Hello and thanks for viewing this auction. Please read the ad in full before bidding, buying, or asking questions. Please be serious about bidding. The truck is located in Ventress, La. which is about a half hour West of Baton Rouge.

This is a 2005 GMC Sierra. The truck is equipped with the 5.3L V8 engine and automatic transmission. IT RUNS EXCELLENT, AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS PERFECTLY. It has no rust, no oil leaks, no water leaks, no drips of any kind. Bottom of truck is dry. I do see that the heater hoses are off. I assume the heater core leaks.

The outside has quite a few dings and scratches. I have tried to picture all defects. Front two tires are like new. Rear two have 50% or better tread. Tool box in bed. Aftermarket grill and leveling kit.

The inside is in good shape, but has some flaws. The seats are not torn or worn out. The carpet is not torn or stained up. The headliner, like most of these, is starting to come off by the driver's door. Some of the gauges, like most of these, need rebuilding... rpm, oil pressure, etc. The handle that holds the rear door glass closed is broken.

The air condition blows ice cold. Power windows and locks work great. Stereo works great.

**Please note that the truck has a reconstructed title for water damage. I do not know when it occurred, nor where the water level was... if it had any at all. There are some areas around Louisiana where all vehicles in that area were issued a water damaged title. The truck has more than a few cosmetic flaws. However, I see no indication of anything even slightly resembling water damage.

Mechanically very sound. Engine, transmission, rear end, etc.

*****PLEASE NOTE*****

I REQUIRE A $500 DEPOSIT DUE IMMEDIATELY AT THE AUCTION END THROUGH PAYPAL. NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE. THE BALANCE IS DUE AND THE TRUCK MUST BE PICKED UP IN NO LATER THAN 7 DAYS FROM THE AUCTION END. THIS TRUCK IS SOLD AS-IS. YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO COME AND INSPECT BEFORE BUYING OR BIDDING. TRUCK IS LOCATED 30 MINUTES FROM BATON ROUGE. SHIPPING IS THE RESPONSIBILTY OF THE BUYER.

GM reportedly recalling select 2014 Silverado, Sierra pickups over airbag issue

Sun, 21 Jul 2013

General Motors is recalling 843 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Crew Cab pickups, due to a fault with the vehicle's airbags. According to GM, the airbags may not inflate properly in the event of a crash. There haven't been any crashes or injuries associated with this recall, which is always good. Naturally, repairs will be free of charge, and GM will begin contacting affected owners soon.
GM has a lot hanging on the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Not only is it banking over $12,000 per vehicle on these trucks, as reported by Automotive News, but GM is counting on the Sierra and Silverado to take the fight to cross-town rivals Ford and Ram. The F-150 and Ram 1500 have been on a tear over the past few years, with fresh updates, advanced powertrains, and plenty of solid press while the GM trucks have been waiting for the 2014-model-year upgrades.
It's still entirely too early to judge the Sierra and Silverado, particularly as those 843 recalled trucks make up barely two percent of the over 40,000 units moved so far. But, as AN rightly states, these trucks are the most important vehicles to come out of GM since bankruptcy, with about 60 percent of global profits relating to pickups and SUVs. Starting an introduction of such a big product with a recall, however small, is not the preferred way to do things.

2019 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE spy shots show new bumpers and tailgate

Mon, Mar 12 2018

When the new 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 debuted two weeks ago, GM's truck division showed off just the two top trims, SLT and Denali. While the Denali might be the flagship Sierra, it's not likely to be the volume seller (though Denali models makes up almost a third of total GMC sales). These new spy shots show off the midrange SLE trim. It takes a more conservative, toned-down appearance compared to its brash brethren. The most obvious visual changes come at the front and rear. That big grille remains, but there are just three horizontal bars rather than the busier design from the SLT or Denali. The fog lights have been removed, too, though the C-shapped LED accent in the headlights has carried over. Out back, the SLE trim makes do without the trick MultiPro tailgate (it's limited to SLT and Denali models). It also has a different bumper as the exhaust exits just behind the right wheel. Badging on the fenders indicates that the truck has the updated 5.3-liter V8, meaning it's paired with an eight-speed transmission. The 6.2-liter V8 gets the new 10-speed auto. A 3.0-liter diesel inline-six will be available sometime down the road. GMC hasn't announced pricing, fuel economy or power ratings, but expect to see something in the next few months. GMC Sierra electric pickup previewed, will launch in Denali trim

Wed, Dec 15 2021

An electric GMC Sierra Denali is coming, and this is our first look at the fully-electric pickup truck. It’ll be the second electric pickup from GMC, following the Hummer EV pickup that is about to launch. GMC didnÂ’t reveal much about the EV, but it did say that the electric Sierra will launch exclusively in Denali trim. That means you shouldnÂ’t expect to buy any cheaper versions of the truck in the immediate future. Denali is extremely popular among GMC buyers, though, so this being the exclusive offering probably wonÂ’t hurt GMCÂ’s sales prospects too badly. Beyond the trim, GMC also says the truck will be built on the Ultium platform, which is a given these days for new electric GM vehicles. As for the image and teaser video (see the video below), GMC gives us a fairly clear view of what the electric SierraÂ’s front end will look like. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. ItÂ’s no surprise to see the “grille” has been transformed into a shield of sorts. That shield is then flanked by a pair of giant LEDs that wrap around the edges of the top front corner. The turn signals are also previewed, as they blink in three-dot fashion on the front bumper. We can also see some fairly aggressive hood sculpting shrouded in shadow. And thatÂ’s about it. GMC says the electric Sierra will be fully revealed next year, but doesnÂ’t provide an exact date. We already know the electric Silverado is coming to CES in January, though, so we suspect many questions about the GMC version will be answered then. When the electric Sierra does come out, GM says it will be producing them at its assembly plant in Detroit and Hamtramck, MI. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
