33,000 ACTUAL MILES, EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS TRUCK SHOWS THIS TO BE TRUE, THE CONDITION OF THIS TRUCK IS BETTER THAN MOST 2008 TRUCKS. 454 4-speed 4wd collectors truck. This truck was owned by 1 factory and it never left the factory as you see the sticker on windshield. It came from Reno Nevada where nothing rusts. When it arrived here last summer it had 0 rust on it, even where the scratches were, I live in a valley in KY by a creek so any rust on truck did not start untill it got here about 2 years ago. The truck had a utility bed and side crane on it, I sold the bed on ebay which you can see by typing item # in search tab, item #200676336131,also clicking on my name=lbfarm, click=see all feedback, click=feedback as seller and scroll down, you will see bed, buyer said on feedback that bed was in excellent condition with no rust at all. You will also see many other high dollar items bought sight unseen and all were pleased, I am an honest seller. Your are buying the truck that had this bed all of its life, I installed a very nice heavy duty flatbed that came off a 2004 chevy. The truck has a 454 with NO blowby at all and runs like new with NO sludge in engine. The trans is a 4 speed muncie that is very tight, 1st and rev are not synchronized, Same trans in your older camaros and transam's. This truck is everything a collector would want, if you could buy a 1961 truck in this shape ten years ago at 1/4 of its value now, that was all original would you?, tell me what this truck will be worth 10-20 years from now all in original condition. Or if you just want a truck "like they use to build them" that is "like it is only a few years old" by miles and shape then buy it and work it. If you park this truck in a garage and dont touch it in 10 years you will have a collector truck NOT RESTORED BUT ALL ORIGINAL. You can tell by the video's I will add what we really have here. The tires and brakes are like new. Everything works perfect, 70 mph it drives smooth for a dually. NEVER any smoke. Original seat, paint, etc etc. No cracks in glass, there are a few minor scratches and dents but never any paint work and no rust on cab anywhere. This truck is all that and you will be impressed with it when you get it. I have a clear title in hand with no lein. NO RESREVE and I will not sell it before end of auction. Dont be the one calling me after auction saying you will buy it for more and should have bid. It sells to highest bidder. I dont think you will ever see a truck like this one in this good of shape with what this has to offer. Its like it is only a few years old. Watch the videos, look at the pictures, call for inspection 9am-7pm est 502-484-8276 but dont miss the ending night which is Friday 03/22/2013 aroung 8pm est. You will not be offered a truck like this ever again, think about it. I have a loading dock if need to save on shipping. I am selling it because I have several other trucks and do not have a place inside to store this nice of a truck and it will only sit down here and rust, This should be in a collector's auction and I would love see it in 10-20 years from now, I am going to miss it. Thanks to all bidders

GM expected to debut two new crossovers at Detroit Auto Show
Thu, Dec 15 2016Next month, General Motors is expected to debut two new crossovers at the North American International Auto Show. That's according to Automotive News and The Wall Street Journal, which reports that the successors to the aging Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain will finally make their debut. The two crossovers have been on sale since 2009 and 2010 respectively and are due for updates as the competition has newer models on the market. Both crossovers play in growing market segments where sales success is crucial for the respective brands. GM, and the automotive industry as a whole, has been shifting its focus towards crossovers in the last few years. The Traverse and the Terrain are some of the oldest SUVs on the market and are in dire need of an update. GMC's Acadia, the former corporate clone to the Traverse (and Buick Acadia), switched to a new platform in 2016. And the Terrain's platform-mate, the Chevrolet Equinox, was revealed a few months ago. Both the new Chevy and GMC models are expected to go on sale late in 2017 as 2018 models. Look for a follow up to the Traverse's sister, the Buick Enclave, to make an appearance soon. 5 reasons why GM is cutting jobs, closing plants in a healthy economy
Tue, Nov 27 2018DETROIT — Even though unemployment is low, the economy is growing and U.S. auto sales are near historic highs, General Motors is cutting thousands of jobs in a major restructuring aimed at generating cash to spend on innovation. It's the new reality for automakers that are faced with the present cost of designing gas-powered cars and trucks that appeal to buyers now while at the same time preparing for a future world of electric and autonomous vehicles. GM announced Monday that it will cut as many as 14,000 workers in North America and put five plants up for possible closure as it abandons many of its car models and restructures to focus more on autonomous and electric vehicles. The reductions could amount to as much as 8 percent of GM's global workforce of 180,000 employees. The cuts mark GM's first major downsizing since shedding thousands of jobs in the Great Recession. The company also said it will stop operating two additional factories outside North America by the end of next year. The move to make GM get leaner before the next downturn likely will be followed by Ford Motor Co., which also has struggled to keep one foot in the present and another in an ambiguous future of new mobility. Ford has been slower to react, but says it will lay off an unspecified number of white-collar workers as it exits much of the car market in favor of trucks and SUVs, some of them powered by batteries. Here's a rundown of the reasons behind the cuts: Coding, not combustion CEO Mary Barra said as cars and trucks become more complex, GM will need more computer coders but fewer engineers who work on internal combustion engines. "The vehicle has become much more software-oriented" with millions of lines of code, she said. "We still need many technical resources in the company." Shedding sedans The restructuring also reflects changing North American auto markets as manufacturers continue to shift away from cars toward SUVs and trucks. In October, almost 65 percent of new vehicles sold in the U.S. were trucks or SUVs. That figure was about 50 percent cars just five years ago. GM is shedding cars largely because it doesn't make money on them, Citi analyst Itay Michaeli wrote in a note to investors. "We estimate sedans operate at a significant loss, hence the need for classic restructuring," he wrote. The reduction includes about 8,000 white-collar employees, or 15 percent of GM's North American white-collar workforce. Some will take buyouts while others will be laid off.
