Priced to sell! This is a 1976 GMC 4 Door 1 Ton Dually in good condition. I bought this truck 4 years ago from a guy that had used it hauling race cars to local tracks. I have been told that the engine had been re-done presumably by that person and it runs great. You can tell when it is running that it has had a slightly larger cam put in along with an edelbbrock intake manifold. It is a Big Block 454 and has a 4 barrel carburetor, plenty of engine power. It has dual exhaust with mufflers and sounds great. The odometer shows 69,300 and I'm not sure if that is actual miles or not since it only reads in the tens of thousands not hundreds. The title just shows exempt on the mileage. Since I have had the truck, it has been re-painted both inside and out, the seats have been recovered in black vinyl, and the floor has been covered in a roll in bed liner. The insert bed liner has kept the inside of the bed in great shape over the years. I have replaced the radiator, starter, alternator, and battery all within the last several years so you shouldn't have to worry with those going bad anytime soon. The air conditioner had been un-hooked before I purchased and although I thought I would hook it back up I never got around to doing it. As shown in the picture, the Air-conditioning unit is still attached to the firewall. It has the brake adjustment built in and ready to pull any trailers with electric brakes. It also has a hitch with the capability of pulling any camper or any trailer. Someone had installed the rails to a fifth wheel into the bed but I never used them nor is there a fifth wheel hitch with the truck. The rails are under the bed liner. All of the outside lights work on this truck and looks great of a night. The four doors have been a great use allowing additional storage room and room for others to ride. The back seat does flip up allowing minor storage behind it. It has two gas tanks and both work with the flip of a switch under the dash. I have installed a new Sony cd player/radio with two 6x9 Sony Xplode speakers with a remote and they sound good. The dash had been re-covered before my purchase and the head-liner had also been replaced as well. The truck looks good, especially considering the paint is only a few years old. It has had an aftermarket grill put on it, louvered hood, windshield overhang, chrome window rain guards, and a new steering wheel all of which add to the appearance of the truck. There are a few places where the paint has chipped off such as around the back window and right above the rain guards (see picture) which would be typical. The truck is not show quality but it does look good with no major flaws. I wanted the truck to look good while being able to perform the work duties without worrying about every little thing. The truck has had 2 coats of base paint and 4 coats of clear coat. There are some rust spots working their way through on both chrome bumpers (see pictures) but overall this truck looks great rolling down the road. I probably only put about 3,000 - 4,000 miles on this truck each year. I tried to list everything I could think of, but if you have any questions, or would like more pictures of anything specific, don't hesitate to call (812) 631-2914 and ask for Derek or send me an email message. If you are a first time buyer, call or email before bidding just to confirm that you are a serious buyer and not a scam. I will accept paypal, cashiers check, or cash. I do have this truck sitting out locally and reserve the right to cancel this listing if sold before the auction ends. Thanks for bidding and I'm sure whomever gets the truck will enjoy it.

Man on meth steals truck (and goat) from adult video store, police say
Thu, Jan 2 2020A man who was allegedly high on methamphetamine carjacked a pickup truck with a sleeping passenger inside it and a goat in the bed, pistol-whipped the passenger and then led police on a low-speed chase before finally being caught on foot and arrested, police say. It began early on New Year’s Day outside an adult video store in Carthage, Missouri, which is near Joplin in the stateÂ’s southwestern corner. Reports say Brandon Wayne Kirby, a 40-year-old from Mannford, Oklahoma, stole the truck after the driver had gone inside the store but while the passenger was sleeping. When the passenger woke up, he saw a masked man driving and pointing a gun at his head. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Police say Kirby drove the GMC Sierra Heavy Duty Duramax diesel through parts of Missouri, Kansas and into Oklahoma, holding the passenger against his will. At some point, the passenger told police, Kirby ingested meth, pistol-whipped him and continued to threaten him with the gun. The passenger said Kirby eventually let him and his pet goat out on the side of the road in a rural area, which is when he was able to call 911. Police then called OnStar, which tracked down the stolen Sierra HD and slowed it down to around 15 mph. Police eventually used stop sticks to flatten the truckÂ’s tires in the city of Sand Springs and later had to nudge the truck into a ditch to end the low-speed vehicle chase. But Kirby at that point got out of the truck and fled on foot through the woods, dropping his mask and gun, which were both later recovered by police. Kirby was jailed and had charges listed as kidnapping, pointing a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm. HeÂ’s reportedly wanted in another county in Oklahoma for burglary and has multiple felony convictions for assault, burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle, according to KTUL-TV in Tulsa. The passenger and goat were transported back to the Creek County SheriffÂ’s Office. The Sand Springs Police Department said on Facebook: “OK 2020, it only took you 4.5 hours to get weird. Let's slow down on the carjacking-goatnapping calls for the remainder of the year.” Related Video:
2017 GMC Acadia loses 700 pounds, gains everywhere else
Tue, Jan 12 2016Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Acadia. The 2017 version of the three-row GMC crossover has all kinds of newness. The 2017 Acadia has lost 700 pounds compared to its predecessor thanks to high-strength steels allowing redesigned parts, and the fact that it overall, the vehicle is actually smaller. Length is reduced by 7.2 inches on a wheelbase diminished by 6.4 inches, it is 3.5 inches narrower and sits 3.9 inches lower. The 2016 Acadia was 4,656 pounds, the 2017 is 3,956 pounds. GMC says it will still swallow people, but not as many: the eight-passenger option didn't make the transition, potential three-row trims permitting five-, six-, and seven-passenger configurations. While you lose space, you gain convenience with a split-folding second row featuring tilt-and-slide for both sections. The third-row seats fold flat into the cargo floor, and if the second row is folded as well, cargo capacity improves over the 2016 Acadia, 79 cubic feet compared to 70 cu-ft. A new 2.5-liter four-cylinder brings a second engine option to the spec sheet, returning an estimated 22 city miles per gallon and 28 highway mpg with the help of stop/start tech on front-wheel-drive trims. The new 3.6-liter V6 gets around 310 horsepower, a power bump of about 19 hp, and an estimated 25 highway mpg in front-wheel-drive guise. Towing capacity for that V6 goes down, though, from 5,200 on the current Acadia to an estimated 4,000 pounds. The optional Tow Vision Trailering system will make that pulling easier. Both engines are hooked to a six-speed automatic. Now we can get to its looks. Trademarks like the square, flared wheel arches, dark D-pillars, and wraparound rear side windows made the transition, everything else is new. While weight has gone down, safety's gone way up with internal changes like the splayed chassis members to confront the small-offset test. New active safety upgrades run from from three kinds of automatic braking systems to surround vision cameras, automatic high beam control, a safety alert seat, and a following distance indicator. Buyers can choose from a front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, or All Terrain model, each with its own electronic drive selector modes. The Normal, Sport, and Trailer/Tow modes are common to the trio. The FWD gets a Snow mode, the AWD adds adaptive 4x4 and Off Road modes; on the AWD, the 2x4 mode disconnects the rear axle from the drivetrain.
How the Ram Multifunction Tailgate compares to Ford, GMC, Honda
Wed, Feb 6 2019Ram just announced its Multifunction Tailgate — a descriptive if not very creative name. It's an asymmetrical barn-door arrangement, which can both fold down like a conventional tailgate or swing open like a gate. There's a new bed step, but unlike Ford or GM, the step isn't part of the tailgate itself. Rather, it kicks out from under the bumper (as opposed to out from under the driver's side of the rear bumper in its previous incarnation). So let's just focus on the tailgate functionality. A video of the Ram Multifunction Tailgate in action is above. For one, either of the swinging tailgate sections can be opened independently. They open to a full 88 degrees. In conventional flip-down mode, the tailgate works just like a normal one, too, with a 2,000-pound rating. The bottom line is that while it gives a variety of types of access to the load area, it doesn't "do" anything else. It's a $995 option on any Ram 1500. Its closest analogue is the Honda Ridgeline, which works basically the same way, but on that truck the tailgate swings as one piece. And the Honda's load rating isn't as hefty as the Ram's tailgate: 300 pounds. As Honda says, that's sufficient to hold the weight of the part of an ATV hanging out of the bed, or something similar, but it's a lighter-duty unit (and a lighter-duty truck) than the Ram's overall. Let's also get Ford's one-trick tailgate out of the way before comparing to the more analogous, and complicated, GM MultiPro. A bit of trivia: Ford's optional Tailgate Step is actually designed and supplied by Multimatic, better known as the outfit that builds the Ford GT and produces the DSSV spool-valve shocks. This step has been available for years. It pulls out of the top edge of the tailgate when the tailgate is lowered, deploying a single step. A separate handle pulls out from beside the step and flips up, giving a handhold. While it was initially (and infamously) mocked by competitors, with load floor heights as high as they are it's better than toting around a stepstool. It's currently a $375 standalone option. Now we get to the GMC MultiPro tailgate, the most complicated and multi-functioned around. It's essentially a tailgate within a tailgate, with a fold-out stopper that deploys from the inner tailgate. This gives it several functions depending on the position of all the parts. It can still be used like a normal tailgate, dropping down at the push of a button or using the key fob.
