2003 GMC SIERRA QUAD CAB 4X4 DURAMAX DIESEL REGENCY CONVERSION

I WAS VERY HESITENT TO LIST THIS TRUCK. IT HAS BEEN ONE OF THE BEST TRUCKS I HAVE EVER OWNED IN MY LIFE, BUT I AM MOVING UP TO A 1 TON. I HAVE DRIVEN FROM ONE END OF THIS COUNTRY TO THE OTHER IN THIS TRUCK DELIVERING CLASSIC AND MUSCLE CARS. I BUMPER PULLED MOST OF THEM WITH A ONE CAR TRAILER AND A 24' ENCLOSED. IT DOES HAVE A HIDDEN GOOSENECK BALL HITCH.

THE TRUCK PULLS LIKE CRAZY (WITHOUT A CHIP). I HAVE SERVICED THIS TRUCK RELIGOUSLY FROM BUMPER TO BUMPER. FRONT END IS REBUILT,  A/C IS REBUILT, DUAL EXHAUST AND IT HAS FOUR NEW TIRES. ENGINE HAS NO BLOW-BY, NO SMOKE AND NO WIERD NOISES. THERE IS NO WARNING OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON.

BODY IS VERY NICE WITH A FEW NICKS , DINGS, AND SCRATCHES....VERY FEW!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TRUCKS YOU'LL SEE. IF YOU LIKE TO SNEAK AROUND TOWN WITHOUT BEING NOTICED...DON'T BUY THIS TRUCK!  I HAVE BOUGHT NEW CENTER CAPS FOR THE WHEELS AND THEY WILL BE INSTALLED WHEN THE NEW OWNER RECIEVES IT.

LEATHER INTERIOR IS PART OF THE REGENCY CONVERSION ALONG WITH THE OTHER GAUGES. I DON'T KNOW OF ANYTHING THIS TRUCK NEEDS. PUSH BUTTON 4X4 WORKS GREAT. I AM ALWAYS INTERESTED IN SWAPPING FOR DIESEL TRUCKS, HOT RODS, MUSCLE CARS AND OLD TRUCKS.

GMC considers adding more vehicles to broaden product line

GMC is considering expanding its product portfolio in the next 10 years to allow it to reach more potential buyers and grow sales, a top executive said Monday. The small and midsize sport-utility-vehicle segments are two possibilities, said Duncan Aldred, GMC sales and marketing vice president. He also said GMC won't make a car, preferring to reinforce its reputation as a maker of trucks and SUVs. "There's plenty of opportunities even if we define ourselves as a we do as a truck and crossover brand," he said. He wouldn't comment on the possibility of adding a Jeep Wrangler-fighter, though rumors have swirled for months that GMC is considering a product to compete with the iconic off-roader. "I can't confirm that ... everything's on the table," he said. He also said that it's possible GMC could get a unique set of underpinnings – all of its vehicles share platforms that are also used by Chevrolet – but it's not needed to differentiate his brand. "I'm very happy sharing underpinnings and everything else," he said. "All of the good-performing automakers do that." Speaking to journalists at a roundtable at General Motors headquarters in Detroit, Aldred said GMC received an investment from GM that is double what the brand has historically spent to fund its growth plans. Advertising spending alone will increase 50 percent this year compared with 2014. The brand rolled out a new ad campaign on Monday, called "Precision," that will underscore attention-to-detail and the premium features of GMC vehicles. Two of the commercials have a sporting theme, and the third focuses on modern menswear. GMC called it a "contemporary interpretation" of the brand's traditional positioning, and it will also continue to use its long-running "Professional Grade" tagline. The premium positioning of the ads come as buyers are increasingly outfitting their trucks as near-luxury vehicles. The percentage of buyers opting for the top-end Denali trim has increased from 17 percent in the middle of 2014 to 21 percent now. The goal is to get Denali to make up 25 percent of GMC sales by the end of 2017, Aldred said. Spurred by the higher Denali take-rate, the brand's transaction prices leapt by $3,000 last year. "It's [Denali] really kind of this jewel in the crown," Aldred said. GMC sales increased 11.3 percent in 2014 to 501,853 units, making it GM's-second-best-selling brand behind Chevrolet.

GM is training more first responders for EV emergencies in the U.S. and Canada

GM is training more first responders to be able to handle emergencies involving electric vehicles. The automaker is "significantly expanding" its EV First Responder Training program in the United States and Canada as electric vehicle sales continue to grow. Its initiative will primarily focus on training firefighters and equipping them with the necessary knowledge about full electric vehicle technologies. GM says it's hoping to dispel misconceptions when it comes to handling EVs in emergency situations. One of those misconceptions is that water is dangerous around EV batteries — turns out the recommended way to put out lithium-ion battery fires is by using copious amounts of water.  Andrew Klock, a senior manager of education and development at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), said: "The best way for the public and private vehicle fleet owners to rapidly adopt EVs is to train firefighters and emergency responders on how to handle incidents involving battery powered vehicles. The fire service has had more than 100 years to gain the knowledge needed to respond to internal combustion engine fires, and it is critical that they are now educated on EV safety." The NFPA held trainings of its own that had benefited 300,000 first responders, but it believes more than 800,000 members of the community still need further training.   GM previously piloted the program in southeast Michigan, but now it's conducting training events across Michigan and in Fort Worth, Texas, as well. Later this summer, it's bringing the program to metro New York City and Southern California. Participants will have to attend four-hour sessions, with up to two per day, held in various venues, such as fire houses and dealerships. Interested first and second responders can register through the program's dedicated website and earn a certificate from the Illinois Fire Service Institute if they score higher than 70 percent on the learning assessment by the end of their training.  The automaker already has a few EV models on the market, including the Chevy Bolts, the GMC Hummer EV and the Cadillac Lyriq. It has huge electrification plans for the future, though, and training responders could help make potential customers more receptive to the idea of switching to electric vehicles. 370,000 new Silverado and Sierra pickups recalled over fire risk

General Motors announced late Friday that it will recall around 370,000 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra fullsize pickups from the 2014 model year over a possible fire risk. The recall covers select 4.3-liter V6 and 5.3-liter V8 models, which can evidently suffer engine compartment fires due to the overheating of exhaust components. GM notes that the fire issue may be preceded by a check engine light and an "engine power reduced" message on the driver information display.
Thus far, GM is aware of eight fires stemming from this problem (although only three of those incidents affected customer-owned vehicles), and all of the fires were reported in areas with "very cold weather." GM is urging owners to not leave their vehicles unintended while idling. No injuries have resulted from the fires in question.
The Detroit-based automaker has pledged to start mailing out recall letters on January 16. The fix, which involves software reprogramming, is estimated to be a 20-minute repair, and will be made free of charge.
