I am trying to get rid of my toy as I no longer have time for it. The overall condition is, it's old, it has some problems but runs very well! 4X4 Works like a champ, never gotten stuck and this hauls everything I've put in the bed.

This was a Top of the Line truck back in '87. (Even for todays standards it has some extra options)
Power Windows (Both work)
Power Locks (Never bothered to fix)
Cruise Control (Works like a champ)
A/C (Compressor leaks, holds charge for a few months depending on use)
Radio is good, it is stock and old
Engine leaks, but runs great, maybe add 1qt between oil changes
Block heater works great (Rarely wouldn't start in the winter when it was used, even before I changed the plugs)
Exhaust is in the process of being fixed, currently only one muffler on it, was planning on putting 2 glass packs on which I'll throw in with the truck, you can use them or take them back to Advance Auto for credit
Tires have about Half Tread left

Has Manual Locking Hubs, no longer has the Auto-locking hub set. The front differential and hubs work well and change over very easily.

It has minimal rust, only around the rear wheel wells and bottom cab corners. The odometer Has flipped, it only reads 91,128 miles, but it has 191128 miles.

I've replaced a slew of parts, the most recent:
Glow Plugs
Fuel Filter
Driver window motor/regulator (New motor, refurb regulator)
Both rear drive shaft U-Joints
Rebuilt the rear brakes (New shoes, drums, springs and wheel cylinders)
High Beam Switch
Both Batteries
Changed the fluid in both differentials, cleaned out and resealed as well
Changed Transmission and Transfer Case Fluid
Wipers

Mystery man buys fast food worker a new car

Tue, Apr 28 2015

A mystery man bought a Tennessee fast food worker a new car. 34-year-old Jeff Smith told WKRN he was approached by an older stranger as he was exiting a grocery store. The two struck up a conversation about Smith's 1991 Geo Storm. The vehicle is falling apart; it has more than 350,000 miles on it, a cracked dashboard, no drivers side window, and a door that is literally being held closed by a small hook. The stranger asked Smith to follow him down the road to James Motors, but then asked the fast food worker to wait outside. Smith told WKRN, "He comes back out and says, 'How do you like that blue pickup?' I said. 'It looks great.' Then he said, 'Well, I bought it and it's yours now.' [...] It's just a blessing. It's the best thing that has ever happened to me." At first, Smith didn't believe this was even real. But the owner of James Motors showed up at the fast food restaurant where he works with the keys and title to the 2001 navy blue GMC Sonoma. The mysterious benefactor didn't want to be identified, but asked smith to do something nice for someone else in the future. Weird Car News GMC geo

GMC Terrain adds AT4 trim, completing the set

Wed, Jan 15 2020

"AT4 all of the things!" is GMC's new rallying cry, as the brand has announced that the off-road-themed trim level is coming to the GMC Terrain midsize SUV. The Terrain will join the just-announced 2021GMC Yukon and the 2021 GMC Canyon midsize pickup, both of which add an AT4 variant for the first time. The model designation was introduced on the Sierra full-size pickup for 2019, and spread to the Sierra HD and to the Acadia three-row crossover for 2020. AT4 content, however, varies widely by model. In the Sierra full-size pickup, the trim level brings a full slate of off-road gear including a two-inch suspension lift, a two-speed transfer case for the 4WD system, a locking rear differential, hill-descent control, Rancho shocks, skid plates, off-road tires, and more. The Acadia AT4, meanwhile, includes little more than standard AWD, black wheels and exterior trim, and all-terrain tires. It sounds like the Terrain AT4 will be closer to the Acadia in execution, with GMC promising a black-chrome grille and exterior design elements plus "confident capability and advanced technology." Hmm. The GMC Terrain AT4 doesn't arrive until the 2021 model year, which means this fall, so more specifics, including pricing, are still to come. But GMC couldn't wait to show the Terrain AT4, which completes the AT4 family photo seen above. Related Video:

2020 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra recalled due to faulty brake component

Wed, Mar 11 2020

General Motors is recalling 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups to fix a defect in the trucks' brake system. Certain Silverado and Sierra pickups were produced with brake-caliper bolts that were not heat-treated. Without heat-treating, the bolts are weaker than they should be, and there is a risk that they could fail, which would affect the trucks' braking performance, possibly leading to a crash. In total, 20,352 vehicles are affected. Owners of affected trucks will be contacted by GM. Dealers will inspect the bolts and replace those that are defective. Related Video:
