THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL 2002 GMC SIERRA QUAD CAB DIESEL, NOT A BEAT CONSTRUCTION RIDE, THIS WAS FAMILY DRIVEN.

I PURCHASED IT IN 2005 FROM MY LONG TIME MECHANIC WHO BOUGHT IT NEW FOR PULLING HIS 5TH WHEEL.

HE LENT ME HIS TRUCK TO GET LUNCH WHILE MY RIDE WAS BEING SERVICED, I GOT BACK AND SAID WHEN YOU ARE READY TO SELL IT, I AM YOUR BUYER!

HE CALLED A YEAR LATER AND I WROTE THE CHECK.

I DROVE IT DAILY, AS WELL AS SEVERAL FAMILY TRIPS TO FLORIDA, TEXAS, GEORGIA, OVER A 4 YEAR PERIOD.

23MPG MADE IT AN EASY AND COMFORTABLE CHOICE TO DRIVE.

IN 2009 I PURCHASED A 1 TON CHEV SILVERADO DIESEL, AND MY WIFE TOOK OVER DRIVING THE 2002 GMC.

SHE LOVED DRIVING IT, THE POWER, SECURITY, BOTTOM LINE, WITH THE 4 INCH STAINLESS EXHAUST, AND CHROME EVERYWHERE, SHE WAS THE BADDEST BLONDE ON THE ROAD!

I BELIEVE IN MAINTAINANCE, THIS TRUCK WAS TAKEN CARE OF AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES.

MOST RECENTLY, I HAD IT IN FOR SOME SERVICE AT MY LOCAL GMC DEALER TO FIX A LEFT REAR VALVE COVER GASKET. AT THAT TIME I HAD THEM DO A LEAK DOWN TEST ON THE INJECTORS, THEY ALL TEST 99% ACROSS THE BOARD.

I DID HAVE THE ORIGINAL INJECTORS REPLACED AT 100,000 MILES UNDER GM WARRANTY, NO ISSUES, BUT THEY CLAIM THE ORIGINAL BOSCH INJECTORS HAD A SHORT LIFE, AND GM WAS PAYING FOR NEW ONES, SO I HAD IT DONE.

THE STARTER WAS REPLACED IN THE PAST 30 DAYS, AS WELL AS TWO NEW BATTERIES.

I HAD BOTH FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS REPLACE, THE PITMAN ARM WAS GETTING SLOPPY, SO THAT WAS ALSO REPLACE.

THE TIRES ARE NEW, AS WELL AS THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS.

THE TRUCK IS A 6 PASSENGER, WHICH HAS COME IN HANDY ON SEVERAL KID HAULING TRIPS.

THE BED IS RHINO LINED.

THERE IS A LIKE NEW TONNEAU COVER AS WELL AS THE COLOR MATCHED TOPPER.

IT ALSO COMES WITH THE PREDATOR PROGRAMMER.

I HAVE A 40 GALLON AUXILLIARY FUEL TANK/TOOL BOX IN THE BED WITH REMOTE CONTROLLED FUEL TRANSFER.

THE TOTAL FUEL CAPACITY IS 66 GALLONS AND AT 23MPG, YOU CAN TRAVEL 1500 MILES BETWEEN FUEL STOPS.

THIS TRUCK NEEDS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, BUT A NEW HOME.

WHY AM I SELLING IT YOU ASK?

I BOUGHT MY WIFE A MERCEDES GL320 DIESEL, FOUND IT ON EBAY 45 DAYS AGO AND SHE LOVES IT.

WE CURRENTLY HAVE 9 VEHICLES AND 3 DRIVERS, I AM OUT OF ROOM AND GARAGE SPACE.

THE TRUCK IS LOADED WITH OPTIONS.

I THINK I COVERED EVERYTHING, BUT IF I MISSED SOMETHING, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME A CALL AT 847-756-7600.

GMC Canyon Denali Interior Review: THE luxury midsize truck

Fri, Jan 5 2024

Over the past couple of years, GMC has been getting serious about being more than just a rebrand of Chevy trucks and SUVs. The same goes for the luxury Denali line. Among the beneficiaries of this push for differentiation is the latest Canyon. On top of only being available with the wide-track layout and the most powerful engines, it gets a Denali trim that is unequivocally the most luxurious midsize truck in the segment. The GMC Canyon Denali could even be described as a luxury midsize truck, of which there are no others. And it all comes down to what GMC has done with the interior. Open the door, and the upgrades are immediately obvious. There's leather everywhere. It's on the dash, the door panels, center console and doors. And it has nice details with the perforation and quilted stitching. The seatbacks get embroidered Denali logos and contrasting leather panels, too. The feel is more rugged than supple, but it is a truck after all, and the materials feel like they'll wear nicely.  Then you notice the wood trim. The real wood trim. It's subtle, just adorning a strip along the top of the dash and the front door panels, but the light brown color stands out against the black leather and plastic elsewhere. It's got a natural, open-pore finish that highlights the material, and the strip in the dash gets extra laser-cut details. The branding consisting of DENALI, some stylish strakes and the coordinates of Denali, the mountain, are crisp and clear. Throw in plenty of shiny chrome, and the same quality-feeling buttons and knobs (the knurling details on the knobs are particularly nice), and just on trimmings alone, it's obvious the Denali is the most plush little truck. The seats themselves are solid, though not particularly exceptional. The front seats are a bit flat, but they're also very roomy. On the Denali, the driver's seat has eight-way power adjustability with memory, and the passenger has six-way power adjustability. Heating and ventilation are included, too. Leg, head and shoulder room are also all excellent up front. The rear seat, like the rest of the segment, has enough room for adults, though legroom is a tad tight, with knees likely brushing the front seat backs. The seat bases in the rear are split with storage underneath, although it's not particularly useful. Besides its meager volume and awkward shape, much of it is taken up with the jack.

