1999 GMC DIESEL EXTENDED 3500 VAN

LOTS OF MILES, 287000 (PLUS OR MINUS)

AM/FM RADIO, A/C NEEDS CHARGING, POWER WINDOWS, POWER LOCKS, CC, AT.

THE VAN HAS BEEN USED, BUT IT STILL RUNS AND WILL MAKE A GOOD WORK TRUCK FOR SOMEONE THAT HAULS LARGE , HEAVY STUFF.

HEAVY DUTY RUNNING GEAR, ONE TON CHASSIS.

ITS GOT SOME RUST, SEE THE PICTURES, THE WORST IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SIDE ENTERANCE DOORS.

HAS A HEAVY DUTY TRAILER RECIEVER.

TIRES ARE AVERAGE, AND IM INCLUDING 7 EXTRAS PLUS THE SPARE. ALL WILL BE GOOD FOR A FEW THOUSAND MILES, NOT MUCH MORE.

IT WAS A PASSENGER VAN, ALL THE REAR SEATS ARE GONE, BUT THE TRACKS ARE STILL THERE.

IT IS SET UP WITH A DOUBLE BATTERY, THE ONE UNDER THE FLOOR WAS A REAL PAIN, SO THAT ONE IS NOW LOCATED BEHIND THE DRIVERS SEAT. MUCH BETTER.

IT HAS A SHELF RACK MOUNTED BEHIND THE DRIVERS SEAT, I THINK YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE PICTURES.

THE VAN IS SWEPT OUT, BUT BY NO MEANS WASHED CLEAN. DONT EXPECT THAT NEW CAR SMELL, BUT DONT WORRY,DONT EXPECT ANY SMELL, THERES NOTHING LINGERING INSIDE.

AS YOU CAN SEE THE WINDOW STICKERS ARE CURRENT, I JUST TOOK IT OFF THE ROAD A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, WHEN I BOUGHT A REPLACEMENT.

THERES A WEAR HOLE IN THE DRIVERS SEAT, BUT ITS STILL COMFORTABLE. SEE PICTURES.

PLEASE DONT EXPECT A $45000 VAN, THATS THE REPLACEMENT COST, THIS IS THE $2000 DOLLAR VERSION. DO YOU  UNDERSTAND?

THIS SHOULD GIVE YOU AN IDEA HOW LOW THE RESERVE IS SET, IT IS WAY BELOW $2000.00, SO DONT ASK, JUST BID.

SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO PUSH HARD ON THE WINDOW BUTTONS TO MAKE THEM WORK, BUT THEY DO WORK.

THE PASSENGER DOOR IS THE ONLY DOOR THAT HAS A POWER LOCK BUTTON THAT WORKS. AND THAT DOES NOT LOCK THE SIDE ENTERENCE DOORS.

THE A/C WORKS, BUT RIGHT NOW THE REAR COMPRESSOR LEAKS, AND THE LINES NEED TO BE BLOCKED OFF SO IT WILL TAKE A CHARGE, THEN AT LEAST THE FRONT A/C WILL WORK.

THE OIL AND FILTER HAS BEEN CHANGED EVERY 3000 MILES, USING GOOD DIESEL GRADE OIL ONLY, AND ABOUT EVERY 3 OR 4 OIL CHANGES, I CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER.

I HAVE NOT OWNED THE VAN SINCE IT WAS NEW, SO I DONT KNOW WHAT THE PREVIOUS OWNERS HABITS WERE, IT WAS A CHURCH BUS, THEN A DELIVERY TRUCK. IF I REMEMBER RIGHT, I HAVE OWNED IT ABOUT 5 OR 6 YEARS.

HERES THE LAST THING, EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON THAT I HAVE FIGURED OUT, THE TRANNY WILL NOT UPSHIFT IN THE LOW GEARS. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS CRAZY, BUT IF YOU PULL OVER AND TURN OFF THE TRUCK, SIT ABOUT A MINUTE, AND RESTART IT, IT WILL GO NO PROBLEM. I HAVE NEVER NAILED DOWN WHY. BUT THE STOP/WAIT/RESTART ALWAYS WORKS, I GUESS IT RESETS A RELAY. IM TOLD THERE ARE SHIFTING RELAYS IN THE TRANNY, BUT TO ME ITS NOT WORTH THE BOTHER.

