4x4 New Goodwrench 350 Automatic Chevrolet Chevy Lifted 33" Tires on 2040-cars
Sacramento, California, United States
I am selling my buddies Federal 1976 4x4 GMC Sierra pick up truck. He is 73 years old and can no longer hop in and out of the truck. Has a brand new 350 goodwrench engine. Engine was replaced 21,000 miles ago. Transmission was rebuilt 3200 miles ago. Mechanically the truck is in awesome shape. All electrical seems to work great. All gauges and lights and blinkers all work. Both fuel tanks switch back and forth. Frame and underside seems to have been painted up nice and looks great. Has 33" tires. Previous owner before my buddy put chevrolet body parts on this truck. Drives straight down the road and would make someone an excellent truck. You can see by the pictures it is a nice truck but if you are picky and want this to be a show truck, it will need cosmetic tlc. As is now, its a great manly truck ready for a new man! This is a great truck that will drive anywhere. Please ask any questions
This truck is for sale in as is condition in Sacramento County located in California. No warranty on this truck. This is a classic truck and you should be familiar with classic vehicles before purchasing. A deposit of $500 will be due within 24 hours of the auction closing to my paypal account. Bank wire or cash in person is my only two other ways of payment. Final payment is due within 7 days of auction closing. Out of state bidders. This is a great truck that will serve you well. California residents only. I will not smog this truck per California law. It will be sold as a parts vehicle if you are winning bidder from California. This is a federal truck so there is A LOT less smog equipment to go through. Federal trucks are not required to have a smog pump, charcoal canister or catalytic converters. Federal trucks have dual exhaust as well, which is legal. I normally don't sell any smog cars and refuse to deal with it. My buddy has zero interest in the truck after having 3 surgeries in 2013. |

GM to offer 2 years free maintance on most 2014 models
Thu, 06 Jun 2013A day after Ford announced it was scaling back the complimentary maintenance program for its Lincoln brand, General Motors has gone in the completely opposite direction, offering most of its 2014 lineup with free maintenance. Since 2011, Cadillac models have all come with a four-year/50,000-mile complimentary maintenance program, but Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles will now come standard with free maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles for the 2014 model year.
The program will give vehicle owners and lessees free oil changes, tire rotations and 27-point inspections following the recommended maintenance schedule laid out in each vehicle's owner's manual. We contacted GM to see which vehicles were eligible for the program, and a spokesperson got back to us with the following comment:
"All 2014 models are eligible, it's just that the included services vary by model, e.g., Spark EV would not need oil changes, Corvettes don't recommend tire rotations."
Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015
Tue, Feb 11 2014Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition goes dark, looks good
Fri, 19 Sep 2014Forget about the so-called sporty Chevrolet Silverado Rally Edition. If you want a General Motors pickup with some added style, this one looks like a more cohesive, well-done package to our eyes (though it's also not "sporty," despite GM using that term over and over again). It's called the GMC Sierra Elevation Edition, and it hits dealerships later this year.
For its more stylish truck, GMC has fitted the 2015 Sierra Double Cab with a body-colored grille surround, door handles, mirror caps, side moldings and bumpers. The truck also rides on black 20-inch aluminum wheels.
The Elevation Edition, which GMC contends qualifies as a sport truck, comes standard with the Sierra's 285-horsepower, 4.3-liter V6, though buyers can opt for the more powerful 5.3-liter V8 with 355 hp. Other standard goodies include OnStar with 4G LTE connectivity and Bluetooth, all housed in the 4.2-inch Intellilink color display.
