60 Thunderbird, A Real Head Turner, Red Interior, Ready To Cruise! on 2040-cars
San Diego, California, United States
|
The
Ford Thunderbird debuted in 1955 as Ford’s entry into the two seat sports car
created by Chevrolet Corvette. The
Thunderbird was always about STYLE, and the clean styling, creature comforts
and V8 refinement made it a sales success.
The Thunderbird was only available as a convertible, but a distinctive removable
hardtop with circular portholes was available and was a popular option. The
Ford Thunderbird was Ford’s answer to the Chevrolet Corvette, but the Corvette
never strayed far from its two seat sports car concept. The Thunderbird would soon add a hardtop
coupe version, a back seat and even two more doors as the do-everything
personal car for Ford over the years. It
always provided decent performance along with a dash of style. Hardtop,
white exterior, red interior, white wall tires. The
frame has all been painted and under coated. Glass
in excellent condition
Remember, this car is 53 years old and is in no way perfect. It does have a few very minor imperfections and squeaks.

2015 Ford Mustang GT [w/video]
Fri, 19 Sep 2014At 50 years old, the object of fantasies, a tuner's dream, a movie star and more than nine million strong, it couldn't be truer to say that the Ford Mustang needs no introduction. This newest Mustang, however - making the biggest changes we've seen to the pony car since perhaps 1964.5 - is something Ford has been introducing all year.
We went on a Deep Dive, covered the way it looks when it was revealed, detailed the engine specs, got a ride in the EcoBoost and listened to the V8, got rolling footage and watched it do a standard-feature burnout.
The only thing left to do? Drive it. Having now done so for a few hours around Los Angeles, what we can tell you is to forget everything you know about the Mustang. This new car shames the old, redefines the model and gallops far ahead of anything else in the segment.
Ken Block is at it again in Gymkhana 6
Mon, 11 Nov 2013If there's one thing we'll say about Ken Block and his latest installment in the Gymkhana family, it's that it's far more structured than previous videos, but that doesn't mean it skimps on the entertainment. Block is on a purpose-built course which was touted as "The... Ultimate... Gymkhana... Grid... Course" in last week's preview. Unlike Gymkhana 5, which took placed on closed streets in San Francisco, this course seems much more compact.
Block has an entire array of challenges to tackle in his 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta ST, and none of them look particularly easy. In fact, we'd argue that Gymkhana 6's grid course requires much more precise driving that previous titles. There are Segways, Lamborghinis and massive pieces of construction equipment that all must be dealt with.
We've got the entire 6:28 of Gymkhana madness for you down below. Scroll down for the video and then hit Comments and let us know how this installment compares to previous Block works.
Autoblog Minute: Ford's EV Consumer Satisfaction Survey
Fri, Aug 21 2015Survey says, drivers that go green stay green. Ninety-two percent of plugged-in Americans said they planned to buy electric again. Autoblog's Adam Morath reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Survey says, drivers that go green stay green. I'm Adam Morath and this is your Autoblog Minute. Ford commissioned a survey of 10,000 electric vehicle owners, posing the question: What would will you buy next? 92 percent of plugged-in Americans said they planned to buy electric again, citing a preference for clean tech and the instant power provided by an electric motor. But what about drivers who live in states with fewer or no plug-in incentives? [00:00:30] Autoblog spoke with Stephanie Janczak who works with electric vehicle technology at Ford: [00:01:00] [STEPHANIE JANCZAK INTERVIEW] Low gas prices and rising truck sales may have stalled EV adoption in the U.S. but Ford's survey shows high satisfaction amongst current EV customers. Begging the question, what will you buy next? Let us know in the comments. For Autoblog, I'm Adam Morath. Autoblog Minute is a short-form video news series reporting on all things automotive.