I GUESS IVE TOLD ABOUT ALL I CAN THINK OF, IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU BID.

CHEAP WORK TRUCK, VERY LOW RESERVE.

IF YOU WANT TO COME SEE IT, ITS LOCATED IN BROCKPORT NY 14420, SEND ME A NOTE AND WE WILL PICK A TIME THATS GOOD.

THERES A $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE PAYPAL DEPOSIT DUE AT THE END OF THE AUCTION WITHIN 24 HOURS. THE BALANCE IS DUE WHEN YOU PICK IT UP, CASH ONLY. WITHIN 7 DAYS, IF YOU NEED LONGER, LET ME KNOW.

Satisfaction with dealer service rises, Lexus and GMC are tops

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

During the economic downturn, many car dealerships counteracted their slowing income by focusing on things that would set them apart from competition - things like the quality of customer service they provide. When the economy picked up and more sales and service followed, many also first invested those funds back into the business, improving their dealership facilities and service centers.
It looks like those investments are paying off, as J.D. Power and Associates' latest Customer Service Index Study shows that overall consumer satisfaction with dealer service has increased to 797 (on a 1,000-point scale), up from 787 in 2012 and 29 points higher than the score in 2011. The study also finds that people are more satisfied with the service they get at dealerships compared to independent service providers, despite the much higher average out-of-pocket cost per visit ($118 vs. $44).
Note, however, that this study only looks at how people are treated by a dealer's service department during the first three years of ownership (the survey is based on responses from 91,000 owners and lessees of 2008 to 2012 model year vehicles), so we're talking about the experience had when bringing a car in for repair or maintenance work, most likely under warranty. In fact, maintenance work is increasing in share and accounted for 77 percent of service visits (up from 72 percent in 2012 and 63 percent in 2011). This helps explain why customer satisfaction has also risen, since a properly maintained car is one that's less likely to require a dealer visit for an unexpected repair.

Son surprises his dad by restoring his 1949 pickup for Christmas

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Norman Meal, an 83-year-old retired farmer from Rushville, IN, nearly missed his big Christmas gift when his son, Kyle, first presented it to him. Norman was oblivious and was looking all over the garage floor until Kyle pointed out a satin black pickup with a bow on it parked inside. This wasn't just another case of a child buying a parent a dream vehicle; the '49 GMC sitting there was Norman's very first truck that was restored and ready to drive. According to Fox 59 WXIN, Norman's father purchased the GMC in 1949, and Norman bought it from him in the mid '50s to use on the farm. However, for about the past 13 years, the truck had been rotting away in the garage of one of Kyle's friends. As a perfect gift to his dad, Kyle took the pickup to a restoration shop to make the old vehicle roadworthy again. Practically everything was replaced – except for the horn. Thankfully, Kyle filmed his dad's reaction to getting the GMC. Check it out and watch them take a drive in the heartwarming video above.

2019 GMC Sierra spied sporting just a thin wrapping

Mon, Nov 6 2017

A new Chevy Silverado is on the way, and along with that comes it's fraternal twin, the GMC Sierra. We've seen spy shots before, but, like the Silverado we saw a few days ago, this is our best look yet. Nearly all of the loose-fitting camouflage has been removed, giving us a decent view of the bodywork. A brief look shows that the Sierra and Silverado will have significant styling differences for this generation. In the past, GMC trucks have been little more than rebadged Chevrolets. That's been changing in recent years, and the divide seems to be growing larger. The grille looks much larger than the Silverado's and there appears to be a small inlet right where the hood meets the front. From the side, we can see that the two trucks have different fenders and beds. The wheel wells on the GMC are squared off at the rear. Compare that to the round wells on the Chevy. Out back, the design is far more similar. Both trucks appear to have rear-facing exhaust outlets. The taillights, too, look to have close to the same shape. A big bulge in the center of the tailgate likely hides a large GMC badge. We still don't have a firm reveal date, but look for some further news this auto show season. Related Video:
