I am a careful driver and caring owner. There are obvious wear, so few dents here and there...inside is very clean, has factory service light is on but had it checked, one small crack on the driver side "side panel (see picture)" and passenger seat lever is not working. drives GREAT and had no major problem since buying it. It seems that there was one front bumper accident in 2004 (3 years before I purchased it) but there is no apparent visible evidence today."

Hello,

This 2000 4WD Jimmy is in very good condition.  Since I purchased it in 2007, it has never given me any major problems (outside of regular oil, tire, break and fan belt changes)  It is a 4WD (high and low settings) so it is very good for heavy rains and snow.  It has keyless entry system, auto power locks, power windows and a GREAT radio/CD player with great sound!  It has 181k miles but they are mostly highway miles...I bought it in 2007 at 138k so it has only been driven 40,000 miles since 2007.  That's approximately ONLY 6500 miles per year!  So everything runs quite well.  I am selling it because we bought another smaller car.  It is a versatile vehicle as I have used it for hauling equipment (U-Haul hitch is attached), went camping etc... The back seats do flatten out so it becomes a flatbed.  Automatic mirrors need new fuse but works manually.  It also has an automatic back glass hatch opener, heater and wiper.

Minor blemishes are: One small split (can be seen in the picture) in the interior driver side panel, the seat lever on the passenger side is not working and the passenger door panel is a bit loose but still perfectly operational.  There are no other cracks or blemishes inside. As with all vehicles, there is the usual and normal wear on the body and inside.  But it is very clean (inside and outside) and the upholstery (seats and carpet) is in very good condition, as seen in the pictures.  Outside has a few dents but hardly visible, as you can see in the pictures.  All of the gauges work on the driver panel.  Air Conditioner works perfectly and does get very cold.  All 4 tires are still good but will need replacement within the year (depending on how much you drive). All 4 tires were changed 32k miles ago and they are 45k-mile tires.  The engine is still sound and runs very smoothly.  Please feel free to ask any questions.  I bought this vehicle in October of 2007.  There were two previous owners both with liens on the car and in 2004, there was an accident reported of front bumper damage.  But when I purchased it in 10/2007 (paid cash $7500, no loan), there was no apparent visible damage and there is no current front bumper damage as it has been replaced since 2004.  Everything is disclosed.  Come see for yourself!  It's a good solid car.  Thank You.

GM 6.2L EcoTec V8 rated at 21 mpg by the EPA

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

General Motors is already laying claim to best-in-class power for its new 6.2-liter V8 that will be offered in the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra this fall, and now it has released fuel economy numbers for the big engine. Available as an option on the Silverado LTZ and High Country (shown above) models as well as the the Sierra SLT and Denali trims, the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 will return 15 miles per gallon in the city and 21 mpg on the highway on rear-wheel-drive trucks; these numbers drop by one mpg each on four-wheel-drive models.
These estimates are in addition to the engine's 420 horsepower, 460 pound-feet of torque and max trailering capacity of 12,000 pounds, and considering all that power it's not terribly far away from the fuel economy of GM's equally new 4.3-liter V6 and its rating of 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. This announcement comes just days after a report indicated that GM is unable to keep up with the demand of the 5.3-liter V8 in the fullsize Chevy and GMC trucks due to supplier issues. GM's official press release for the 6.2-liter V8's fuel economy is posted below.

GMC caught using Rivian R1T image for Sierra Denali EV Photoshop

Fri, Oct 28 2022

The rise of electric start-ups have many legacy automakers checking their rear view mirrors as they scramble to join the EV party. Most wouldn't like to admit it publicly, but we know that at least some folks at General Motors are keeping an eye on Rivian. That's because a recent post on social media account by the General Motors design department appears to have used an image of the Rivian R1T, but heavily photoshopped. The post was intended as a peek of the GMC Sierra Denali EV's rear view. Eagle-eyed observers like AllCarNews soon noticed many familiar elements to the rendering, including the wheels and tires, mirrors and doors. Even the backgrounds are identical, including some leaves that the truck is kicking up. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Seen side by side, the two pickups' similarities don't end there. The Sierra EV is wider, but the cab's rear pillars and glass look the same as the Rivian's, just stretched horizontally. The rear bumper and its license plate cutout and reflectors on either side look a bit too close for comfort as well.  The post as since been deleted. A GM spokesperson explained the situation to The Drive, "The GM Design Instagram channel is meant to give followers an inside look at the process of designing new products and the creative teams behind it. Often, these posts use sketches made for internal studio use during design development. The sketch in question was intended for internal use only, and was posted without the necessary approval. It has been removed from the GM Design Instagram page." Automakers often use products from the competition as benchmarks or design inspiration. Designers sometimes use existing images as a starting point as well, in order to quickly get an idea down "on paper". They just tend to do it in private. A juggernaut like GM using an image from an upstart like Rivian is embarrassing for the General, but surely an ego boost for the EV brand.  When dealing with an up-and-comer, perhaps it's best to take a page from Mad Men's Don Draper. In season four of the advertising drama, a newspaper calls the hot shot exec for a quote, after a young rival publicly says he's gunning for Draper. Draper knows exactly who the reporter is talking about but when asked for comment says, "Never heard of him." Related Video This content is hosted by a third party. Hacker jury rigs Amazon Echo into voice-controlled remote start

Wed, Mar 30 2016

A lot of automakers have smartphone apps to start, lock, or unlock a connected car. Some automakers will even let you do that with a smartwatch. Then, there's YouTube user Jryanishere, who decided to use Amazon's chatty Echo voice-controlled, internet-connected information thingy. Yes, we said thingy, because we aren't really sure how else to describe the Echo. While the Echo system has received a hearty ad campaign – featuring Alec Baldwin asking Amazon's virtual assistant, Alexa, questions and ordering socks – we think this might be the first really useful thing we've seen it do. Using a MacBook, a Raspberry Pi, an Echo, an OBDLink plug-in, and his 4G LTE-equipped GMC, Jryanishere has basically made a voice-controlled remote-start system. Now, like so many voice-controlled things, this strikes us more of an extravagance than something that's functionally worthwhile. After all, the remote start on the a GMC keyfob isn't exactly rocket science. You can check out the Echo in action up top. Jryanishere gives a pretty thorough breakdown of how the setup works in the video above, but if you're at all into this sort of technological mischief, you'll want to watch (and check out the hilariously detailed blog explaining the job).
