INTERIOR

THIS TORINO HAS AN AUTOMATIC COLUMN SHIFT WITH NEW AIR CONDITIONING. IT HAS JUST OVER 28,000 MILES ON IT WHICH IS EXTREMELY RARE TO FIND. THE INTERIOR COLOR IS BLACK AND IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THE DASH IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE AS ARE THE DOOR PANELS AND CARPET. THE CAR HAS THE ORIGINAL AM RADIO STILL IN IT AND ALSO HAS A NEW AFTER MARKET AM-FM CD PLAYER WITH NEW SPEAKERS. IT SOUNDS REALLY GREAT.

EXTERIOR

THE CAR WAS A RARE FIND WHEN I BOUGHT IT WITH THE LOW MILEAGE AND WAS A NICE YELLOW COLOR. IT WAS A TOTALLY RUST FREE CAR AS YOU WILL SEE IN THE PICTURES. THE TRUNK AND FLOOR PANS WERE COMPLETELY SOLID ALONG WITH ALL THE BODY FENDERS. THE FRAME IS IN PERFECT SHAPE WITH NO RUST AT ALL. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS RUST FREE AND LOOKS REALLY CLEAN AND SHOW-QUALITY AS SEEN IN PHOTOS. THE TIRES ARE ALL LIKE BRAND NEW AND HAVE THE CORRECT STARSKY & HUTCH RIMS. THE CHROME BUMPERS ARE IN GREAT DRIVER CONDITION BUT NOT SHOW SHOW CONDITION. ( SEE PHOTOS ) THE UNDER CARRIAGE WAS ALL SANDED DOWN AND TREATED WITH A RUST INHIBITOR TO PREVENT FUTURE RUST. IT WAS THEN PAINTED GLOSS BLACK TO A SHOW FINISH, ( SEE PHOTOS ). THERE WERE NEW REAR SHOCKS AND NEW REAR HEAVY DUTY COIL SPRINGS ADDED TO GIVE IT THE COOL RAKE IT HAS. Ford bumped by Amazon in best-perceived brand list

Back in July, a mid-year study from YouGov found Ford to have higher brand perception than any other company in the US. While Ford failed to top the year-end study, it still has plenty to brag about. The final BrandIndex report shows that online retail giant Amazon edged out Ford for the top ranking, while Subway, the History Channel and Lowe's rounded out the top five spots.
For Ford, it's still an improvement from sixth place in the 2012 study, and, more importantly, it dominated other automakers in terms of brand perception with a clear advantage over Toyota, Honda, Chevy and Volkswagen. To determine how well - or not so well - a brand is perceived, YouGov uses a Buzz score that asks respondents whether they've "heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth" and whether it was positive or negative. While it isn't clear how many respondents were included, YouGov does point out that Ford had a strong presence in social media, advertising and newsworthy toward the end of the year.

Ford gets its Movement on, releases 'Sounds of Focus' tracks

Ford has, for at least the second year in a row, teamed up with techno promoter Paxahau and a couple of artists to make music in recognition of the Detroit Movement music festival. This time, Movement performers Ataxia and Secrets were selected by Ford, and were invited to spend some time at the automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant, which gives birth to the Ford Focus and Focus Electric models.
Now that we know the what, how about the why? According to Ford, "Detroit is uniquely tied to the origins of the electronic music scene. In the 1980's variations of electronic music stemmed from inspirations of industry, including the automotive sector." So, there you go. Ford Transit gets outfitted for prison duty

Between the Taurus-based Police Interceptor, the Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility and the F-150 and Expedition special service vehicles, Ford has no lack of offerings for law enforcement. And now it has one more in the form of the new Transit PTV.
Based on the fullsize Transit van, the Prisoner Transport Vehicle can move as many as 12 prisoners in three separate compartments between detention facilities. Created in collaboration with Pennsylvania-based Havis Prisoner Transport Solutions and with input from Ford's Police Advisory Board, the Transit PTV takes advantage of the Transit's considerable configuration options that include three roof heights, two wheelbases, three lengths and four body-styles - not to mention engine options that include the flex-fuel 3.7-liter V6, 3.5-liter EcoBoost and 3.2-liter Power Stroke diesel.
"Transit PTV is the latest example of Ford's deep commitment to helping provide law enforcement agencies with capable vehicles. This concept proves Transit is upfit-ready and designed to Built Ford Tough standards," said Jonathan Honeycutt, Ford police marketing manager. "Many Police Advisory Board members have had the chance to drive this vehicle and they are excited about it. This new vehicle is tough, smart and efficient - ideal for the needs of law enforcement agencies."