GMC Sierra EV AT4, Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss caught in spy photos

Tue, Jul 9 2024

We've known for a while now that GMC and Chevy have been working on AT4 and Trail Boss versions of their respective Sierra EV and Silverado EV pickup trucks. But we're getting our best look yet at them with these spy photos. They give us a better idea of what body changes there will be, as well as a close-up of the tires, giving us their size and type. Some basics of off-road trim levels are obvious to spot. Both trucks feature bright red recovery hooks up front. But beyond that, there isn't much different from the outside of either truck compared to the base examples of each. The front bumpers are basically the same profile as the base bumpers, with the exception of the recovery hooks. The Silverado has natural black plastic fender flares, whereas the GMC has body color examples with integrated marker lights. They both get the same standard side steps, and the rear bumpers also appear unchanged. Each of these is equipped with the MultiPro/Multi-Flex tailgate. Chevrolet Silverado EV Trail Boss prototype View 14 Photos Really the biggest change appears to be in the wheels and tires. Each of them have unique designs, but they have the same dimensions. They're 18-inch wheels with 285/75R18 tires. That comes out to just shy of 35 inches in diameter, a good size of tire for an off-roader — and note how it doesn't even look all that large on such big trucks. Said tires are Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT all-terrains. The gas-powered trucks come with slightly narrower (275) mud-terrain versions as standard. Both of these trucks should start somewhere below the range-topping first edition models the two brands are currently marketing to the public, which hover between $95,000 and $110,000 depending on specification. The Silverado WT does start at just under $80,000, and we would expect the Trail Boss and the Sierra EV AT4 to come in somewhere above that, possibly between $85,000 and $90,000. Specifications are a mystery. It seems likely that at least the Silverado will get the WT's dual motors with 510 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque. The GMC could potentially get the more powerful motors making 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque as a way to differentiate itself, though this is speculation. The 204-kWh battery pack is probable, though there are rumors that at least GMC is going to start offering a smaller, more affordable 170-kWh pack that could be an option.

GMC considers adding more vehicles to broaden product line

Tue, Mar 3 2015

GMC is considering expanding its product portfolio in the next 10 years to allow it to reach more potential buyers and grow sales, a top executive said Monday. The small and midsize sport-utility-vehicle segments are two possibilities, said Duncan Aldred, GMC sales and marketing vice president. He also said GMC won't make a car, preferring to reinforce its reputation as a maker of trucks and SUVs. "There's plenty of opportunities even if we define ourselves as a we do as a truck and crossover brand," he said. He wouldn't comment on the possibility of adding a Jeep Wrangler-fighter, though rumors have swirled for months that GMC is considering a product to compete with the iconic off-roader. "I can't confirm that ... everything's on the table," he said. He also said that it's possible GMC could get a unique set of underpinnings – all of its vehicles share platforms that are also used by Chevrolet – but it's not needed to differentiate his brand. "I'm very happy sharing underpinnings and everything else," he said. "All of the good-performing automakers do that." Speaking to journalists at a roundtable at General Motors headquarters in Detroit, Aldred said GMC received an investment from GM that is double what the brand has historically spent to fund its growth plans. Advertising spending alone will increase 50 percent this year compared with 2014. The brand rolled out a new ad campaign on Monday, called "Precision," that will underscore attention-to-detail and the premium features of GMC vehicles. Two of the commercials have a sporting theme, and the third focuses on modern menswear. GMC called it a "contemporary interpretation" of the brand's traditional positioning, and it will also continue to use its long-running "Professional Grade" tagline. The premium positioning of the ads come as buyers are increasingly outfitting their trucks as near-luxury vehicles. The percentage of buyers opting for the top-end Denali trim has increased from 17 percent in the middle of 2014 to 21 percent now. The goal is to get Denali to make up 25 percent of GMC sales by the end of 2017, Aldred said. Spurred by the higher Denali take-rate, the brand's transaction prices leapt by $3,000 last year. "It's [Denali] really kind of this jewel in the crown," Aldred said. GMC sales increased 11.3 percent in 2014 to 501,853 units, making it GM's-second-best-selling brand behind Chevrolet.
