front of the driver, below the speedometer. It's handy and easy to use, allowing the driver to program automatic locking and other features, as well as providing trip mileage, fuel economy and other data. Hate the way the doors lock every time you shift out of Park? Annoyed that the horn blows when you lock the doors? Don't want the daytime running lamps on? Turn those features off, turn them on, or deploy them partially. Everything is programmable. A tire-pressure monitoring system continuously checks inflation pressures and flashes a warning on the instrument cluster should any tire lose air pressure. Audio and climate control systems are well designed and easy to operate. The manual heating controls that come on the base model (SLE) are nicely designed and work well. Much better, however, are the digital three-zone automatic climate controls that come on the other models. They are sophisticated yet easy to operate, and permit separate adjustments for driver and passenger. The rear heating/air conditioning controls are mounted overhead and help improve comfort for pets as well as people. XM Satellite Radio is a great option to have when traveling because the stations don't change as you drive across the country. You still get ads, but fewer and less obnoxious ones than you hear on FM. Audio controls on the steering wheel make it easy to switch among station presets and modes, among other things. Program the AM, FM1, FM2, XM1, and XM2 bands and you can quickly zip to your favorite stations without taking your hands off the wheel. XM Satellite Radio is nice to have around town for listening to the 24-hour news (CNN, NPR) and sports broadcasts (ESPN, NASCAR), or for staying tuned into your favorite types of music (classical, jazz, '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s). Buttons for Homelink, which can open garage doors and gates, and turn on house lights. AutoRide is an optional suspension package that automatically varies shock damping according to driving conditions. Whether riding empty, carrying a full load of people, or towing a trailer, AutoRide continually adjusts the suspension for optimum ride and handling. This technology also helps reduce dive on braking (so that the nose of the vehicle doesn't dip down unduly) and body roll (lean) during cornering. GM earnings rise 1% as buyers pay more for popular pickups
Thu, Aug 1 2019DETROIT — General Motors said Thursday that higher prices for popular pickup trucks and SUVs helped overcome slowing global sales and profit rose by 1% in the second quarter. The Detroit automaker said it made $2.42 billion, or $1.66 per share, from April through June. Adjusting for restructuring costs, GM made $1.64 per share, blowing by analyst estimates of $1.44. Quarterly revenue fell 2% to $36.06 billion, but still beat estimates. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $35.97 billion. Global sales fell 6% to 1.94 million vehicles led by declines in North America and Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. The company says sales in China were weak, and it expects that to continue through the year. In the United States, customers paid an average of $41,461 for a GM vehicle during the quarter, an increase of 2.2%, as buyers went for loaded-out pickups and SUVs, according to the Edmunds.com auto pricing site. The U.S. is GM's most profitable market. Chief Financial Officer Dhivya Suryadevara said she expects the strong pricing to continue, especially as GM rolls out a diesel pickup and new heavy-duty trucks in the second half of the year. "We think the fundamentals do remain strong, especially in the truck market," she said, adding that strength in the overall economy and aging trucks now on the road should help keep the trend going. Light trucks accounted for 83.1% of GM's sales in the quarter, and pickup truck sales rose 8.5% as GM transitioned to new models of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, according to Edmunds, which provides content to The Associated Press. As usual, GM made most of its money in North America, reporting $3 billion in pretax earnings. International operations including China broke even, while the company spent $300 million on its GM Cruise automated vehicle unit. Its financial arm made $500 million in pretax income. Suryadevara said GM saw $700 million in savings during the quarter from restructuring actions announced late last year that included cutting about 8,000 white-collar workers through layoffs, buyouts and early retirements. The company also announced plans to close five North American factories, shedding another 6,000 jobs. About 3,000 factory workers in the U.S. whose jobs were eliminated at four plants will be placed at other factories, but they could have to relocate. GM expects the restructuring to generate $2 billion to $2.5 billion in annual cost savings by the end of this year.
Chevy Silverado edges Ram 1500 in Consumer Reports two-truck shootout
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Forget Corvette versus Viper. When it comes to important head-to-head comparisons, fullsize trucks are where domestic automakers really care. And until the redesigned Ford F-150 makes its debut, the Chevrolet Silverado is going to have plenty to brag about thanks to a new Consumer Reports shootout against the Ram 1500.
It was a tight race among these V8-powered titans, but the all-new 2014 Silverado (and its GMC Sierra twin) barely edged out Ram's updated pickup with a score of 81 points - enough to make it the institute's top-rated fullsize truck on the market. Its narrow victory over the Ram, which finished just three points back, was due to its superior fuel economy, better towing and payload capacity and conveniences like a lower step-in height, easy-to-use tailgate and rear bumper steps that make loading and unloading less of a chore.
Importantly, CR notes that buyers with less heavy-duty truck needs might actually prefer the Ram over the Chevrolet, since its high points include a smoother ride thanks to its coil spring rear suspension, dominant infotainment system with Uconnect, and a big thumbs up for the available Hemi engine and eight-speed automatic transmission.
2015 GMC Yukon Denali
Tue, 25 Mar 2014Automotive enthusiasts often wonder aloud - ourselves included - why General Motors would choose to keep GMC while sending Pontiac (and Saturn, and even Oldsmobile before it) into the great automotive graveyard in the sky. The answer, as is so often the case, is profit. It's much easier for GM to rake in money hand over fist by rejiggering the trucks, crossovers and SUVs that it would already be developing for Chevrolet and making them a bit more luxurious and *ahem* "Professional Grade" with new grilles, badges and unique packaging for GMC.
While it may sound like we're being cynical, we totally approve of GM's fullsize SUV strategy. The least-expensive way to get into the fold is with the Chevrolet Tahoe, which starts at $45,595 with a 5.3-liter V8 engine and a cloth interior. Bumping that same Chevy to LTZ trim and its $59,995 sticker price lands a much nicer leather-clad interior and more techno-bells and whistles than you can shake a stick at. But it still looks like a Tahoe, and it still comes with the smaller 5.3-liter engine. Or, you could do what we'd do: Walk into your GMC dealer and take a look at the Yukon Denali. Here's why.
