1990 Gmc K1500 Custom Paint And Bumper, Aftermarket , New Engine And Trans on 2040-cars
Thurmont, Maryland, United States
Up for sale is a 1990 GMC k1500. It is a short bed regular cab. The
engine is a jasper 350 with about 35k on it and the trans was used from a
junkyard. That being said everything shifts good and the truck runs
awesome. The truck has a custom grille and front bumper with blue fog
lights. It looks very cool. Truck is not lifted or anything. Has a newer
rear bumper. Has newer tires with about 85% tread. 4wd works great.
Aftermarket 2in cowl hood. Has a flowmaster muffler and it sounds really
good. Interior is pretty nice, seats look great but the headliner could
use redone. Has carbon fiber inserts on the doors, dash, and gauge
cluster. The bed has a colonel bed liner cover and it also has a targa
top for it. New drivers side mirror. Power windows power locks ac and
heat both work very good. Has cruise control. Has an aftermarket radio.
Has in bed led lights wired to underneath the dash. New battery.New
steering column and rear shackle. Truck was taken very good care of. The
paint is new but the clear coat is peeling off the hood and some rust
has came about on the fender wells. The rust is not ridiculous but it
could use some attention. The underneath is pretty good, small surface
rust but nothing bad like the fenders make out. HAS HAD REAR BRAKE LINE
REPLACED. This is a very common spot where the brake line rubs thru on
these trucks and its very hard to replace. It was replaced about 2 weeks
ago with a brand new line and i wrapped it very thick with electrical
tape and put heater hose where it rubs, should be good for a very long
time. Brake lines also were replaced on various parts of the truck.
Overall it is a very very nice vehicle and perfect for a first car or
just an extra 4wd in the winter months. Clean and clear title in hand.

Weekly Recap: Auto execs face life in prison for recall delays under proposed legislation
Sat, 09 Aug 2014
The stiff punishments are part of broader transportation legislation, but clearly McCaskill has automakers in her sights.
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill threw down the gauntlet this week, proposing a bill that could send auto executives to prison for life if they were found to have delayed a recall. She also wants to eliminate the limit for fines for auto safety violations, which are currently capped at $35 million.
2022 GMC Hummer EV No. 001 at Barrett-Jackson brings $2.5 million
Mon, Mar 29 2021This year's Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Ariz., played host to a bunch of the first examples of hot new cars: VIN No. 001 of the 2022 GMC Hummer EV, 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing and CT4-V Blackwing, 2021 Ford Bronco, 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 and 2021 Ram 1500 TRX. Every single one of them sold for more than six figures, with all the proceeds of nearly $5 million going to charities, but the big winner was absolutely the Hummer with a hammer price of $2.5 million. The Bronco did nicely, too, with a selling price of $1,075,000. You can see the list of the sale prices from highest to lowest of these first examples below. GMC Hummer EV: $2,500,000 Ford Bronco: $1,075,000 Ford Mustang Mach 1: $500,000 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition: $410,000 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing: $265,000 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing: $165,000 Despite the Hummer going for $2.5 million, it wasn't the most expensive car to cross the block. That honor goes to a 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake that was once owned by Carroll Shelby himself. It sold for $5.5 million, the same price it sold for back in 2007. Nearly as pricey as the Hummer was a restored, numbers-matching 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 that went for $2,475,000. Related video:
11 vehicles from Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas worth watching
Fri, 26 Sep 2014This weekend will see the world's collector car crowds descend on Las Vegas, NV for one of the biggest shows on Barrett-Jackson's popular auction circuit. There are hundreds of vehicles up for bidding, ranging from a brand-new Lamborghini Aventador to a spattering of Art Deco classics and a huge swath of classic muscle cars.
While it's virtually impossible to assemble an inarguable list of the best cars coming during the three-day, 700-plus vehicle auction, we've sifted through the listings for this year's show - it was a tough assignment, we promise - and assembled a list of what we think will be some of the most interesting lots. We'll admit, it's a bit heavy on American iron, but if you browse BJ's listings, you'll come to a similar conclusion. Still, scroll down for our list of what we think will be the most interesting vehicles at the upcoming auction.
