This is a 1985 GMC Sierra 1500. This truck was originally built for racing. I have spent the past two years pouring my heart, sweat and tears into restoring it. It has a a new 350 4 bolt-main, a 4 barrell edelbrock carb, an edelbrock intake and a accel HEI super coil, chrome air filter, a brand new 4 speed transmission, 26" Iroc rims and tires, a pioneer cd player and pioneer 6x9 door speakers custom install. The interior of the truck is red and white. Everything has been wrapped and I custom installed some ghost lights on the driver and passenger side doors. When you open the doors the light displays the GMC emblem on the ground hence it shows up clearer and brighter at night. I have also installed all new gauges and bulbs in the dash.  I have receipts for new engine, new transmission and other parts for the truck.  I will gladly make copies and give them to you.

It has 4 brand new pro comp chocks and has been lifted. It has a new chrome grille, chrome light housing, parking lights, and horns. Almost all of the parts have come from LMC Trucks. It has a new radiator, pulley and all new parts installed on the new engine. It has headers and sounds GREAT!! It has heat and blows very well. Since it was a race truck it does not have any equipment for air conditioning, but you can buy the parts and install it. All the holes needed are on the engine block for mounting the a/c compressor bracket. It has a black bed liner and I might get it resprayed to cover the light wear from use. I was in the process of ordering red seat belts for the truckas this is one of the last details the truck interior needs. I have grown to love this truck, but I am trying to purchase another vehicle. AGAIN  speedometer states  at or around 88,953, but I have put a new engine in the truck.  So accurate mileage should start at 88,000.

GM trademarks 'GearOn,' possibly for pickups

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

On May 27, a week before General Motors applied for a trademark for the word "Zora," GM filed a trademark application at the US Patent and Trademark Office for "GearOn," characterized as a "truck bed cargo system comprised of tiered storage cross rails, utility rack stanchions, cargo dividers and cargo tie down rings."
We have no idea what it will be or if we'll see it used on anything, but GM Authority reckons it could be GM's name for a pickup truck feature to rival the BoxLink system Ford introduced on the 2015 F-150. BoxLink has been described as having "dozens of configurations of stowable cargo ramps and lockable die-cast aluminum tie-down cleats," giving owners the ability to arrange the bed in they way they need and load unwieldy items like motorcycles without needing extra equipment.
Getting purely speculative, a month ago GM pickup truck engineers said there would be more and more regular updates for the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra starting next year. Beyond the suspected capability and fuel economy changes GearOn could be one of the "neat things coming in a whole host of areas."

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.

Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon midsize pickup trucks to get diesel engines

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

The market for midsize pickup trucks has all but been abandoned in the US, but General Motors is about to shake the market up with the all-new (to the US) Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. Launching next year, GM already told us that its new trucks would be a "fuel-efficient alternative" to fullsize trucks, and aside from the smaller size, Automotive News says that these trucks will accomplish this with a diesel engine.
According to the AN report, the next-gen Colorado and Canyon will offer a small, four-cylinder Duramax turbo diesel with a displacement of either 2.5 or 2.8 liters - both engines are currently used in this truck for other markets. This would allow GM to join the Cummins-powered Nissan Titan and Ram 1500 EcoDiesel as the only non-HD trucks in the US to offer diesel. The article goes on to say that the diesel versions of the Colorado and Canyon would launch about a year after the trucks go into production in fall of 2014.
