1977 GMC High Sierra 3/4 ton 4x4. Has a 6.6L 400 cu. in. motor, runs great, starts every time, with no oil leaks. Replaced the turbo 350 transmission about 1000 miles ago, so it shifts smooth and is in good condition. It has also had the radiator and alternator replaced within the last two years. Has 4:10 gears, so truck has good low end power, but isn't going to win any drag races. Has a 6 inch body lift, with 315 75R16 tires that have about 75% tread left on American Racing wheels with manual lock-out hubs. 4-wheel drive works great. Mechanically this truck is very strong and runs great. To my knowledge, there aren't any mechanical issues that need attention. The original bed was replaced with one from a 1983 chevy, and the entire truck was repainted about 15 years ago, and is still rust free. That being said, it does have some dings and scratches, and the body, mainly the paint, will need some work in the next few years to keep it looking really nice. Interior is in really good condition, especially for the age, and being that it hasn't been fully restored. Buyer will be fully responsible for pickup of vehicle. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

2023 GMC Canyon with ZR2-style off-road suspension caught in spy photos
Wed, Jul 7 2021GMC appears to be testing its redesigned 2023 Canyon pickup with an updated suspension lifted from the ZR2 variant of its Colorado twin. This heavily camouflaged prototype packs what look like Multimatic's DSSV dampers disguised with a black vinyl wrap. Rumors have pointed to a GMC variant of the Colorado ZR2 since the midsize pickup adopted the AT4 branding for its off-road variant. GM appears to be ready to adopt the formula for GMC's more-upscale pickup as it has for the Silverado. The latter, which has now been officially confirmed, has been spied on the road with its own DSSV shocks disguised in the same fashion as those seen here. This prototype is riding high – even for an AT4 – and sports a set of knobby Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain tires. We can tell that this is a Canyon rather than another Colorado thanks to the GMC-style fog lamp design, which differs from the Colorado prototypes we've already seen testing. Like the Colorado, the redesigned Canyon is expected to be offered with just one engine: a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder lifted from the Silverado and Sierra pickups. Look for the Canyon to debut alongside its Chevy twin sometime in the next year or two as either a 2023 or 2024 model. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. GMC looks to space with the Hummer EV Omega Edition
Fri, May 5 2023The Hummer EV is nothing if not outlandish. Everything about it is over the top, from its size to its weight, but the folks at GMC felt it needed something more to stand out. Enter the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Omega Edition, an enormous matte blue vehicle with unique features and an exclusive price tag. The special edition builds on the 3X truck and SUV models with a unique Neptune Blue Matte paint color and black exterior trim pieces. It also brings an off-road package, exclusive 18-inch wheels, the MultiPro tailgate with a Kicker audio system, unique interior carpeting, and a transparent roof. In addition to the wheels and 35-inch mud-terrain tires, the off-road package brings underbody skid plates and additional off-road camera views. GMC said it took inspiration for the Hummer EV from the “endless expanse of space,” which is likely true since the vehicle is about as efficient as a Saturn V rocket. Interestingly, the automaker is using the Miami Grand Prix as the launchpad for the EV, offering 0-60 sprints to invited attendees at the event. The Hummer EV Omega Edition Pickup gets a 24-module battery and starts at $149,995, while the SUV gets a 20-module battery and a $139,995 starting price. The hard-to-get EV is exceedingly rare in its standard form, and the Omega Edition is only available to existing order holders, so itÂ’s unlikely any of us will see the unique blue 'ute anytime soon. Despite its ridiculousness, the Hummer EVÂ’s wait list extends into multiple years for some buyers. GMC took thousands of orders and only built 1,000 units in March, so you can see how wait times quickly pile up. That said, production nearly doubled between February and March, giving hope to impatient order-holders. ItÂ’s not possible to place an order at this time, so if you donÂ’t have a reservation already, it might be time to look at a different EV. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. GM issues CUV stop-sale due to Goodyear tires [UPDATE]
Thu, Jan 22 2015UPDATE: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that only 6,281 tires were installed on the CUVs, when in actuality, there were 6,281 CUVs affected by the stop-sale order, totaling 25,124 tires. The story has been edited to reflect this. General Motors has issued a stop-sale order on some 6,300 of its Lambda platform crossovers due to a pending recall on their 18-inch Goodyear Fortera HL tires. The affected vehicles include all three flavors of GM's large CUV platform, consisting of the 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave. Goodyear is recalling a total of 48,500 Fortera HL tires after discovering "very small" cracks in the tread, found during internal testing. Of the affected tires, 32,100 were made for GM, Goodyear told Automotive News. According to GM, 6,281 CUVs were fitted with the questionable rubber, totaling 25,124 of the company's 32,100 tires. The remainder were stocked as replacements, a GM rep told Autoblog. The remaining 16,400 tires were built specifically for the aftermarket. Goodyear reports that the cracks do "not indicate a safety issue." Meanwhile, a GM spokesman told AN that stop-sale "will eventually lead to a non-compliance recall by GM."
