For sale we have a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT 4x4. This truck was a recent trade in at the chevy dealer. The truck has a clean carfax report with no accidents. The truck runs and drives great. It features the reliable 6.6L Duramax Turbo DIESEL motor. The engine fires right up and it sounds solid and super healthy with lots of power and so much torque to move or pull just about anything. The 6-speed automatic allison tranny shifts perfect thru out all the gears with no issues. The 4x4 engages in and out from a push off a button with no problems. The truck drives very good down the road, front end is tight, suspension handles great, tires have lots of tread left on them, the bed has a bed liner, frame is solid, brakes are firm and rotors do not pulsate. Outside body is good for its miles with few nicks and marks here and there which is normal for a truck this age. Interior has the SLT trim with all the options inside. Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015

Tue, Feb 11 2014

Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.

2023 GMC Sierra prices up, start at $38,995 for Sierra Pro Regular Cab

Sun, Dec 4 2022

It was only 90 days ago that GM Authority, typically a reliable source in these matters, reported on pricing for the 2023 GMC Sierra lineup before official numbers were released. Those early figures were apparently just placeholders. Now that GMC's uploaded the full 2023 configurator for the 2023 Sierra, not only are MSRPs higher except on the base trim, the destination charge has risen from $1,795 to $1,895. The sticker prices including destination and their changes from those late August sums are: Sierra Pro Regular Cab Standard Box 2WD Turbo 2.7L I4 L3B $38,995 ($1,025 less) SLE Double Cab Std Box 2WD Turbo 2.7L I4 L3B $52,095 ($1,100) Elevation Double Cab 2WD Turbo 2.7L I4 L3B $53,795 ($1,200) SLT Crew Cab Short Box 2WD 5.3L V8 L84 $57,795 ($1,300) AT4 Crew Cab Short Box 4WD Turbo-diesel 3.0L I6 LZ0 $68,595 ($1,495) AT4X Crew Cab Short Box 4WD 6.2L V8 L87 $83,595 ($3,395) Denali Crew Cab Short Box 2WD 5.3L V8 L84 $67,595 ($1,095) Denali Ultimate Crew Cab Short Box 4WD Turbo-diesel 3.0L I6 LZ0 $82,940 ($745) The Sierra's price bumps ranging from $745 to $3,395 come in tandem with the prices of the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado going up anywhere from $800 to $1,800. The $3,395 MSRP boost on the Sierra AT4X skews the price curve because of extra equipment. GMA reported in July that the standard AT4X would inherit parts from the Sierra ATVX AEV created in collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles. That's what's happened. A revised grille with gloss black and dark nickel trim, AEV front and rear bumpers with increased approach and departure angles, a hot-stamped hardened steel front skid plate inflate the cost and give the ATX4 a little more capability off-road. The equipment list also narrows the gap from the regular AT4X to the AT4X AEV, the latter going just a bit further with four more skid plates, AEV's Salta wheels, and a smattering of black trim around the body. We're still waiting for official pricing on the AT4X AEV. The image above shows shows how similar both trucks will look when the AEV arrives, with the standard AT4X on the left, the AT4X AEV on the right. GMC Hummer EV fan's Lego build is functional and even has Crab Mode

Tue, Jun 8 2021

Lego creates some pretty amazing automotive models, but the Lego hobbyist community sometimes does better. Evidence of that comes to us in this fully-functional GMC Hummer EV Lego Technic model spotted by Road & Track and created by YouTube user Alain B. And while it's a one-off for now, there is the possibility it could become a kit you could bring home. As you can see in the video, the model looks the part with a body that closely matches the real thing. It's an impressively solid body, too, something that's sometimes difficult to achieve with Technic pieces. But that's only the tip of the iceberg. It's also got electric motors and is remote controlled. It has four-wheel-steering that can emulate the Hummer's famous Crab Mode setup. The fully independent suspension can raise for more ground clearance. And on top of all of that, it's even got a fully operational MultiPro tailgate and front trunk. The design is also listed on the Lego Ideas page. This is the site where Lego builders can submit their creations, and if they get enough votes, they'll be considered by the company for becoming a real production kit. You can visit the page at this link to lend your support (it doesn't cost anything). That page also reveals some other neat details, including the fact that it's made of about 2,200 pieces. While enough votes will get the design to be considered by Lego, there are other factors that determine whether it makes production. Some of them include getting the license from General Motors, and other undisclosed reasoning. But Lego has done a number of large, technical and somewhat pricey kits with licensing from other companies. So this seems like a great one for the company.
