COSMETICALLY THE INTERIOR IS STILL IN GOOD SHAPE IT DOORS HAVE A CUSTOM MADE COVER ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DRIVERS SEAT OTHER THAN THAT INTERIOR IS NICE. NOT A LOT OF OPTIONS IT WAS A WORK TRUCK SO IT HAS VINYL FLOORS AND CLOTH SEATS. MANUAL WINDOWS AND LOCKS. IT DOES HAVE A/C.

THIS IS A 2004 GMC SIERRA 1500 4X4 EXTENDED CAB 4X4. IT IS A 4 DOOR THE EXTENDED CAB DOORS OPEN BACKWARDS ON BOTH SIDES. IT HAS A GREAT RUNNING 5.3 V8 ENGINE. AUTOMATIC TRANNY SHIFTS SMOOTH AND IT HAS THE 4X4 WITH THE LEVER ON THE FLOOR NOT PUSH BUTTON. THE FRONT TWO TIRES WERE NEW ABOUT 8000 MILES AGO AND IT HAD AN ALIGNMENT DONE AT THAT TIME RECIEPT IS IN THE GLOVE BOX. JUST INSTALLED NEW FRONT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS AND CHANGED OIL ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO AND NEW REAR BRAKES AND ROTORS 1/26/13. THIS IS A GREAT RUNNING AND DRIVING TRUCK THAT MECHAINCALLY IN GREAT SHAPE. AS STATED THE FRONT TIRES ARE COOPERS AND THEY WERE NEW 8K MILES AGO. THE REARS ARE STILL IN DECENT SHAPE.

THE TRUCK DOES HAVE SOME NICKS AND DING MAINLY ALONG THE TOP OF THE BED RAIL ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE. AND SOME MINOR DAMAGE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE EXTEND CAB DOOR AND BEDSIDE IN FRONT OF THE TIRE DOWN NEAR THE BOTTOM I THINK MOST OF IT COULD BE TAKEN OUT WITHOUT PAINTING IT IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND THE ROCKERS SHOW A LITTLE SURFACE RUST. COULD EASILY BE CLEANED UP NOT BAD YET.

ALL I CAN SAY IS ITS A GREAT RUNNING TRUCK THAT DRIVES DOWN THE ROAD REAL NICE. IT DOES HAVE THE FACTORY TOW PACKAGE.

Fri, Jan 17 2020

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and Assistant Editor Zac Palmer. They kick things off by talking about recent news, including the revival of the Hummer name as an electric pickup, revealing Ford Bronco spy shots and the unveiling of the 2021 GMC Yukon. Then Zac tells about his time in Las Vegas attending CES 2020. They talk about the cars they've been driving: a JCW-tuned Mini Clubman, the long-term Subaru Forester with its new gold wheels, a Volvo S60 PHEV that's been added to the long-term fleet, and a Camry Hybrid. Last, but not least, they help a listener decide how to spend his money on a sports car. IIHS gives good ratings to 4 of 8 midsize pickups in crash test

Wed, Sep 6 2017

Versions of the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon Crew Cab earned top ratings in a new crash test of midsize pickup trucks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, while two versions of the Nissan Frontier earned marginal ratings. But the organization gave poor marks to all eight pickups tested for their dim headlights. Overall, four of the eight pickups evaluated earned good ratings for protecting occupants in all five crash test categories — the Tacoma double cab along with crew cab versions of the Colorado, Canyon and Tacoma. But the poor headlights and lack of an automatic emergency braking system blocked any of the pickups from qualifying for the IIHS's Top Safety Pick awards. The study looked at two pickup body styles using 2017 models: crew cabs, which have four full doors and two full rows of seating, and extended cabs, which have two full front doors, two smaller rear doors and compact second-row seats. It subjected each to five tests, and it evaluated the performance of front crash prevention systems and headlights. The Toyota Tacoma crew cab was the only pickup in that class that earned a good rating for structure in the small overlap test, which replicates what happens when a vehicle clips a tree, pole or another vehicle that has crossed the center line. The model's Access Cab extended-cab version was rated similarly, though its structure was rated acceptable. "This group of small pickups performed better in the small overlap front test than many of their larger pickup cousins," says David Zuby, the Institute's executive vice president and chief research officer. "The exception was the Nissan Frontier, which hasn't had a structural redesign since the 2005 model year." The extended-cab versions of the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon earned acceptable ratings, while both the Nissan Frontier king-cab and crew-cab models were rated marginal. Toyota says its 2018 Tacoma will feature upgraded headlights and a standard autobraking system that can detect pedestrians. "Headlights are basic but vital safety equipment. Drivers shouldn't have to give up the ability to see the road at night when they choose a small pickup," Zuby said. 2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
