FLOWMASTER EXHAUST. 2 OWNER RUST FREE TRUCK. PS, PB, PW, AC WITH 305 V8 AND TURBO 350 AUTO TRANS.  HAS SLIDING REAR WINDOW AND BARDEN BUMPER THAT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT  EVER HAD A BALL PUT ON IT. THIS IS A GOOD ORIGINAL TRUCK THAT SHOWS WELL FOR ITS AGE. THIS IS NOT A PERFECT SHOW TRUCK BUT A NICE LOOKING DAILY DRIVER WITH NEWER TIRES AND AFTERMARKET 16 INCH WHEELS. LOOKS LIKE AN OLD BONDO CRACK ON RIGHT SIDE OF BED(SEE PICS). PAINT LOOKS GOOD  BUT THERE ARE WEAR AND THIN SPOTS ON TAILGATE FROM WAXING OVER THE YEARS BUT VERY PRESENTABLE. JUST NOT PERFECT, IT IS 28 YEARS OLD! A/C BLOWS COLD AND HAD BEEN CONVERTED TO R134 FREON.

THE BAD: COMES WITH SALVAGE TITLE (IN MY NAME) DUE TO ELECTRICAL SHORT AT ALTERNATOR THAT MELTED THE INSULATION OFF SOME WIRES. ALL ITEMS WERE REPAIRED, NOTHING PAINTED OR COVERED UP TO PROVE IT WAS A MINOR INCIDENT. GM's fullsize SUVs boost highway mileage by nearly 10 percent

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

We met the redesigned 2015 versions of the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, and the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL at the 2013 LA Auto Show. Improved gas mileage numbers have been announced to go along with the improved exteriors and interiors, with city mileage improving by seven percent and highway mileage going up by nearly ten percent; you'll now get 16 miles per gallon in the city and 23 on the highway.
The only applies to models with the 5.3-liter engine, though, not the premium Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali SUVs with the 6.2-liter motor. Still, the 5.3 gets you more power than previously, with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque underfoot, on top of the improved fuel economy numbers. The 6.2-liter sticks with official mpg ratings of 15 highway, 21 city. There's a brief press release below with words straight from the horse's mouth.

Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon midsize pickup trucks to get diesel engines

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

The market for midsize pickup trucks has all but been abandoned in the US, but General Motors is about to shake the market up with the all-new (to the US) Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. Launching next year, GM already told us that its new trucks would be a "fuel-efficient alternative" to fullsize trucks, and aside from the smaller size, Automotive News says that these trucks will accomplish this with a diesel engine.
According to the AN report, the next-gen Colorado and Canyon will offer a small, four-cylinder Duramax turbo diesel with a displacement of either 2.5 or 2.8 liters - both engines are currently used in this truck for other markets. This would allow GM to join the Cummins-powered Nissan Titan and Ram 1500 EcoDiesel as the only non-HD trucks in the US to offer diesel. The article goes on to say that the diesel versions of the Colorado and Canyon would launch about a year after the trucks go into production in fall of 2014.

2015 Sierra All Terrain HD looks ready to hit heavy-duty trails

Thu, 22 May 2014

GMC is getting its heavy-duty trucks ready for the mud this summer with its All Terrain package for the Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD. Meant to blend style, tech and ruggedness, the pack includes a lot of extra chrome outside and an off-road package underneath.
The 2015 Sierra All Terrain HD trucks naturally come standard with four-wheel drive with an electronically controlled transfer case to handle things in the dirt. The Z71 off-road package is also standard, which includes Rancho twin-tube shocks, hill descent control and a skid plate. To add some style when off the beaten path, the pack includes chrome trim on the mirror caps, lower bumper and grille surround, plus LEDs around the headlights and 18-inch wheels (20-inchers are optional on the 2500HD). The 3500HD also gets chrome, adjustable outside camper mirrors. The interior receives a technology upgrade thanks to the standard rearview camera and IntelliLink infotainment that can act as a Wi-Fi hotspot through OnStar 4G LTE, read text messages and includes Siri Eyes Free for iPhone users.
The All Terrain package goes on sale on both trucks this summer and is offered on either the SLE or SLT trim levels in double cab and crew cab models. The standard engine is the 6.0-liter V8 with 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, but the Duramax 6.6-liter, diesel V8 with 397 hp and 765 lb-ft is also available. The gas engine is mated to a Hydra-matic six-speed automatic, and the diesel uses an Allison six-speed automatic. Scroll down to read the full announcement about these heavy-duty off-roaders.
